I remember immediately clocking that Reiner looked a lot like the armored titan and once we found out about Annie I immediately thought he was a titan shifter too. Bert caught me by surprise tho
I know people say it as a meme but this actually has to be one of the Top 10 Anime Betrayals of all time. I remember watching this for the first time and my face going numb 😭
I second your statement about this scene, beacuse i have same statament, same in scene where armin turn into collossal titan, for me its not a meme, beacuse is really cool scene, its on my top 1 Anime Betrayals
My wife read the manga as teenager before watching the anime. She told me she cried when this happened, because this was so unexpected and she felt like she was betrayed as well.
The one show has arguably 3 of the all time greatest plots twists of all time. - Reiner and Berthold's betrayal - Humanities existence beyond the walls - Future Eren manipluating the events of the show since before the first season This show will stand as one of the GOATs for a VERY long time. Not even sure if I'll ever find another show that surpasses it for the rest of my lifetime.
you had to be there! it was till the very last moment that we had NO CLUE even when all the clues where there! they face structures and shape were even the same! GOOSEBUMPS!
Seeing season 4. Magath is absolutely right. They really shouldn't have send children to retrieve the Founding Titan. This reveal is the solid proof of that.
most absurd thing is how mikasa didnt cut reiners arms and body katana is sharpest thing you can cut titans but reiner holding with hands wtf is that ?
Not until he punched the Smiling Titan, they just knew he was one of the 9. Marley hadn't seen the Attack Titan in a century so they didn't know a lot about it iirc
They only captured him because Marley lost track of the owner of attack titan, aside from information they will finally be able to complete the 9. They don't know he has the founding.
@@vividbiomass620More accurately, there exists a version of Eren that didn't know, the very first that followed the story of AOT up until activating the Founding Titan's powers. But as soon as he does that it becomes an endless loop of peering through time and doing it all over again with the knowledge. It's very likely that he knew. Also fuck time peering, Isayama dropped the ball on his own goddamn foot with that forsaken twist.
@@markopusic8258 regardless of if eren knew starting from some point of the future, that knowledge doesnt reach to this scene. The way Reiner and Bertholdt have the exact facial structure as their titans and this scene still had me so shook.
All titans change accordingly to their owners body, just like female titan has a similar face as Annie

It's time to rewatch Attack on Titan
was literally thinking this,
LETS BEGIN REWATCH 21
The music is what gets to my feels the most...

Mikasa was always on timing for the ops😂
I’m gonna miss this artstyle forever and whenever I come back here it makes me miss it ever more
For 10 years, Now I know how Eren felt. 😢
Those days when armor titan looked so OP.

This for me, is still the best reveal scene in anime of all time. The sudden plot twist, the background music, the tension, it's just too perfect.
Armin was was on them kid is no joke like his character so much and the whole AOT is just great.
top 3 dramatic scenes of all times.
1 - This
2 - gon rage on pitou when he says "i dont care if is the end"
3 - i dont know
Just the best scene ever created
3:06 & 3:07, you can see the little Easter egg when they transform of their titans.
What about the Easter egg in the puddle at :56, Eren’s founding titan transformation. Future Eren was there at that moment

@@AlphaTechN in the puddle you can see shadows that look like Erins ribs when transforming into the founding titan
@@CounterRyuIt’s most likely not even meant to be a foreshadowing. It’s just ripples
What easter egg?
I'm sure that adult Eren appeared at that moment and whispered to Reiner, tell Eren that you are the Armored Titan and Bertholdt the colossal.
that's not how that works, the memory transfer thing only happens between users of the attack titan, not any shifters
@@Aexils so eren traveled to this time to see part of his own past and approached Reiner to convince him to tell the truth. That's what I think.
No lie the 1-2 seasons where the best not saying the third wasn’t but they were the best because we didn’t even know what was going on
Best plot twist than Cricket World cup semi Final 2019.
I remember watching this scene for the first time. My hair stood up and I feel nervous
I still have trust issues until this day.

Did they know at this time that Eren had the Founding Titan?
Not only did they know that he had the attack 😅
They weren't entirely sure he was the founding titan but they might've had suspicions. They knew for sure after eren touched the smiling titan.
