ReactOS... Система на базе WinNT 5.2... Тоже ядро используется в Windows Server 2003! Но дизайн похож на Windows 95 - ME! Очень похожи, как 2 брата
Но есть и различия в них, а какие именно узнаете здесь

В Windows XP решили проблему оперативной памяти расширением адресов обращения , что позволяет использовать более 3,5 Гб ОЗУ.
Внести поддержку аппаратной виртуализации при поддержке её процессором .
Более того для некоторых программ нужен Bash , как и network с directX10 и новее .
NTFS и запуск с данных разделов как краеугольный камень , FAT32 для больших файлов не подходит и несёт много ошибок при таком случае.
