When Breau played Georgia that blew my mind and he used a lot of those cords too I was reading that he did study piano a lot, and he wanted to try to get that seventh note in the bass sound
excellent presentation! Adam! Lenny is one of my favorite guitarists but I can never figure out why his chords sound so exotic. Thanks for helping to make that clear.
Very good and important advices here, (some mistaken positions in diagrams but scores are right and you just have to look at the vid if u're not sure ).
I am not skilled enough to be here, and my musical palette isn't developed enough as well. You are pouring 300 dollar bottles of wine, and I usually stay well under 20! But I subscribed and lit up that bell ! Bring on the jazz police
Brilliant lesson ,those errors are in the chord diagrams , i spotted The G13 at around 2.04 ,Cmaj7 at 3.53 and the C maj13 at 3.42 ,couldn,t resist trying to find them after the comment , best wishes .@@JazzRockswithAdam
Shiv, thanks for leaving a comment and your suggestion. Unfortunately, I’m not the “Ted Greene kind of guy.” Of course I know about him, but I never studied his approach. So I’m not an authority enough to teach anything about it. I hope you enjoyed this video on Lenny.
Yes, the all my PDFs were originally free. But I switched to a paid model after this video was made. Since I spend 2-3 days on a PDF lesson, I can’t no longer do it for free. Thanks for watching!
Just f***ing with you. You sound great. The material is good. I just can’t afford to pay for it right now. I’ve been struggling for gigs since Covid. But, Ed Bickert and Lenny are two of my favorites. The Ed Bickert chords are a little tough for me. I have small hands. Anyway, keep up the good work. J.G.

He sure was something, indeed!
that's the most beautiful sounding guitar i ever heard, it's just so gentle and sweet, love your playing too
Thanks Mathias!
Your lessons make me smale.
Ha!! Thanks.
Great stuff! Thanks brother!!
Thanks James!

Absolutely! Thanks for watching and sticking around to leave a comment.
Thank you Adam!
Shelby, thanks bro!
Great video! I wish I could see the fretboard straight up though...
Thanks for watching. Yeah, I do an angle more looking down than up nowadays so it’s easier to see. All part of the learning process on my end.
Excellent video, very well explained. Thank you!
Thanks for watching! I’m glad you liked the video lesson. See you around.
Great information!
Thanks Mongo Harry!
This is excellent Adam! I imagine you do this one the seven string with even more complexity or an extra octave .
Exactly! Just had to keep it 6-string friendly. Thanks for watching!
... it wouldn’t be a whole octave. At most a 4th.
Sure you gain a forth What was I thinking lol And you picked Giant Steps fir a song example. Wow
@@chriswelsh7146 Go big or go home! HA!!
A 5th if it’s the right chord. 😉
Great stuff Adam...my problem is I can't hear 3 or 4 chords without turning them into a song...lol
@@brianharred8361 I think you just stated the next step! 😉
I’m pretty sure the PDF lesson gets you using them in a song context.
Superb!
Thank you Lawrence!
great post
Thanks for watching and leaving a comment.
Mind blown!💥
Thanks for watching! I’m glad you liked it.
great video man
Thanks my friend!
No point trying to learn. Lenny Breau was magic. If you don't know the incantations, you can't play like him.
No one can do what Lenny did on that level. But you can still learn from Lenny.
This Is amazing
Thank you! I hope you get a lot from it. Don’t be shy, come back again!
Where's that PDF?
It’s in a pinned comment and in the description section.

Very good and important advices here, (some mistaken positions in diagrams but scores are right and you just have to look at the vid if u're not sure ).
Thanks. I guess I didn’t catch those discrepancies. Is it in the chord diagrams? Or the Tab? Thanks for watching!
It’s hard sometimes putting all this stuff together when you’re literally doing everything yourself and one set of eyes.

@jmack619 I am planning to put out more videos that are more on the beginner side than intermediate in the future. Thanks for the subscribe!

I can't get the PDF link to work. Awesome video!
I can send it to you a little later if you email me. I’m not at home right now 😕

@@JazzRockswithAdam Doesn’t work for me either. Just goes to a paywall
Please make some videos on Ted Greene, his playing style and chord chemistry 👍

@@JazzRockswithAdam No problem mate Lenny is also great and this lesson was amazing 🔥
@@shiv2033 Thanks! I hope to make more on Lenny.
Are you in New York cause I'll take some lessons man?
Yes, in Brooklyn. You can get in touch with me here: www.adamsmale-jazz.com/contact/
Chords pattern sound very like Lenny
Thank you.
Dig it.
Marlon!! Thanks buddy!
So essentially play less roots and more extensions. That wraps it up
If you simplify it, yes. But how Lenny did it while soloing is the tricky part.
You say the pdf is free. All I see is paid versions. Wtf

You should fix the video so it’s not misleading. Or, maybe give me $5 a month ? I have no gigs no, but still want to learn to play better 🥸
How would one go about changing it?

You had me thinking there for a minute…
