I love these types of vids. I wish more content creators did them. So much content is covered that we never really know which decks stuck with the ppl we watch
I have a really fun Goreclaw deck, it's built more as a mid-range strategy which you never really see in a Goreclaw deck. Its average mana curve is barely over 4 and people get really surprised when they expect me to play something huge and I just end up playing a lot of 4 and 6 mana creatures in one turn than the one or two 6+ mana creatures, it's quite aggro with all the drawing going on in the deck too, I put ALL the draw cards in! lol
Everything about this sounds exactly like my new Goreclaw deck lmao I built it 4 months ago. 2023 Goreclaw is a real powerhouse and it has some real explosive turns drop like 2 or 3 4-6 drops in one turn etc. Concordant crossroads is a real strength of this deck to that and it being combat based. I also play apex devastator for about 7 reasons but some are due to all the cost reductions in the deck and easy casting for cascade plus the fact that there are no spells with higher cmc in the deck. The chance of cascading into a concordant crossroads on that explosive turn as well is a great potential. It's stuffed with draw like yours and a good take away is that Nissa, shaker of worlds (although not synergistic) is one of the best enablers to go off and I would never take it out in a million days.
9 months late to the party, but I just wanna say that I read this comment when the video came out and it stuck with me enough to make my own Goreclaw deck this way.
Ah your style of decks is just so inspiring. I can really see how much you have influenced my deckbuilding style since i started watching your videos. Great video, great decks, and thanks for all the inspiration over the years!
Some really creative builds in here. Especially intrigued by your Iname deck. Not surprised you like ETB builds. They can lead to some really interesting lines. My blink deck might be my favorite to play.
My top 5 I love to play: 1. FBLTHP, The Lost 2. Korvold, Fae cursed King 3. Zada Hedron Grinder 4. Raggadragga Goreguts boss 5. Xenagos God of Revels I think the main point you made is a very good point to always remember: Did you have fun? It isn't about the winning or the losing it is always about having fun, so even when I win or lose these 5 decks have fun either way :P
I have a Gerrard deck as well, but it slips more into a sacrifice theme where you sac your creatures for mana and then kill Gerrard off to get them back. You'll usually have enough mana afterward to recast Gerrard and set the wheel going again. A lot of creatures that add mana when they die or enter of course, and sad robot is one of the best draws in the mid-game. Overall, this way allows for a lot more shenanigans as you aren't so reliant on having a lot of boardwipes.
Omg that bennie bracks deck! I made a Mondrak deck that does it similarly with seance and dollhouse of horrors, god pharao gift etc. Went nuts and won a game when I imprinted a coveted jewel with prototype portal so I would draw six cards each turn for 0. Probably my favorit deck at the moment.
Big fan of the Dennick deck. I feel like everyone is always looking for fast, splashy commanders which is likely why he wasn’t that popular, but this guy is a solid value engine. And the Thran Turbine inclusion is really nice to draw a bunch of cards. He’s definitely underrated.
my girlfriend also has a Rayne deck!! she went through the same journey of struggling to make relevant threats to be targeted/close the game. it’s settled as an Old Border combo list that usually pops off on turn 5-6, and uses Rayne to keep the hand juiced when interacted with. :)
I love that your decks stay in the 1-2 color range. Feels like so many players these days are only interested in 4-5 color commanders that build themselves
@@CorZ1lla I think a lot of players incorrectly assume that a 3 color deck can’t be built on a budget. Between signets, talismans, ramp spells, and various types of lands that have been made accessible, it’s actually not taxing on the wallet. I primarily blame content creators for this viewpoint that 3 color decks need shocks and fetches to have a functioning 3 color deck. I had an Inalla deck that used a very budget mana base and when I finally bought the full set of shocks and on color fetches, I saw minimal improvement with how my deck played out. If you spend more than 2 min balancing your mana base with the rest of your deck (division of colors, number of cards with pips, mana curve, etc.), I think you’ll find 3 color decks aren’t as expensive as they’re made out to be.
the first deck I made for commander was a Nethroi Apex of Death deck that I just sat down didn't look anything up and created because self mill is my favorite play style and I liked heavy creature decks that had payoffs for having tones of creatures in the graveyard such as fiend artisan nilea thousand eye and spider spawning the deck goes tall and goes wide easily all you need are mana creatures and mill creatures to get it going I play the deck mostly as a Bulgarian deck but recently I have added a few more white cards into it mainly relish norn to double my etb effects. but nethroi is my favorite commander because you can be very versatile in what you put it the main downside is you miss out on blue self mill cards and creatures.
I didn't even know Leonin Elder existed until this video, that card is a shoe-in for my Burakos Part Leader / Folk Hero deck since I make a lot of treasures and Elder is a Cleric!
I don't know if you have this combo in your Iname deck or not, but there are a ton of super powerful spirits in golgari colors. My Iname is built around playing Iname, Deaths aspect, who entombs every spirit you want, straight out of the deck. This is absurdly powerful because one of the spirits, which you did mention, is gravewaker. And since you can get him in play with your commander, then sac your commander to play and 1 of the spirits you just binned (like gravewaker) is great. But another spirit you didn't mention is seedborn muse. Seedborn + gravewaker when you have every good spirit in the game in your graveyard instantly wins games. It's too much advantage. You have crypt ghast to double your mana with urborg and start draining the table. He who hungers can often discard your opponents whole hands, but more importantly, serves as a searchable sac-outlet for kokusho. Kodama in the deck is crazy. Revenant comes out as at least a 30/30 in most games. Primordial sage is good card draw.
I made a Baron von Count deck and it's one of the weirdest builds. You end up looking for a lot of strange cards to fit the 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, nuke someone to death mechanic. I think you'd have a lot of fun brewing that.
Hey Demo, really love your videos, never miss one... At the moment I'm doing a deck based on your Patron of the Kitsune, but doing some changes since I don't have all the cards and some are expensive, so I have to go slow... I'm thinking about adding Sun Droplet for triggers on each turn, Sunblade Samurai for fetching land and gain life and Moon Blessed Cleric to get certain enchantments. You think it's interesting ideas and what should I replace with. Thank you and looking forward to hear from you!
My most powerful deck is Vilis...but i would say my favourite deck is a tie between Varina and mathas (group hug). I love zombie tribal and its just a fun deck to pilot. But i also love my mathas deck which is also a bonofide group hug deck in mardu colours. Alot of giving people creatures alot of giving people things back from the graveyard.
I had the same mindset I hated playing against blue so I made a Llawan, Cephalid Empress deck and made it janky by changing the color words on cards like Sleight of Mind and Glamerdye and playing a lot of Swords and creatures who have a protection of a color. Together with the best spells like Sea Kings' Blessing and Sway of Illusion.
I love your Dennick build very much, I ended up building myself with a line of fetching Rise and Shine (usually with spellseeker) being a really nice closer that nobody ever sees coming! Love Aven I’m going to try that out along with Grand Architect
Hey, I have Gift of Doom in my Horobi deck! One of the only ways to actually protect him. (since it doesn't target him if it goes from morph to aura). Super unique card.
Your Aboshan deck sounds sweet! I play some of those cards in my Derevi go wide deck and I think I will look into more of a tap untap theme with copy effects than the plain X spells deck I have now
Light from Within might be a good fit in your Dennick deck if a lot of your creatures are white. Just an anthem, but two white pips on a creature instantly makes it waaaay stronger than it originally was. People see anthems and think "Meh, it's only a +1/+1," but this one is surprisingly stronger than that. At worst, it's a good bait card to draw out some removal or a counterspell that could likely be put to better use.
I have a Multani, Yavimaya's Avatar deck that resembles your Shanna deck. Traverse the Outlands and Scapeshift can double his power and get something like 40 cards off of Greater Good. I rarely attack and mostly keep it as a political piece. If you wanted another option for a Momentous Fall style deck.
Your Dragon Lord Dromoka deck is almost exactly like a deck I have. Except in mine I only focus on using painter effects and hate on black. The other thing is I use Karador as a commander to recur my painter if someone kills it.
I was thinking of your sisay deck, i actually have deck somewhat similar, in the fact that i use all the power maters cards, is kresh the bloodbraided, i run creatures with a lot of power but die in a way or another and use them to power up kresh and take advantage of that, also jund gives a lot of cards like mask of griselbrand, disiple of bolas, shadowheart or jarad golgari lichlord
Play alilibou ancient witness for boros artifact matter. Love the deck, I don't always win but I love the fact that I can get value from cheap artifacts that enter tapped
My favorite deck is Titania Voice of Gaea deck. It is just a ramp lands matter deck. It sac fetches to get the 4 requirements. For Titania to meld in Titania Gaea Incarnate. Also have to get more lands in the grave: elvish reclaimer,Sylvan Safekeeper, Sylvan Scrying Than Crop Rotation and scapeshift double as tutors. Than you got thing that let you play more lands every turn basic ramp it is a big ramp deck it is crazy fun cause you rep so fast you boys get huge I have game where titania Gaea Incarnate is a 100+/100+ with vigilante reach trample haste and should/hexproof because all my guys are lands and you have like Awaken the woods to get a bunch of 1/1 dryad land boys and Ashaya, Soul of the Wild to turn all the other stuff into lands. It is just really fun

Instead of Shanna, try Mr.Orfeo the Boulder. More expensive yes, more explosive yes. With him you are in red so you have fling/thud effects to one shot opponents plus still have green for greater good type cards as well. Lots of double damage cards in red as well.
on the topic of Shanna: it's a really cool idea but you could maybe make it more interesting again if you added direct damage as an alternative to combat damage with tokens with Freyalise Supplicant on Tishana: I have a Kaseto deck that plays both Coiling Oracle and Mystic snake. and I really need to get that Summoner's Pact in my deck, that's super sweet! I think net-decking definitely plays into a count in how much you like to play certain decks. cuz if you build them yourself you can play more of your pet cards and nostalgia cards
Awsome video, I’m interested in how the deathtouch boardwipe works, surely if questing beast has 4 power, it could only assign 4 damage among those creatures (1 damage to 4 creatures) rather than wiping all the creatures that block it?
I threw Kinzu into my Kethek deck when i first put it together. after several games i found myself tutoring for it late game because that effect along with Kethek is so broken lol
Hi, nice video. One thing I noticed, the #6 commander does not have it's own chapter on the timeline (it is currently part of the One Deck chapter) :) Also, From the Kinzu chapter onward, there are no other chapters for the rest of the commanders.

You could put your gerrard deck into a mishra, eminent one as he is a artifact deck that also loves artifact etb/ltb‘s For me its my high Power deck as it can play into many artifact combos and gives me value with coverted jewel

No, deathtouch destroys creatures because deathtouch is “any nonzero amount of damage is lethal”. Artifacts and enchantments do not be destroyed by damage, and do not have power or toughness
Yo demo, always love your videos man! Not super on topic, but I was wondering what your thoughts are on oathbreaker as a format, considering it's officially recognized by wizards now?
I knew I shouldn't have clicked on this video... I have 4 Azorious decks right now and I've been wondering how your Dennik deck played. I think you've sold me on number 5 😅 (yes I'm aware I have a problem)
I think most mono or even dual color decks are inherently boring... i basically have 1 mono, 1 two color, all shards and wedges + an extra grixis, four 4 color decks, and two 5 color decks.
I'm just one guy, but I don't really find these types of ranking videos very interesting or entertaining. Just my two cents. Let your metrics be your guide.
To anyone considering becoming a patron: do it! It’s a lot of fun! It’s a great community and we have great games!
How does his Deck Doctor process work? I've considered joining to have him take a look at a few decks of mine

I have a mono colored deck for each color except blue and Rayne might just be my first. Sounds very fun.
Edit: Okay Aboshan it is 😂
with brallin, you could at least use shibraz and include fierce guardianship in your deck. especially if you have tibalts trickery
You could run Unctus grand metatect in your favorite deck
Alright, man. How did you come up with the little intro theme song that plays on each of your videos? I'm interested in its origin.
Yo demo, always love your videos man! Not super on topic, but I was wondering what your thoughts are on oathbreaker as a format, considering it's officially recognized by wizards now?
Just to let you know in case someone else hasn’t commented, there’s no time stamp for Dromoka. No big deal, but just wanted to point it out
do you have your decklists somewhere?
Add an Ominous Seas to your Rayne deck. Gives you 8/8 Krakens to close out the game sooner.
I knew I shouldn't have clicked on this video... I have 4 Azorious decks right now and I've been wondering how your Dennik deck played. I think you've sold me on number 5 😅 (yes I'm aware I have a problem)
Queen Allenal of Rundach is sooo good.
Loved the vid - I'm building a Rhoda/Timin deck and there's a ton of overlap with Aboshan
“All will be one” in brallin deck?
Nature's Wrath for your Dramoka deck could be rather potent - proceed with caution however, it is far more abusive than Karma
Love your videos Demo. This is off topic, but do you play any instruments, I love parkway drive. Cheers!
i play guitar
@@edhdeckbuilding I do as well, that’s awesome. Love your vids dude!!!
Wouldn't Dennick have to die first to cast him for disturb?
correct. i didn't cover that in the video but i do have lots of sac outlets in the deck as well.
Decklists?
It would take me a week to rank and showcase my 87 (almost 88) decks
I think most mono or even dual color decks are inherently boring... i basically have 1 mono, 1 two color, all shards and wedges + an extra grixis, four 4 color decks, and two 5 color decks.
I don't understand how you win your mono blue draw deck
I like that the numbers for the deck ranks are all lesbian pride colored lol
It’s pronounced ee na me
Not i-name
I'm just one guy, but I don't really find these types of ranking videos very interesting or entertaining. Just my two cents. Let your metrics be your guide.
You're still mispronouncing Iname.
