Hi! I've just been sent this Video and it's really cool to watch people playing the mod (especially after how long this update took to make)- Thank you very much for showing it off!
I hope you had fun playing it :D
I'll try answering some questions that came up throughout the video:
I don't want to put sounds, music or any Assets from the Original into the mod. Not just because of copyright stuff or whatever, but also my own morals. I do have something planned for music, unfortunately I can't really say what or how long it will take yet- Music should be added to levels in a smaller patch once that's done though.
The Enemies not despawning after death is a pretty annoying bug that will be fixed in a hotfix that should release within the next couple of days.
Explosions currently do much more damage than they should, that will also be fixed in the same hotfix.
The Limbo skybox rendering issue is caused by some other rendering mod- I assume iris ? at the point of writing this I haven't looked into it yet, but usually iris messes up my rendering stuff. I'm also aware of some rendering issues caused by the Journeymap mod (mainly the style panel text getting messed up)
Secrets are planned for another small patch, which will add soul orbs to all existing levels and one secret level for both current layers (and another thing that I won't say yet)
Overpump dodging is disabled by default for PvP balance reasons. It can be enabled in the server//world config though; to access that more easily, use the command `/ultracraft config`
17:26 that confused me for a sec as well- since the swordsmachine sword is a two handed weapon, better combat seems to interfere with the offhand. Didn't know that until now
Some of the Level unlock triggers seem to be too small, so you moved through them before they could detect you- that'll be fixed in the hotfix as well
Chargebacking is in the mod, it's just a bit difficult to perform
23:10 hi :D yea, any melee weapon is pretty overpowered against the ultracraft enemies unfortunately- Trying to come up with a good way to counter that is really difficult tho unfortunately...
24:30 after the hotfix that pedestal gets removed after obtaining the nailgun to reduce confusion- sorry about that lol
You need harpoons as ammo for the repulsive skewer to work; it's sort of designed as a slow but damaging (and well, harpoon debuff causing) whiplash because content is being added layer by layer and people *really* want whiplash (understandably)
V2 is technically in the mod, but not as good as I'd like it to be. The Boss level will be added in a smaller patch eventually
28:25 guh,, that's the worst instance of the enemies not despawning bug... but like I said, will be fixed as soon as possible. (coming back to this after pressing the slab _why did they respawn lmao_ I didn't know that can happen like that- I'll look into that)
Cybergrinds starting is delayed a bit to give other players that want to a chance to join
I opted against random mob spawning at night after trying it initially- it's basically an infinite single round cybergrind with constantly spawning enemies (a bit too chaotic to be fun imo). Instead, each night there's a chance for a Cybergrind to start at the position of a random Player in the dimension. The rounds that need to be completed and amount of enemies is based on the worlds difficulty and number of participants
The Arena Bounds colors changed based on your Style ranking. Its sort of to emulate the arena itself glowing in the original
The Overheat Nailguns crafting Recipe is bugged atm, will be fixed in the hotfix as well though

i like how, instead of being 1:1 recreations, each level's a condensed mixture of 2 with some original aspects mixed in as well.
Holy shit this is good. I'd actually really like a standalone version with just the guns, for use in regular Minecraft.
Also the sword seems busted since it uses regular Minecraft mechanics, so it crits when you're falling, and has a sweeping effect.
the regular mod IS just a standalone version with the guns. theres crafting recipes on the terminals because theyre meant to also be obtainable in survival

I’m flabbergasted, utterly amazed…
There should be Enchanted Enemies in Ultrakill, like Imagine filths enchanted with Electrified, Rush and Fire trail.
If you ever come back to it I highly recommend you try mixing more mods and datapacks with ultracraft such as ISeeGoodStuff's [Adrenaline bosses] datapack that aadds a custom minos prime, would you be willing to try things out?
Found this vid and thought it was amazing that someone made such an in depth video on ULTRACRAFT. What’s up, I’m the builder of the funny cathedral in the mod (agony and tundra structure), awesome to see someone miss the secret (at least if you didn’t, it was cut out of the vid), I’m currently waiting to get my pc fixed so I can see the mod for myself, as it broke; this vid was just the fix I needed. Every time the door locks for an Ambush/Assault, the Arch Illager should appear starting the ambush and goes away before the ambush begins, just like in Dungeons.
