The movie, death on the Nile (2023) breaks the 180 degree rule when Poirot is interviewing Bouc. There could be other moments but that particular scene stood out to me.

I don't know who created the 180 degree rule but I never thought it was any good. I worked in Hollywood as a prop man/ do it all guy in the 80's and 90's and worked closely with the DP (Director of Photography) on many occasions on countless movies and they never used the 180 degree rule. In fact it's probably in the hundreds now that I'm home during the pandemic and it's what I do as a living now...
Yeah, it just useful to know depending on what kind of scene you're shooting.
Didn‘t expect to see an axis jump in a relatively „uncreative“ Hollywood blockbuster, but I noticed one in Star Wars Episode 3, when Anakin beheads Dooku

Yea, it’s cool how much you can learn from just watching movies and trying to figure out how they are made.
I remember this being use in some film to swap the language from (something) to English.
Kind of like when they zoom in on The mouth of the captain in Red October, and then zoom out to swap the language.
That’s sounds like a cool way to do it.

It was brilliant in the open to Inglorious Basterds, but later on in the movie (at the hour-thirty mark) it seems to be a mistake when they reveal the Major cocking and pointing his pistol from the left when he was clearly established on the right just before.
I’ll have to go back and watch that part.
