While you may catch them on a rock here and there, they shouldn't really cause you to get hung up. Of course you could replace them with button heads if you like, but we like the hex head bolts because even if they get chewed up you can almost always still get a pair of vise grips on them if you need to remove one. If you mess up a button head bolt, there's not much material to try and grab on to with a tool if you need to remove the bolt.
@@Quadratec True. That makes sense. I didn't mean hung up like I wouldn't be able to move🤣 just worry the bolt would "snag" is the word I should have used. Thank you for responding! I'm trying to work out an affordable way to run skid plates. These seem like an affordable choice.
I'm so glad to see more aluminum skid options!
I would love to see some footage of you guys beating these things up!!
Have you tested the full system in hot climates? What about components overheating or dry grass building up under them and causing a fire?
Would like for you to show us how these handle on the rocky trails!
Will this system provide security from theft of the catalytic converters?
Let's see it on the trail and being put to the test
Wish you would make this for XJ, that and aluminum bumpers.
How bad do those bolts hang up and round off on rocks? They look like they might get hung up. Can they be replaced with button heads?

How do I add the Engine Bay Skid Plate along with my factory transfer skid plate?
Do you know if your Engine Skid Plate will fit a 2008 JK 4 door with an LS2 conversion?
niiiice!! 🔥🔥🔥
Aluminum doesn’t like to slide over rocks. It tends to try to do the exact opposite.
very nice, so what s the full cost jku 2016 full set
Aluminum will not survive hard trail use!
