It is a really nice cruising interior. I'd keep some sail at home when not racing and make the kids sleep forward.. They can spill shit and nothing to worry about. LOL.
The emergency tiller is a short stubby aluminum tiller that you steer by running lines through the rear genoa tac points to the forsail winches. No need to remove anything
Hi, loving the flow in these video's, I saw them ALL. Learning so much about yacht brands I didn't know about. Are there more European boat brands lying in San Diego ? I was wondering: Archambault, X-yachts, JPK, Janneau, Corby, Swann, Mills, Ker, Bene First, Pogo,... Would love to see Scot dealing with some European boats.
That's an awesome boat, even powered down those big J's are sweet. The clean hull shape makes for manageable handling and tracking. It needs a staysail set up for cruising. I guess there must be some in Europe.
The J145 is a nice boat, although it cannot decide if it is a racer or cruiser, but why 48 feet? Why not 50 feet, then 60 then 70. I hand it to the TP50 owners as they know what they are!!!!
@@rustyheyman1521 ha not according to the analytics. Not a roll over and ask "how was it for you" situation. Glad you like the intro honestly we really like it too. We'll have an update soon
The Browns hat is fine we just need to teach scott how to wear his hat like an adult and properly bend the rim to avoid looking like a 15 and a half year old skater kid wannabe...
(Apologies for my English, my language is castelain) I enjoy your videos; your presentations are vigorous and you teach many people around the world to love boats and sailing, but i am disappointed of your expression about weed. I don't judge anyone who likes it, but maybe many young people can confuse nautical life with drugs or alcohol. I like all your videos, anyway. Regards.
hey mate, weed is legal here in California. We did not over indulge on that story either. Apologies if we offended you it's just a short story. Glad you enjoy the show

Ain't that a bitch? J/Boats builds the perfect boat and then they don't make many of them. What happened, I wonder? Dot-com bubble burst? The Great Recession? Overspendy?
Holy Shit! That could be the ultimate "live slow sail fast" cruising boat I have ever seen. You are killing it with these retro boat reviews.
I love these videos Scott. They informative, fast paced and entertaining - Thank you 😊👍
love it, jeff!
Scot! We miss these videos! Hoping you can get back on soon. Would love to see you do a Santa Cruz 52. ⛵️
The J160 next to it is amazing in heavy weather. We raced one for a few years when they were new. Loved it! Kativa
You’re the most real boat guy I’ve seen do a video, keep them coming. That was awesome.
Scott’s fits are unmatched. I don’t know if they are good or bad but I love them.
what fit?
(out)fit
Great series. Thanks Scott and SA.
TY for sharing this GREAT vessel and nice review!
Wow, I would have expected it to be pretty empty down there, but it looks great inside. Another great video.

not a lot, but we are always looking!
The turbo racer version of our J46! Love it!! Nice camera work.

Still my dreamboat. Even with the turnbuckles.
"A shrimp like me" :D NICE!
Another homerun Scot!
thank you brother!

awesome video, you should do this for a living. thanks for your enthusiasm, don't change anything.
05:11 "You just don't see them anymore" I do. How should they look today?
oof I've spent too much time on a 105.. thought that was normal
So it's kinda a slightly bigger J44 with a retractable sprit? Pretty cool, I dig it
“Drops a deuce...” 😂

As far as the cruising part, that cockpit layout is more like bugger the ergonomics...
Olson 29 or 30 please

@@rustyheyman1521 what is blue star?
Old intro was so much better
how many times are you going to say that? and i was thinking about changing it back, but now? nope.
We’re working on a revised intro. Takes time so this is the interim intro. We were getting a lot of comments that the intro was too long.
