    Personal opinion ahead.
The important thing here is not whether the police participate or not in that festival. What matters is that the police improve their rules regarding weapons and that if there is a report of domestic abuse the police take it seriously from now on without expecting fatalities. We don't know why J didn't report the perpetrator, perhaps out of fear that he was a police officer and they weren't going to do anything about it. Gay or heteroxexual should be taken seriously when telling the police that someone is harassing him/her.

@joogie1849 The accused Constable would have known the circumstances when this WAS permitted. NSW Police have mentioned such occasions, without giving details, at their press talks. I'm guessing it's when a squad is conducting dawn raids for drugs, proceeds of crime, digital scamming equipment etc. You know the ones - where they have dogs, shout 'police, search warrant' at the door and apprehend the occupants in their underwear or sleepwear. > So the accused fabricated a situation. I'm sure this will all come out in court.

I even phoned NSWPF about it and the Officer I spoke to was in tears about the public rage sent to them about the clunky way the Commissioner handled the atrocity. The official "response" I got crapped on about Mardi Gras, and said nothing about the GIGANTIC abuse of protocol which allowed Beau Lamarre-Condon to somehow borrow a firearm and abuse possession of one to enact his delusional form of justice against someone who had clearly said he wanted nothing further to do w him. "Normal" ppl would be hurt by that but be mature enough to move on. Clearly, Condon chose to not do that and tbh I spit on his face for the horror he has caused. He should be thrown to the wolves and I offer my eternal loving empathy to the families of Jesse & Luke. This should NEVER happened, and it has broken me! The accused acted the way he did because of his childhood trauma. His father left him ( divorced his mum), when he was little in primary school. He developed an abandonment trauma. Gay men have lack of connection with a father figure, either raised by a single mum or strained relationship with a father. It creates a need, trauma, they continue seeking this validation, love and acceptance from males ( missing father figure) throughout adult life. Sexualising this need. That’s why they change partners, lovers often, realising this is not it. Have not found it, with the next one it will be it. And never finding it again. The missing element is forever missing. It’s non-existent now. Forever searching and never finding it. The pain and suffering of a gay man who is lost, confused and hungry. For this certain connection with a father whom he never had. He continues to search for him for the rest of his life.

The accused was traumatised in his childhood when his father left a family when he was in primary school. The accused developed a trauma of abandonment. With Jesse he relived this trauma over again by being rejected and substituted. This reminded him of pain he felt when his father left him. Jesse reminded him of his young father. The trauma became unbearable and he had a need to act out trauma. Study physiology and trauma.

I will never understand stalkers and love killings. If you love that person how could you hurt them. So it definitely wasn't love. Sick obsession.
