I'm from Croatia (where Baby Lasagna is from)... Baby Lasagna (Marko Purisic) is indeed devout Catholic and witnesses his faith openly. He said he goes to daily mass, prays rosary and has his theology teacher. He was literally nobody, just a kid with a dream and talent and we heard about him first time in context of Eurovision, he wasn't famous before and there is no industry/ machinery standing behind him, he's done it all by himself and by the help of God. Here in Croatia we also have several priests discussing is his song satanic (it certaintly isn't- the meaning of the song is a story of a boy who leaves everything behind and is planning to move from his village to the big city). Some priests here said that it was blessing that we didn't win because if he did, a lot of "filth" would be coming next year to our country (meaning satanists, lgbt propaganda etc.). So, we also have that debate among us. Personally, I'm sorry he didn't win, because he wouldn't hold back witnessing his faith worldwide and would shine some light on this competition that became perverted.

As an older Irish gay man and a Traditional Catholic in the U.K. who converted from Vatican II 18 years ago, I totally agree, as I have extended family in Rural Ireland who are parents of very young children - I am absolutely horrified by what parents in Ireland allow their children to do and I am blue in the face trying to warn my family members in Ireland about the danger they are putting their children in with certain things - it seems that parents here in the U.K. are much more aware of the dangers that children are exposed to and do what is required to better protect them, but Irish parents are either complacent, brainwashed or both

Padre Luke, you’ll love this. On Saturday (day of Eurovision final), I was in Derry for a HLI (Human Life International) conference. It took place in the Guild Hall in Derry. It started with Holy Mass followed by Rosary. Then John Pridmore, Dana and Mickie Harte gave us testimonies. Dana sang the song which she won Eurovision with, and she sang Our Lady of Knock (which yes, she wrote with her husband Damien). She also asked us to pray for her this week, as she is writing a song to St Brigid, who she reminded us is a Saint and not a goddess. Dana was also asked on her thoughts about this year’s Irish entrant, and she said it was important to separate the person from the song, that the woman needs our prayers and that she would pray for her. A very nice synopsis, thank you Fr.! Eurovision isn't what it used to be unfortunately. Though I have to say some things about our Baby Lasagna (Marko). He openly professes his Catholic faith. After we found out he was going to represent us at Eurovision his performance was called out by some as demonic, which he disregarded right away without ever saying a bad word about those who had called him out. Instead in many interviews he was asked what he did before performances and his answer was always "I pray". He gave his life conversion testimony for a major Croatian Catholic web site. When he was asked at Eurovision by a reporter how he is so calm he said "I have a lot of people who pray for me, that's the catch". In interviews he accentuated how at Eurovision he makes the sign of the cross before eating, which he doesn't hide and isn't ashamed of. Also, he is the author of a religious song called "Ne daj mi Oče" which translates to "Don't let me Father", you can find it on YT. I leave the translation of the song below. Speaking to some Aussies here in QLD most of us have Irish ancestors one bloke I remember regrets his ancestors converting to Catholicism from being druids I was like phew thank goodness he wasn’t! TV shows like Friends were created to normalize premarital sex for example, and they were very successful at it. I'm Irish catholic in UK and I volunteer at a protestant church drop-in. A women in her sixties started talking about this song 2 months ago, asking me in particular had I heard it. I hadn't known anything about it. She insisted that it was a 'great catchy tune' and couldn't stop telling everyone who came in. I have to say I found it odd that a woman of her years would get so carried away by a pop song. Anyway, I looked it up online and could see straight away it was satanic. The next week at the drop in she started up about it again, weirdly the atmosphere around her became intense. I told her what it was and she should not be talking about it in a church as the drop patrons don't come to hear that sort of thing. She shrugged it off saying 'it has divided opinion, but is a matter of taste'. The Minister was privy to the conversation and he took her in hand. A week ago, when I last seen her, she avoided me and appeared embarrassed. She has no religion, but I do hope the Minister efforts are fruitful. And I have prayed for her.

As a Brit here, Eurovision has always been the vehicle for ‘the agenda’, but has only really become unwatchable in the last 10 years. In the glory days in the late 1970s, it produced bands and singers like ABBA- who got their big international break by winning Eurovision. Those days are long gone. Most people in the UK pay it no heed at all. As for little miss Bambie, she could do with being given a blessed miraculous medal. Look what it did for Zachary King. I have to say that this years UK entry was utter shit. And came last. Good. Last year’s almost won. Remember Zackary Kings instructions that the music industry was run by satanists so don’t watch it.

I enroled Bambi Thug in to the Knock Friends Association the week she won in Ireland, she will be included in 2 Masses a day for a year, she and indeed Ireland needs prayers. Our family used to enjoy the Eurovision SONG contest, and I was hoping to enjoy it with the next two generations but ended up censoring some of the songs, very sad. One of the singers of a previous Irish Winner, "Rock and Roll Kids" , introduced the Irish vote by singing the opening line as a subtle reminder of what we used to proudly send to Eurovision and win. The 2024 entry was a sad representation of Ireland, but we know who will win in the end....

Watching Eurovision left me feeling horrible. Baby Lasagne was fantastic, though and should have won if thr public vote had counted more. Bambie Thug was very unpleasant, with some sexual manoeuvres with a satan-looking man. I loved Eurovision as a child but it is now a bordello. Our UK entry was embarrassing, lewd and tawdry. There was an announcement that children might be frightened watching Bambie Thug - what on Earth were the organisers thinking in allowing her to go on? A exorcism is a blessing it's a removal of what is evil with what is good. The precious blood of Jesus is good and the blood of Jesus heals. What really needs to be done is a revival of exorcistic prayers and the bishops grant authority to priests to do the rite of exorcism it shouldn't be that there is only a couple of exorcists within a diocese plus evil is getting worse. Jesus gave authority to the apostles to cast out demons.

From the UK. My family used to watch Eurovision many years ago and it was good family entertainment which was enjoyed by the majority of the UK population. It was always one of the top subjects of gossip and friendly conversation - right up there with talk about the weather! Over the past several years it became clear that there was something else going on there and year by year it was obvious. Like many other programs, it had been infiltrated by behaviour at the opposite end of what had been acceptable entertainment. I stopped watching it...along with everyone else I know. The only people watching it anymore seemed to be of the same ilk as the people who were presenting and producing it. It was those people choosing who would be entered into the contest. Demonic is the only word that comes to mind. I fear for our children.

As an Irish Catholic and as an older Irish gay man living in the U.K. 23 years myself, I would normally try to support Ireland’s entry to the Eurovision, but this year it was total cringe and totally embarrassing for me as an Irish person and my English Protestant friends feel the same way - we know that in recent years, Eurovision has become overly political, has members from outside of Europe/EU (there was still a question about the U.K. entry post-Brexit) and we know that many LGBT people have an interest in Eurovision - but the Irish entry this year was totally inappropriate for a prime time slot on TV in which young children would still be watching, including online - this entry made me so embarrassed to be Irish, it was totally disgusting

Personally I haven't watched eurovision since Dustin, the turkey, got cancelled for offending the europeans. I do remember 'all kinds of everything' sung by youthful Dana with the city of Derry in the throes of civil war. My son was watching Eurovision and was so scared when Ireland participation started playing, he hid behind my back. It was horrible that I had to stop it. Absolutely horrible show. At the end when Switzerland won she passed over her crown of witch to him; a crown with thorns - yes you read that right, and we were all saying from home: DON'T WEAR IT, DON'T WEAR IT. But he did and what happened next did not surprise me, he broke the cup and the glass cut his hand, he bleeded. God will not be mocked by no-one. I'm from Croatia (where Baby Lasagna is from)... Baby Lasagna (Marko Purisic) is indeed devout Catholic and witnesses his faith openly. He said he goes to daily mass, prays rosary and has his theology teacher. He was literally nobody, just a kid with a dream and talent and we heard about him first time in context of Eurovision, he wasn't famous before and there is no industry/ machinery standing behind him, he's done it all by himself and by the help of God. Here in Croatia we also have several priests discussing is his song satanic (it certaintly isn't- the meaning of the song is a story of a boy who leaves everything behind and is planning to move from his village to the big city). Some priests here said that it was blessing that we didn't win because if he did, a lot of "filth" would be coming next year to our country (meaning satanists, lgbt propaganda etc.). So, we also have that debate among us. Personally, I'm sorry he didn't win, because he wouldn't hold back witnessing his faith worldwide and would shine some light on this competition that became perverted.

As a mother, I’m especially worried about my children who are growing up with these attacks from the media, lgbt pride stuff infiltrating everything and I'm now learning about witches making music too! When I explain about spirituality and spiritual warfare and how I’m trying to protect them by not letting my younger one watch certain things and strongly advising my almost 20 year old against certain music etc. they look at me like I'm crazy, including my husband! It makes me feel so powerless and sad.

As an older Irish gay man and a Traditional Catholic in the U.K. who converted from Vatican II 18 years ago, I totally agree, as I have extended family in Rural Ireland who are parents of very young children - I am absolutely horrified by what parents in Ireland allow their children to do and I am blue in the face trying to warn my family members in Ireland about the danger they are putting their children in with certain things - it seems that parents here in the U.K. are much more aware of the dangers that children are exposed to and do what is required to better protect them, but Irish parents are either complacent, brainwashed or both

On Saturday (day of Eurovision final), I was in Derry for a HLI (Human Life International) conference. It took place in the Guild Hall in Derry. It started with Holy Mass followed by Rosary. Then John Pridmore, Dana and Mickie Harte gave us testimonies.
Dana sang the song which she won Eurovision with, and she sang Our Lady of Knock (which yes, she wrote with her husband Damien). She also asked us to pray for her this week, as she is writing a song to St Brigid, who she reminded us is a Saint and not a goddess.
Dana was also asked on her thoughts about this year’s Irish entrant, and she said it was important to separate the person from the song, that the woman needs our prayers and that she would pray for her. Prayers for Dana, HLI, Hogar de la Madre and Ireland (and Spain and the world..!) 😁

A very nice synopsis, thank you Fr.! Eurovision isn't what it used to be unfortunately. Though I have to say some things about our Baby Lasagna (Marko). He openly professes his Catholic faith. After we found out he was going to represent us at Eurovision his performance was called out by some as demonic, which he disregarded right away without ever saying a bad word about those who had called him out. Instead in many interviews he was asked what he did before performances and his answer was always "I pray". He gave his life conversion testimony for a major Croatian Catholic web site. When he was asked at Eurovision by a reporter how he is so calm he said "I have a lot of people who pray for me, that's the catch". In interviews he accentuated how at Eurovision he makes the sign of the cross before eating, which he doesn't hide and isn't ashamed of. Also, he is the author of a religious song called "Ne daj mi Oče" which translates to "Don't let me Father", you can find it on YT. I leave the translation of the song below. Speaking to some Aussies here in QLD most of us have Irish ancestors one bloke I remember regrets his ancestors converting to Catholicism from being druids I was like phew thank goodness he wasn’t! The more I say the more strength nd protection I feel I have and the more he goes mad. I'm Irish catholic in UK and I volunteer at a protestant church drop-in. A women in her sixties started talking about this song 2 months ago, asking me in particular had I heard it. I hadn't known anything about it. She insisted that it was a 'great catchy tune' and couldn't stop telling everyone who came in.
I have to say I found it odd that a woman of her years would get so carried away by a pop song. Anyway, I looked it up online and could see straight away it was satanic. The next week at the drop in she started up about it again, weirdly the atmosphere around her became intense.
I told her what it was and she should not be talking about it in a church as the drop patrons don't come to hear that sort of thing. She shrugged it off saying 'it has divided opinion, but is a matter of taste'. The Minister was privy to the conversation and he took her in hand. A week ago, when I last seen her, she avoided me and appeared embarrassed.
She has no religion, but I do hope the Minister efforts are fruitful.
And I have prayed for her.

As a Brit here, Eurovision has always been the vehicle for ‘the agenda’, but has only really become unwatchable in the last 10 years. In the glory days in the late 1970s, it produced bands and singers like ABBA- who got their big international break by winning Eurovision. Those days are long gone. Most people in the UK pay it no heed at all. As for little miss Bambie, she could do with being given a blessed miraculous medal. Look what it did for Zachary King. I have to say that this years UK entry was utter shit. And came last. Good. Last year’s almost won. Remember Zackary Kings instructions that the music industry was run by satanists so don’t watch it.

I enroled Bambi Thug in to the Knock Friends Association the week she won in Ireland, she will be included in 2 Masses a day for a year, she and indeed Ireland needs prayers. Our family used to enjoy the Eurovision SONG contest, and I was hoping to enjoy it with the next two generations but ended up censoring some of the songs, very sad. One of the singers of a previous Irish Winner, "Rock and Roll Kids" , introduced the Irish vote by singing the opening line as a subtle reminder of what we used to proudly send to Eurovision and win. The 2024 entry was a sad representation of Ireland, but we know who will win in the end....

Watching Eurovision left me feeling horrible. Baby Lasagne was fantastic, though and should have won if thr public vote had counted more. Bambie Thug was very unpleasant, with some sexual manoeuvres with a satan-looking man. I loved Eurovision as a child but it is now a bordello. Our UK entry was embarrassing, lewd and tawdry. There was an announcement that children might be frightened watching Bambie Thug - what on Earth were the organisers thinking in allowing her to go on? Giving coverage to someone like that simply shouldn’t be allowed.

A exorcism is a blessing it's a removal of what is evil with what is good. The precious blood of Jesus is good and the blood of Jesus heals.
What really needs to be done is a revival of exorcistic prayers and the bishops grant authority to priests to do the rite of exorcism it shouldn't be that there is only a couple of exorcists within a diocese plus evil is getting worse. Jesus gave authority to the apostles to cast out demons.

Thank you for putting this on because I watched Eurovision with my family and our children were scared at that witch performance (the presenter actually pre-warned the audience it might scare young children). I fully agree with you and I can tell you this is the last time we will be watching Eurovision as it’s not just that performance but many others that were completely against our faith. I’m ashamed I let my children watch it. It was always a family event when we were young. It’s absolutely awful now. Thank you again for posting this.

From the UK. My family used to watch Eurovision many years ago and it was good family entertainment which was enjoyed by the majority of the UK population. It was always one of the top subjects of gossip and friendly conversation - right up there with talk about the weather! Over the past several years it became clear that there was something else going on there and year by year it was obvious. Like many other programs, it had been infiltrated by behaviour at the opposite end of what had been acceptable entertainment. I stopped watching it...along with everyone else I know. The only people watching it anymore seemed to be of the same ilk as the people who were presenting and producing it. It was those people choosing who would be entered into the contest. Demonic is the only word that comes to mind. I fear for our children.

As an Irish Catholic and as an older Irish gay man living in the U.K. 23 years myself, I would normally try to support Ireland’s entry to the Eurovision, but this year it was total cringe and totally embarrassing for me as an Irish person and my English Protestant friends feel the same way - we know that in recent years, Eurovision has become overly political, has members from outside of Europe/EU (there was still a question about the U.K. entry post-Brexit) and we know that many LGBT people have an interest in Eurovision - but the Irish entry this year was totally inappropriate for a prime time slot on TV in which young children would still be watching, including online - this entry made me so embarrassed to be Irish, it was totally disgusting

Personally I haven't watched eurovision since Dustin, the turkey, got cancelled for offending the europeans. I do remember 'all kinds of everything' sung by youthful Dana with the city of Derry in the throes of civil war. On a serious note your comments on functional disharmony are very relevant in every household and in the Church at large.

I'm an ex-Romanist baptised into True Orthodoxy in 1994. I know one of the relevant authors Vladimir Moss well and I know he's read all that and more. England was Orthodox before 1066. Archbishop Stigand of Canterbury went out of communion with Rome in 1052. In a somewhat but not entirely separate dispute (reforms including wanting to get rid of clerical celibacy, and also unleavened bread are amongst the issues in addition to papal supremacy) the Apostolic see of Santiago de Compostela (see Father Andrew Philips: Orthodoxy and the Portuguese Tradition), and the rest of Galicia went out of communion with Rome in 1049, remaining so in some areas until 1066 (and even until 1073 in the Coimbra area which went into revolt soon after its conquest by the County of Portugal in 1064).
England, the rest of the British isles, and parts of Iberia (on both sides of the Moorish lines) thus remained in communion with four of the five ancient patriarchates of the Pentarchy established when they were all part of the Roman Empire under Constantine the Great: Constantinople; Antioch; Alexandria and Jerusalem.
In terms of Rome itself and the Patriarchate of the West, a battle was going on between the traditionalists and the "reformers" (with their innovations as previously listed: Roman papal supremacism; the Filioque; clerical celibacy; and unleavened bread), leading to the elections of several rival popes of Rome. The traditionalist claimants remained in communion with the 4 Eastern and Southern (Alexandria (and Africa) Patriarchates. And it was from one of these, Benedict X, that Stigand obtained his pallium of office in 1058.
In terms of the Great East-West Schism of 1054, it's a 4-1 split, in favour of the East.
It's clearly the Roman Papacy of 1054, the Patriarchate of the West, which split off from the other 4 Patriarchates of the Pentarchy, innovating its way into ever more heresies.
The solution will be the repentance of the West and its return to TRUE Orthodox Christianity as the remaining parts of the 24-part (parts 1-12, including Revolution in India and expulsion of the English fulfilled already) Anonymous Prophecy of Mount Athos of 1053, thus ending the Great East-West Schism amidst rejoicing!
Of course, joining oneself to the only True Church is essential for salvation.

My son was watching Eurovision and was so scared when Ireland participation started playing, he hid behind my back. It was horrible that I had to stop it. Absolutely horrible show. At the end when Switzerland won she passed over her crown of witch to him; a crown with thorns - yes you read that right, and we were all saying from home: DON'T WEAR IT, DON'T WEAR IT. But he did and what happened next did not surprise me, he broke the cup and the glass cut his hand, he bleeded. God will not be mocked by no-one. I only pray that He will have mercy on us all, us who love Him and those who are lost out of ignorance not out of intention.

Greetings to father and brothers: I am a fan of Eurovision and it really is a contest for fun. Unfortunately this year Ireland's participation seemed nothing more than a diabolical ritual. I don't understand how an eminently Catholic country allowed a presentation like that. I personally was going to Croatia which came in second place.
