I am an Iraqi Arab. My great-grandfather, whom my father named me after (Abdullah), served in the Ottoman army. He first served in the Balkans, and after the Second Balkan War he received an injury in his right leg. He was a truly committed, patriotic, religious, and cultured man, even though he did not receive adequate education. He returned and participated in World War I when he heard that the British had landed their forces on the beaches of Basra. He volunteered again in the Ottoman army, but they rejected him because of his injury, as he was limping severely. Then he joined the irregular Arab tribal forces. He was martyred in the Battle of the Siege of Kut. At that time, he had two sons and two daughters. One of them was my grandfather, who was only one year old when the Ottoman Empire entered the war. This is what my great-grandmother told my father when he was young, and she was in her eighties. Edit comment: Thank you all, guys, for your kind words. Although I did not publish this comment for the sake of likes or interaction, I published it to highlight the hundreds of thousands of Arabs like my grandfather who loyally served the Ottoman Caliphate. It is true that Sharif Hussein and his followers are Arabs and that he will remain a disgrace to us until On the Day of Resurrection, but generalizing what he did to all of us is not correct either

It was due to Katerina's interference in Polish affairs. However, when the Ottoman Empire lost this war, various regions of Poland were shared between Russia, Austria and Prussia in 1772. In 1793, Russia and Prussia shared the remaining regions of Poland between them for the second time. After this sharing, a very small part of Poland remained independent. In 1795, Russia, Prussia and Austria made an agreement and decided to completely eliminate Poland. After this process was completed, Poland was erased from the map of Europe. Throughout the 18th century, Poles lived under the rule of Russia, Germany and Austria. The Ottomans were never satisfied with this situation. They became one of the rare countries that extended a helping hand to Poles who lost their independence (See: Türkiye-Poland relations). They supported independence movements in Poland and welcomed Polish immigrants. In fact, a village called Polonezköy was established for Poles near Istanbul.

@@Casper14700did you? Where do you get this information?
@@Showastatism4life Yeah, this is a known fact overall, let me cite you sources wait a bit
@@Showastatism4life The Ottoman Empire was one of the countries that opposed the disintegration of Poland. Even during the 1768-1774 Ottoman-Russian War, the Russian Tsarina II.
