Wonderful lesson, the most precious prayers! Thank you fb for messing up, because this feels more personal, and feels more one on one! GOD's many blessings!
Thank for sharing this video. You have helped me understand forgiveness better than anyone else has. Now could you explain writing a letter of forgiveness to those you can't physically talk to?
You said we can't forgive someone who is continuing to abuse us. I'm an almost 43 year old who is still verbally, emotionally and psychologically abused by my bully of a father, who is also a pastor. Any boundaries I set get trampled, and any olive branch metaphorically extended gets metaphorically lit on fire. And what makes it worse is we're coworkers in the non-pastoral job he has. He uses that opportunity to bad mouth me to the boss, lords over me his connection that got me the job after I hit rock bottom, and even though I'm working from home now, I still have to see him and take his abuse when I go in to pick up my check. Holidays are not safe with him, but he has made it clear that there will be consequences if I don't show up. I've gotten in with CR at my church (not his church), but my sponsor is often too busy to answer texts, and I was victimized by someone at CR, meaning that streaming is the only way I'm able to participate now. I have a lot to forgive, but I have a lot of barriers between me and getting to that place.
Nine months ago and NO ONE has answered. I LOVE you, and whoever you are I will pray for you AND your father. The CR program can be rough at times...after 13 years in the program myself I can attest to this...remember, hurt people hurt people. Sometimes people need to be walked away from. Sometimes the boundary should be a HIGH wall...I love you. I hope this brings some encouragement to you.
@@Gstark88 the lack of crosstalk makes it so that CR doesn't work for me. I'm actually seeing two different therapists right now, one group and the other one on one.
He 💯 forgives us because He knows our heart intention. He knows that we are coming from a place of trying and failing. The word failing is never a bad word, it truly gives us a chance to check-back in with God to fine-tune our walk with Him. I want to encourage you to keep walking with wanting to know His heart intention for your life ✝️🩸🙇🏽♀️

What about repeating sins?? Like relapsing?? Does God just keep forgiving us when we mess up?
