Ralph Morley Vs Jeremy Paxman.

- Опубліковано 4 жов 2024
- From January 13th 2014's University Challenge. Trinity College Cambridge took on Manchester University and Trinity's captain seems to find the questions a little on the easy side.
I don't own any rights to the show.
He looks like a white Delli Ali
this tickled me way more than it should have done, nice mate
Thought the same as soon as I saw him.
lol
Why is his team mate talking about it
I mean, Dele Alli is as white as he is black. English mum, Nigerian dad.

That is like the kill mode. Say this line and you win. Any time.
Paxman was waiting to use that comeback, and we were waiting for Paxman to use it.
you just cannot talk to your Senpai like that
Nothing sassy about him, just giving his honest answer...
In a very sassy way.
@@EightThreeEight Who's being sassy, exactly? If it's Morley answering the quiz questions, don't understand what's 'honest' about them. 2 + 2 = 4 is an 'honest' answer whereas 2 + 2 = 5 is a 'dishonest' answer?
Morley 1 - 0 Paxman
More like Morley 3-1 Paxman
“They’re on French land borders you smartarses” 😂😂😂😂😂
0:12 Damn it feels to good to be a gangsta!
0:11 sheldon cooper triggered
for his defense Lille is in the departement Nord lol
He looks like an intelligent version of Harry Styles.
Drnovšek Zorko looks Like he's straight out of a 1960s rock group - lead guitarist perhaps.
steve randall badass name tho
He looks like young Rasputin dropped in to the 21st century through a time loop.
He looks like a lock-in to be a Steven Wilson fan.
@@ezioproductions7070 Definitely a great name. Like the name of a classical composer.
Crazy name, crazy guy....
That was fun! It's always fun to get a rise out of Paxman.
paxo get schooled big time got to love how he says what else was it going to be
Somerville vs Trinity would be the only fair outcome for this series; with both colleges deserving of success. Morley and Davies are equally effective captains albeit with diametrically opposed styles.
I've been avoiding having the result spoiled this year, but I assume Somerville will crush SOAS tonight. Should make the final interesting.
Salamander Sylph I have amended my post to reflect that I do not have inside information, just an opinion on who are the two strongest teams. I also consider them the most entertaining to watch.
Great to see a video like this
when two of the most decorated teams in the programme's history
happen to bring this to our screens.
Watch the whole episode, Paxman is very classy at the climax of the programme.
Paxman can't bear not being the smartest!
Not sure he's real knowledgeable. He knows the answers beforehand.
@@ralphturner3798 he is a host
'can't bear' implies that he's offended, which is absurd. And he certainly never gives the impression that he thinks he's the smartest.
For Morley read Sheldon Cooper from "Big Bang Theory".
Craziest thing is, he buzzed before the word “for”.
Paxman could have easily said something completely different, like “Who held the position of Prime Minister of the United Kingdom during the Battle of Tannenberg”.
Only the word “for” gives a bit of a clue that “the longest” could follow.
Isn't this about a minute longer than necessary?
0:07 Man, poor James McAvoy got busted for doing this in Starter for 10.
Yeah but he gave the answer before the question had even been started =P plus Starter for 10 was fictional
It's another Bamber/Paxman comparison. Bamber would have probably politely said "That's well intercepted!" & smiled. He would have then moved on to the bonuses with no mention of that starter at the end.
this editing is gining me headache!
God, I just love the nerds! if it wasn't for them we'd be having border disputes with some bloody ape.
Future MI5 and MI6 operatives there if not already.
Paxman took it in good spirits. He is no snowflake, despite the false impression in these comments.
How did he know that? What if it was "for the shortest period of time"?
+Rhea Thermopolis lucky guess
Ben Early Or you could watch the footlight sketch. Kidding though - I like the guy. And I don't think he cheated
+Rhea Thermopolis Because there's minimum 4 years so I'm assuming there's been a couple of people who have only been in for one term.
+Rhea Thermopolis When he buzzed you could hear an l come from Paxman's mouth , he might've heard that
+Rhea Thermopolis he knew he would answer that so he secured himself the right to do so and waited to hear the rest of the question
Title correction....Sheldon v Paxman
dudes now a lawyer/ barrister
1:14 awwww looks like he's human after all.
It's people like you who probably bullied intelligent people at school. There's no need to be so condescending.
@@semi-skimmedmilk4480 the entire watching audience was hoping they’d get all three correct and Paxman would have to eat humble pie.
Paxman has to be the best host for this sort of thing, he's hillhairious.
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. Ephesians 2:8-9 KJV
Why is styxhexenhammer666 on his team
Paxman got owned !
I saw younger version bill gates. Hmmm. I must be blind.
If Sheldon Cooper were English.
I don’t understand the answers let alone the question.
Why is this recorded in like 5 fps?
I still have no idea how he got Thatcher from that. Paxman could have said for the shortest period of time?
Is there a single PM who was in the role for the shortest time? Would there not be multiple PMs who share that record? Whereas Thatcher is alone in having the longest tenure so thats more likely to be the question
@@CitrusMenace You can resign or die, or can be outed in a vote of no confidence. Theresa May and David Cameron both resigned before General Election. Not sure who served the shortest term though.
@@tylerooney790 yes you are right. I looked it up and it turns out the shortest term in the 20th century was that of Andrew Bonar Law he had 211 days before resigning due to illness
@@CitrusMenace Not anymore.
@@billylapworth: No, I'm fairly certain he still holds that record…
My answer to all of those would be: Sorry, i do not understand the question 😅
Sheldon Cooper
I preferred Bamber.
Manchester just like ‘...oh’
I wonder who owns this channel..:
na na na na na, it's the motherRalphing Mor L double E
I fail to see where the VS. was here. About as dramatic as someone getting an order wrong at McDonalds
Back when Jezza had more energy!
I thought the same 😔 Jeremy revealed last year that he has been diagnosed with Parkinson's. Before I knew this, while watching the 2021 tournament I did think that he seemed somewhat slower off the mark than he usually is, despite the fact that he's also now 71. I'm glad he's still there asking the questions though, and long may that continue.
cute sheldon cooper
Sheldon Cooper?
Have we given Paxman to America yet? Normally our arseholes end up there, sometimes they come back...
That boy clearly had a Thatcher poster on his wall.
He looks like Reynad
Its mr bean
Nicely fucked up framerate, feels like I'm having a stroke.
what the hell did you do to the video, missing like fucking 2/3 of the frames
So, now we know what Nigel Farage was doing in his younger years!
Jude law v Paxman
During the 20th century, who held the position of the prime minister of the United Kingdom?
Margaret Thatcher
I mean, it's correct
What chance do i have in life if people like this exist...
.. still, bet my wife's better looking 😊
yooo
Hapax lagomamanon
Sadly, direct and intelligent people are scorned by lesser people. Quite wanky isn't it?
The same is true for the opposite also.
I wonder what side you think you fall
I swear some of the people on University challenge have special needs!
STJIMMY 182 I wouldn't say so but judging by your Greenday picture and the Blink 182 reference in your name, I'd say you have special needs
@STJIMMY 182 What a pathetic attempt at being funny. I'm all for a bit of back and forth/banter, but you're just insulting people because they're slightly different. Classic bully.
He's got quite the ego Paxman.....
