My family, friends and neighbors are voting for Pierre, the count for conservatives will go up to 70% and no coalition can stand up to that.. Pierre for PM.
This "rebate" is claimed to be quarterly. My husband and are seniors on cpp/oas and only received two payments last year totalling less than $400. We paid out more than double that in carbon tax. Cut the tax and no need for "rebates "

Bought gas the other day, and got the proper receipt. Carbon tax is added on the bill AFTER totaling the gas purchased and all the other taxes are combined. You are paying the carbon tax on the other gas taxes, not just the price of the gas. Isn't it illegal to tax a tax? But when has this government ever obeyed the laws of this country?

I believe we will be successful in moving away from fossil fuels. We currently live in a period where it is still needed by the masses. The transition to renewable energy is underway, but we are not there yet. This tax isn’t helping anyone. The idea of paying for a tax (that will magically be sent back in rebates) is nothing short of a waste of time and money.

So if we want to reduce the cost of homes we need to remove shareholders and private corporations (the middleman) they profit the most off our necessities. The landlord's on private levels. Building more homes doesnt reduce the cost especially when investors are told the opposite.

They use "pay your fair share" to drive another wedge between citizens. And the cavalier way that they spend, and demand more, and that we not complain or ask questions. We are working for our elected "servants "... they are our masters and we are the serfs. And they give millions to their cronies and benefactors, and make themselves rich and powerful. Buying votes and tricking the everyday person into believing the government cares. Our system is irretrievably broken and I'm not sure it can be solved without a total collapse.
