Fun fact: Grant Kirkhope, the game's audio composer is the voice of the flowers who say "Thank you." He had to do this line SEVERAL times and each time Nintendo rejected it because they thought he was saying "Fuck you." So he really announced it as hard as he could to have the "Th" come through.
This was my favorite level in the game. To this day, every October, I play Mad Monster Mansions soundtrack as me and my friends drive to the local Halloween theme park.
There are 16 mumbo tokens in Mad Monste Mansion. They recently found out that if you don't get the token from the cellar (11:46), just break the barrel, but don't collect it, it pops a mumbo token inside the toilet (21:15). After collecting this one from the toilet, you can return to the basement and collect the one you left behind, thus making 16 mumbo tokens.
I'm playing through this level on my N64 at the moment:) I think this might end up being one of my fave levels. So cram packed with cool bits and pieces:)
20 mumbo skull tokens to become a pumpkin that cannot attack and made to go in very small spaces that banjo wouldn't fit in, along with Gruntilda's toilet...disgusting.
When I used to play a rented copy of this game as a kid (man, remember renting games?), I didn't get this far, I assumed the entrance to Mad Monster Mansion must be the final boss zone owing to the ominous pipe organ music and it scared me too much, haha
Why didn't you collect the cheats from Cheato? With those cheats, you can carry even more supplies that way. 200 Blue Eggs, 20 Gold Feathers, and 100 Red Feathers.
You missed a Mumbo Token so you might need to redo this video at least and maybe walkthrough at some point of showing you open the barrel in the cellar but don't collect the Mumbo Token that's inside then transform into a pumpkin get Loggo to flush you down the toilet collect the Mumbo Token on your right in the next room THEN go back to the cellar to get the other Mumbo Token so at the end of the game you have 41 Tokens instead of 40. If you search Banjo-Kazooie: Collecting The Secret Mumbo Token In Mad Monster Mansion you will see SM64Guy getting the Token.
Thanks for checking out this video, please check out my channel for some No Damage N64 Games
Good video bro

You know you just did something disgusting when Gruntilda of all people tells you to wash your hands.
kinda rich coming from a woman that washes her hair with
Mad Monster Mansion - my fav level tied with Click Clock Wood.

Can you still get the 21:15 token after you got the one from 11:46, because I had gotten the one from 11:46 without knowing abt this 16th one
Ah, this brings back such nostalgia... I need to play this game again!
This stage reminded me of the I Spy Haunted House book from my childhood.
I spy spooky night love that book my grandma threw it and my collectors edition ocarina of time away because she claimed that they were evil
#1 reason Nintendo should have bought Rare is this.
Andrew Boyd alas, Microsoft owns Rare Ltd which incurs that Nintendo won't be able to do anymore collaboration projects such as this.
@@LordRumshi ummm they let banjo and kazooie into smash
@@blairence Yes I know that, though doesn't mean that Nintendo will be able to create another Banjo Kazooie game with Rare.

it sounds like their saying "fuck youu" xD
I like the background music for this level.
Thanks for these videos. Great walk down memory lane.

7:45 fuuuuck youuuuu
ツShavoAnimaciones I died when I heard that!!!!🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Bro I played this game for years.... wtf?! Lol it says fuckkk you haha
It's pretty amazing that the promotional VHS made this game sound scarier than it actually was. Even 5 year old me wouldn't be scared by this.
21:28 Just Gruntilda talking about higienic things.
Dude, I was so lost at this level.
I WANT TO HEAR BRENTILDA DAMMIT
When I used to play a rented copy of this game as a kid (man, remember renting games?), I didn't get this far, I assumed the entrance to Mad Monster Mansion must be the final boss zone owing to the ominous pipe organ music and it scared me too much, haha
The maze freaked me out as a kid.
This game was a part of my chillhood i remember myself as a kid spending hours playing it 😊
7:43 fuck you? Anyone xD
When I was a kid I swore he said 'fuck you', and it still sounds like it to me.
infancia revivida :')
1:12 i wonder what instrument makes that sound (in the music)
If you're thinkin' 'bout the melody the instrument is called the bassoon. And the jingle sounds
ya hear is called the xylophone.
@@KekwGuy ok so the bassoon is related to the saxophone since a my singing monsters monster named blasoom plays the saxophone (i think)
Thanks you 7:45
Thank you pt.2
watching this on october 2023
Wine Barrels in the Cellar
Est. 1881 "The Atic Atac Brewery"
(get the reference?)
What a game!
Also, i'm pretty sure you forgot one ikapoka in the maze
You meant the Mumbo token right? 😂
it toke me a long time to find the green jinjo
that was easy to go in that mansion there was no traps like when they start shooting arrows or any traps
This was a while ago but it's still bothering me that you're missing ONE jiggie from the Gruntilda design on the floor where the eyes popped out.
@zorzelda how do you raise the water level to get to rusty bucket bay? I played this forever ago and can't remember haha
AC DC did

@1182058876 Hey, I used Project 64 1.7 emulator with Glide Napalm WX Graphics plugin.

How do you raise the water up
Dark Mephisto- X
Well, in the Mad Monster Mansion lobby, there's a crypt down the hill, past the level entrance where you can do it.
@@zillydinohow do I get the gate open? I 100% mansion
@@nevinrobinson8151 Which gate?

Halloween 2022
Cheeseburger
anyone know where in the video he raises the water for bounty bay or whatever its called XD
I think that's over by the entrance to Clankers Cavern
He's talking about rusty bucket's Bay and it's not in this video it's in rusty bucket's one
as far as I know youtube only supports 30fps, but yeah, that probably caused the audio to go out of sync o.Ô
13:59 bro how the fuck did you defeat him
i think it,s saying thank you and not fuck you
