Brilliant boxset, I bought this when it was released and it’s still one of my favourite box sets. I live in the uk and I remember watching these during the 70’s when I was younger staying up late . We only had three channels back then and these were on late every Saturday night, scared the hell out of me 😆. Tame by today’s standards but they will always be my favourite horror movies

I remember watching some of these on late night TV when I was a kid as well. They are terrific movies and still hold up really well. Hammer really was one of the greatest horror film studios ever.

Great video! I just discovered your channel searching for a video on the new Shout! Factory _The Fly_ collection (and saw your video on the Ultimate Collection) and just wanted to say that I really appreciate you making these videos, despite how small your channel may be compared to other film collecting channels. I fell in love instantly, and I look forward to any new video you may post. I hope you'll do one on the Shout! Factory collection of _The Fly_ sometime, if the differences are significant enough, perhaps with a comparison between it and the Ultimate Collection. Would be cool to see.

Thank you so much for the positive comments! I really appreciate it. I took a short break from the channel around the holidays, but I do have another video planned. I'm hoping to get that up sometime within the next week. Thanks for the suggestion as well. I actually haven't even picked up the Fly collection from Shout! I might at some point, but I am pretty happy with the "Ultimate" set from Australia. However, there is currently more information available in regards to that set than there was when I did the video. Looks like it has a pretty healthy selection of features, so it might be worth repurchasing. I think I'll put that squarely on my "maybe" list. Thanks again for watching!

Thanks! Hammer was a great part of growing up. Lots of Saturday matinee memories.
Got a shelf of their movies on discs & will revisit them in October.
Shout Factory ALWAYS delivers great quality for the money.
    Columbia's 30 movie Blu-ray set is a wonderful deal.

Very informative overview. I really appreciate the way you present the information; no bug-eyed screaming at your viewers or wild, manic hand gestures. The Warner release of "Horror Of Dracula" is quit the disappointment. It is VERY dark. The marvelous detail visible in half-shadow on the UK release is completely lost on the Warner Archive disc. The Universal 8 film blu ray collection has a problem with aspect ratios on some of the discs. Your presentation was refreshing. I subscribed.

Thank you so much for the feedback and subscription. I sincerely appreciate it. I laughed when I read your comment about "hand gestures". My wife tells me that I talk with my hands way too much. I haven't seen the Warner Archive version of Dracula, but I've heard similar criticisms from others. I'm very happy with the quality of everything included on the UK release so I'll be sticking with that. I wasn't aware of the aspect ratio issues on the 8 film Blu-ray collection. Thanks for pointing that out. Very good to know.

They’re allowed to change all the colours and SO ARE YOU.
You can ALSO play the DVD on 5 different TV brands and 3 different TV models.
    They’re ALL DIFFERENT!
Also realise TV voltage in US is different to UK so colours are different as a result.

So dracula and horror of dracula are different than Dracula prince of darkness? Online at Amazon they look like the same movies

Dracula was the first of the Hammer films starring Christopher Lee. When released in the United States, it was renamed as Horror of Dracula. I believe this was to avoid confusion with the Universal Studios film starring Bela Lugosi. Dracula Prince of Darkness is the first of the sequels with Christopher Lee (though actually third in the series). Brides of Dracula is the second in the series, but that film doesn't star Christopher Lee.

      Each TV is different too!
      DVD isn’t film!
      Home is not the cinema!

As a kid I HATED their B&W psychology movies. After enjoying a full blooded Hammer Horror the second feature seemed boring.🎃
