I was watching this video with my mum who is the most qabyalist person I've ever known (I love my mum but this is one of her personal traits that I hugely dislike) she always used to tell me how we're not welcome in Mogadishu and that I should never consider taking a business or investment or knowledge basically anything useful to there. When the lady mentioned she was dulbahante, my mum automatically assumed the lady was married to a Hawiye man as apparently darod person isn't allowed to live in Muqdisho. When the lady said her children are of the Marehan clan I gave her a sight look like 'no what mum!) but she ignored. This was beautiful!!

Thanks Hodan. Your last visit encouraged me to go back to Mogadishu which I did this year for the first time. I stayed there three weeks and I really enjoyed. Inshaalah I will definitely go back. Something to note though, the employees at the airport are very corrupt.

You are so inspirational and simple person, I liked the video and I think every right minded Somali citizen likes to hear or see good stuff from his/her country. We also are aware of the problems the country and its people are suffering from. So please don't only focus on positive things but to balance the situation you have to cover negative side of the country. We sometime need to shed light on the dark areas to generate discussion on how to improve them.
