We usually put ours up the day after Thanksgiving. I lost my husband in July 2019. Last Christmas was certainly rough with out him. The Lord is so gracious though and gives us strength day by day as we heal. Our kids are grown and now a grandbaby is here too and she is precious! With all that's happened this past year, I just may break tradition and decorate for Christmas earlier than usual! Blessings to you and your sweet family!🎄

Hey, Kathryn, I agree we need christmas early this year, and to me it's not even about gifts this year, it's about the joy and happiness and peace that we need the most. Wishing you and your family and everyone in this community a happy, healthy, and blessed holiday season!❤❤❤❤❤
Yes! Christmas is also coming up earlier here (my husband was mocking me that I was almost going to set it up before taking Halloween down...), and particularly decorated - I guess we all need that joy! I wonder how the flocks will look on Dollar Tree's Christmas tree...

Growing up my dad sold trees that a friend and my dad cut from his mountain property. My sisters birthday was Dec 16 and we decorated it the day before her birthday. It was a huge tree. We lived in a house that was 75 years old in the 1960’s with extremely high ceilings. The topper touched the ceiling. They dressed us in the same outfits only mine was in the pink family and my sisters was in the blue family. I just came across one of my Christmas gifts that was pink my jewelry box. Love this look!!! Got me all teary eyed thinking of my dad and how he put the silver tinsel on. It had to be one piece at a time and hanging just right. Beautiful memory!
I have no happy childhood memories of Christmas. Mom was depressed and dad was a miserable drunk. Its never been my favorite holiday. Every year since I've had children of my own i make a promise to make a better Christmas than the year before. Its never easy but these videos help keep me on track for them. I only see Christmas through my children's eyes. Thanks for sharing your creative ideas. God bless and stay safe
We put ours up on Christmas Eve! We spend Advent preparing our hearts for Christmas. Our church does this as well, so our Christmas Eve service ushers in Christmas. It makes Christmas Day a complete burst of joy! We started doing this 6 years ago and I could never go back!

We have had a flocked tree for 5 years and we love it. We get a lot of snow so it just seems right to have a flocked tree. We put our tree up after Thanksgiving.
One of our most memorable trees was flocked with silver and light blue ornaments. It had white candle lights and I put it on a five gallon bucket to make it look taller. It had a beautiful fabric tree skirt draped around the bucket. It was SO beautiful and gave my four children comfort and healing after a most painful divorce from their Dad. Thank heavens for lovely Christmas trees throughout the world and the gift of the Babe born in Bethlehem.
@@lindakirk698 we don't celebrate it here 😂😂 we have memorial day in like May. I assume it is the same thing but called different and celebrated on a different day. Dont be that ignorant to where you think every country celebrates the same things
Great ideas! I’m an absolute traditionalist and never start decorating for Christmas until after Thanksgiving. There have been years where we waited until Christmas Eve to put up a tree. It was kind of magical and honestly, gave us something to do so we wouldn’t open presents too early. :-)
I want to tell you, YOU ARE ENOUGH! You are so doggone sweet. I really enjoy your videos and keep up the good work. I think that I would like to flock some candle votives, like the bottom half possibly. Some of the glass votives from Dollar Tree would work but better yet I have some glass yogurt containers that are the perfect votive candle size. In fact I have a bunch of them and I just decided to make some sweet little gifts out of them. Maybe a set of three flocked votives with candles in a pretty box or basket. Or tie on a name card to use as a party favor / place setting card. Oh I'm so excited... I have to go and order my snow. LOL Thank you and may God bless and keep you and your family.
I agree with you that a lot of people are putting Christmas stuff up early because they just want to feel joy for something. Growing up my mom always had I flicked trees but my grandma had a flocked tree every year and it was a different color flocking every year! So the flocked trees bring back a lot of memories for me. I hope to decorate early myself. Thank you as always Kathryn for your awesome ideas! Your house is looking so festive and pretty already 🎄

Thank you your videos. I watch you during my lunch at work. I love the inspiration but more than anything I enjoy how much your personality shines through. Keep them coming.
I grew up with a very eclectic tree as well and I still honor that. Now although the glass balls are red and white, the rest of the ornaments were collected over the years. I have two daughters, one who is just post undergrad and looking to go into medical school after a gap year and the other a sophomore at UCLA. Ever since they were little, I have bought a new ornament for the tree and one I store for each of them. When they are ready to decorate their own trees, they will be able to have the ornaments they have grown up with their whole lives.
when you showed that about your father lifting you to put the angel on the tree, then you lifting your son, it made me cry. feeling nostalgic! the last few years i tend to put my tree up early just because i love it and think that one of my nicest feelings are when i sit and look at the lit tree at night, with no TV, etc. But this year...i think i want to enjoy fall/Thanksgiving decor just a bit longer. I plan this weekend to start incorporating a little Christmas into it, and will probably put my tree up next week..next weekend at the very latest. I love Christmas SO much!!!!!!!
I don’t put a tree up until the week before Christmas, otherwise I find I get over Christmassed and I lose the focus on Christ. But I love it while it’s there!
Thanks for always sharing your heart with us. I can tell you were getting emotional about the memory of your dad and I feel the same way about the memories of my dad.
This video couldn’t have come at a more perfect time. I bought that exact flock from amazon & it was delivered Saturday. I bought a 6ft Christmas tree last year after Christmas for $6 at 90% off. Plan to do this today! Thank you! 🌲
@@mireyaaxo thank you! Can't wait to do mine..I was just scared the flocked would turn yellow and ruined my tree. Feel better knowing I can keep using the same tree For few years.
I think your red deer would be pretty with a light flocking on their antlers and their back, like they were caught in a snowfall, while in the woods. I will put my small tree up , probably in a couple of weeks. I have to put up my Ch as Elie Brown tree, as well. I love your videos. They as re always so much fun. 💜💜💜 Have a beautiful day. 💜💜💜
I love this idea 😍 thanks so much for sharing the link. I love the look of the flocked tree and garland. I also love that this product is safe and non toxic too.
We're waiting on Christmas decor until after Thanksgiving (right now we have a few fall/Thanksgiving things after Halloween), but I've already made a couple pieces of Christmas decor and I think I'm going to start having the kids work on some Christmas crafts now so they'll be ready for the end of the month!
I've been working from home since March and have rarely been out of the house, seen my family or friends. So for my depression and to keep some of my sanity my husband got our tree out of the attic the weekend after Halloween so it's been up for several weeks already. And I'm loving it!
November 8th!! I can’t wait! Love the flocking idea, probably won’t be my main tree, I am thinking that I want to do a garland on the banister around my front porch and maybe a tall skinny tree to match the garland!! That’s the closest I will get to a white Christmas in sunny Florida! Thanks for the inspiration! 🌞❄️🎄💕
I always wanted a flock tree but couldn't afford it. But now I can thanks for this video. You are such an inspiration person. Very cheerful person. Thanks
Me personally since I live in Canada Even though there’s already snow on the ground I don’t put up my Christmas tree till after November 11 (remembrance day )
Love the flocking! It is so beautiful and festive. I am with you on the Christmas content going up sooner this year and I definitely don't mind getting in the Christmas spirit early. Just more time to spend with those decoration and Christmas cheer. 🎨💕 Maria
I'm starting my Christmas 🎄 decorating this week. I'm very excited for Christmas because we all need something magical this year and Christmas fits the bill!🎄🎅 😍 ❄ ⛄ 🎁 🎁
Been watching for years, but this is my first time to comment. We do the exact same thing with my kids, putting the angel on the tree. We have pictures from every year. Now my kids are teenagers. They don't have to be held up, or even stand on a ladder, to put the angel on the tree. I bought the angel at a craft fair when we lived in Guam. It is made out of shells. I am sure that crafter had no idea her creation would become a tradition!
Mine went up Halloween eve. Needed some beauty and positivity right now. It’s also represents Christ, I’m hanging on to Him for sure!!!! Love the flocking. I bought a flocked tree this year!!!
We wait to put are tree up until after my birthday because with a December birthday it's really hard not to forget about your own birthday in the madness of Christmas.
Also can you please do a positive non-faith based video on how to enjoy the holidays flying solo? Not all of us are super close with our family, because they're abusive or energy vampires, or maybe this year because of the quarantine some of us have to be alone. 😚 I realize that a lot of people are using early Christmas as way of going to their Happy Place but this time of year is not necessarily the happiest time of year for everyone. For me personally, the first day I can work in my garden, is the happiest time of the year! 😊🌿🌈🍓🍅🍉 I thought about it, and I have a channel, and even though my videos are not very good quality I think I'd rather provide a service than not so I might end up doing one. 😊🌈💃💗
There’s lots of info on the Amazon listing both about safety and about how to use the material. Here’s one excerpt: “SnoFlock is Environmentally Safe, Biodegradable, and Non-Toxic, so when flocking a fresh cut Christmas Tree, it can be recycled along with the tree at the end of the season.”
You got me slicing onions talking about your Dad...mines is still here 84 years young...I have GREAT childhood memories too...made me smile!! Yes this is the year of do what you want...it did!! Lol
In Adelaide South Australia, our tree goes up as soon as we have our Christmas Pageant and Father Christmas arrives - mid November. They broadcast this all over Australia and we watch at home. It's all a bit different this year though. No big crowds will attend. But the tree goes up the same. It's the prep for Christmas that makes it feel like Christmas for me. Thanks for your videos that inspire us.
Love, love the photos of you with your childhood Christmas tree. And surprised how much I love the flocking! I’d try a wreath or garland first to get the hang of it, I think. Maybe a bit of garland in an unexpected place. Hmmm...lots of possibilities! And in the South it adds the festive fun of the look of snow without having to shovel your driveway. 😉
Fun ideas. Yet, Wyoming have plenty of snow so you make me appreciate the fact that God brings it here and I should appreciate it since I did not have to work on putting it on but, just enjoy it. Enjoy your snow all over the house and I will enjoy the one outside 😀

This video couldn’t have come at a more perfect time. I bought that exact flock from amazon & it was delivered Saturday. I bought a 6ft Christmas tree last year after Christmas for $6 at 90% off. Plan to do this today! Thank you! 🌲
Hi, does the flock turns yellow from one Christmas to the other? I just ordered mine today. Thank you
@@cinthiarivera1354 nope i had mine for 2 years!
Why do I feel like crying everytime she says, "You're enough"...😭
Because she's probably the only one in your life who says it oh, just like for most of us.😣😔😊
Same, and we are...❤
Because you are enough.
Because you are Enough
God Bless Everyone
Me too! 💕
You are such a blessing. Thank you for all you do and share. You and enough, as well. Thank you, Katheryn!
I would use my garden hose nozzle on "mist" and not do all that squeezing
I literally did just that today to two 7 ft pencil trees and it worked like a charm!!
I love this idea 😍 thanks so much for sharing the link. I love the look of the flocked tree and garland. I also love that this product is safe and non toxic too.
WOW ♥️♥️ YOUR PHOTO IS SO BEAUTIFUL ♥️ HELLO BEAUTY IM IVAN

Thanks
Me personally since I live in Canada Even though there’s already snow on the ground I don’t put up my Christmas tree till after November 11 (remembrance day )
Kathryn, this is such a great video. Thank you for showing us how to flock just about anything. Your creativity is so great!

Love the flocking! It is so beautiful and festive. I am with you on the Christmas content going up sooner this year and I definitely don't mind getting in the Christmas spirit early. Just more time to spend with those decoration and Christmas cheer. 🎨💕 Maria
I started my Christmas decorating last week. Your video made me cry..with your memory. But it was so sweet. Thanks
I literally spit out my coffee at “flock it” 😂😂😂😂😂😂
gorgeous! watching your little one put the star on the tree was so heart warming. beautiful decor. thanks so much for sharing.
Hanukkah starts December 10 this year. We definitely need to add light in this dark time
I'm starting my Christmas 🎄 decorating this week. I'm very excited for Christmas because we all need something magical this year and Christmas fits the bill!🎄🎅 😍 ❄ ⛄ 🎁 🎁
I'll be putting up my tree this month November. Just gotta go through everything!!🥴
I love when you show your neighborhood, reminds me of Christmas with the Kranks! Looks like such a nice place to live.
My trees went up on October 29!! lol I couldn’t wait either. 😁 I love everything you share with us in your videos; truly creative!
Does the flocking shed? Particularly when decorating it
This is so cool! I’ve never seen this done. Thanks for sharing!
I love how it came out. We always do real live Christmas Trees in our home, would you still recommend to do that?
Mine went up Halloween eve. Needed some beauty and positivity right now. It’s also represents Christ, I’m hanging on to Him for sure!!!! Love the flocking. I bought a flocked tree this year!!!
My grandma said the faster we put up Christmas the faster it will come and the year will end!!
Hi Kathryn
Thank you for sharing some wonderful joy to everyone especially in these times
God bless you and your family xxxx
ALWAYS AFTER Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday and I feel that everyone jumps from Halloween to Christmas. It makes me sad.
Hi, I say flock everything! Great idea. I want my tree up yesterday! So fun!
I feel like I'd do this to a tree that was falling apart. Its super pretty just not my personal thing unless it could save the tree a few more years
That's just what I'm going to do! One more year..or two...
I'm putting up three trees this year, one in the dining room, one in our living room and one in our family room and I'm starting this weekend! 🎅☃️🎄🦌
Dime: uploads
Me: clicks faster than the speed of light 😂
I create vidz
We wait to put are tree up until after my birthday because with a December birthday it's really hard not to forget about your own birthday in the madness of Christmas.
Also can you please do a positive non-faith based video on how to enjoy the holidays flying solo? Not all of us are super close with our family, because they're abusive or energy vampires, or maybe this year because of the quarantine some of us have to be alone. 😚
I realize that a lot of people are using early Christmas as way of going to their Happy Place but this time of year is not necessarily the happiest time of year for everyone. For me personally, the first day I can work in my garden, is the happiest time of the year! 😊🌿🌈🍓🍅🍉
I thought about it, and I have a channel, and even though my videos are not very good quality I think I'd rather provide a service than not so I might end up doing one. 😊🌈💃💗
No family or alone, get a pet. Decorate and celebrate, cook, buy gifts for your pets. Rescue shelter animals. Pets are better than people.
Thanks. I have 2 rescue cats and one stray I'm currently feeding and hoping to rescue. 🐱
You make things so simple affordable and beautiful and to add very talented.
I love this. Is the flocking snow poisonous for animals? I have a 9 month old German Shepherd who is extremely chaotic!
I imagine that info would be on the Amazon listing or in the Amazon Q&A section :) definitely a good thing to know!
@@dorothyyoung8231 Thanks Dorothy!!
The amazon listing says it’s non toxic but also lists a safety mask as part of the tools you need to apply the flocking.
Christmas is my most favorite time of the year--kindness and goodness everywhere. We all need an extra dose this year--Merry Christmas!
Inspiration to perk up Chistmas decor. Do it on a dime, keep the creativity coming to us. Enjoy the videos.
You got me slicing onions talking about your Dad...mines is still here 84 years young...I have GREAT childhood memories too...made me smile!! Yes this is the year of do what you want...it did!! Lol
I put my tree November 1 because we need some spark and light in our life.
✨🎄✨ Yes decorating early need the peace & joy to the world ✨🙏🏼
My husband and my daughter do that too it's a tradition, but she's 12 now and almost as tall as him so now they just do it together.
Love that you shared that memory with us!
Great idea…love it.
