People are complaining Tommy added too much. You need to understand that Andy probably plays this song quite often with out Tommy there. This was something new that will never be played again in such a way unlike Andy's original version that will be played again more than a handful of times by himself! Dig it!

I agree with you that he did overdo it quite a bit. Some see Tommy as a showoff. But he likes to entertain people. Andy Mckee on the other hand likes to write good music. I actually prefer Mckee's music over tommys even though tommy is much more technical with his playing. Guitar isnt competitive anyway. I like to be connected with the music.
Tommy was a nice touch while he was just adding some chill melodies, but he got way too carried away. At first he was backing ebon's coast melody which was nice, but then he made ebon coast back his own melody.... he needs to calmmmm downnn lol

Tommy actually claimed he finds it hard to play with people like Andy Mckee and Don ross because they have the groove, but no melody. Melody is the most important thing to tommy. Whether the song lacks melody is up to you to decide. Like I said man, Tommy likes to a show off. I think hes better playing on his own.

In real life. He is extremely humble, very generous and is always good. He has an awesome personality and it's always a pleasure around him. He is an amazing entertainer and when solo, he can really get the crowd going and is fun to watch. He is very talented. However in this video, Tommy was a little, too flashy for three people at once.

Tommy is one of my favorite players and he is the boss on guitar but i agree with tomo this is an incredible and unique version and they're all fantastic players..this song with tommy's amazing lead gave it a whole new feel and with Sungha backing andy up it was complete!! AWESOME!!

As much as I admire Tommy's talent and hard work, I think he took this a little too far and ended up taking over the song. However, it was AMAZING!
