A lot of these games are about skill, and also muscle memory. You can make up for some skill with repeat practice and muscle memory, but damn, Gura is a damn apex predator - I've seen her complete fresh songs and perfect them, that's just raw skill.

But even in terms of game concepts, osu is harder than Muse Dash by a large margin. Note that I've played osu, but not Muse Dash. It appears that Muse Dash only has two keys, and figuring out key to hit can be easily determined using the location _and/or_ color of the target. The readability of any given chart can only be so hard. And a level can only get harder by either increasing the density of notes or making the rhythm more complex, possibly switching between the two keys in a chaotic way. Osu has only one key (technically multiple keys with the same input), but you hit notes by the location of your cursor. The only (foolproof) way you can tell when to hit a note is when its approach circle reaches the note. However, this can be tricky to read a lot of the time. Additionally, due to the added requirement of having the cursor in the right position, there are three ways a level can get harder. You can increase the density of the notes, increase the spacing between consecutive notes, increase the complexity of the rhythm in a song, or use a combination of any of the three.

That's a bit different than a regular rythm game like this, in addition to maintaining the rythm, you also have to memorize enemy movement patterns, and adapt perfectly do that... The rythm is consistent, but it brings exponential variables then more enemies are involved. xD I'm decent at muse dash, i'm consistently on the top 100 scoreboard, but Crypt of the Necrodancer and Cadence of Hyrule? Dude i'm lucky if i can even finish the game, rofl.
I got it 5 days ago and can clear a 10 star I don’t know if that’s good or not though I’ve only met people who have gotten the game today or veterans that can full combo 11stars
