[Question] What's your advice for upcoming developers trying to make vehicles in their racing game? There is a limited supply for people who have to be resourceful and/or do not have money.
How does the yaw look when rendered? Hypothetically you make a racing game with crazy looking tracks that look like a Hot Wheels track and there’s corkscrews, loop-de-loops, the works. Does it mess up or does it render nicely?
There is a plugin, which can make building roads faster. It is very fast when it comes to roads, but the plugin has limited types of road. It lacks sidewalks, the lanes can glitch. But the roads are way smoother compared to using archimedes.
The plugin is super unreliable and glitchy. I've used it before and it was a horrible experience. Yes, it was easy to make roads but accidentally interacting with the road in studio can completely glitch it with no way to revert it without having to completely remake it. Other people also cannot modify your road and add new roads in studio.
@@bacon_hair You just don't know how to use it, I only had to move a part and a whole unintentional curve was fixed. You arent supposed to interact with the roads that is located in the workspace, only in the plugins or the parts that it summons. Ive done that multiple times and a simple click has fixed it, you just don't know how to use the plugin.
Yeah, the same thing is happening to me. It's just a problem with the newer version. I would recommend using gap fill when you are trying to make sharper turns

I'm curious about the creation of the segment. What are the lane lines? Are they an additional part or texture? How many studs wide is a Lane? And how many studs from the line to the sidewalk? Is the road itself just a part with asphalt material or is it an additional texture?

im making gta on roblox like a 1:1 maop building and all but i started with the layout method but the only layout method ive done on is paleto bay a small portion fo the map so should i convert to this and switch to using studio instead of f3x games?
If you're planning on making a 1:1 gta map in roblox I do highly recommend switching to studio for a few reasons: 1. More control as you have access to things like plugins (including an f3x plugin if that's how you prefer to build) 2. You can release the map yourself and possibly have people join it once you finish. 3. More space for you, in game there are already other things you computer is having to run, in studio it's less intensive on your computer once the map gets bigger (as GTA is a pretty big map). For the first part though, not sure waht you mean by layout method. You can make your actual road segments you want, fully detailed, and then layout the entire road network (or the parts you want to focus on) and then add in the buildings
You can also use mesh parts, by placing a plane in blender and exporting it to studio, and using a road material variant. If you wanna go the extra mile you can texture paint it
