I just picked this up yesterday for $55.. I loved the 15 yr so much, I thought I would give it a shot. Sounds like you enjoyed it alot. Can't wait to try it. Great review.
Glad you did this Phil because Campbletown makes great Scottish malt whisky. Springbank is a fantastic distillery and have complete control of the production of their product. Springbank 10 is a great whisky and it's their entry level. Longrow Peated is great. My favourite Longrow is the 14 which is discontinued but you can still get it. Just finished a bottle of Kilkerran 12 and that's great value. Campbletown prove you can have great whisky at good prices in an era of overpriced product. It has a distinct style which Serge Valentin refers to as 'dirty' in a complementary way. Springbank also happens to Ralphy's model distillery. It's hard to disagree. Take care. WT
If Someone asked me what whisky should I try to get me started on my journey I would say leave out the glenlivets, glenfiddichs and glenmorangies and get springbank 10. For the price I find it an exceptional whisky
We had a freeze warning last night in New York/New Jersey area, Whisky Weather! I never really warmed up to Springbank, finished a bottle of the 10yo & 18yo. Not my favorite.
Dan E Fair play, Dan. I can always assume that some people aren't fans of it, it's a mix of a few different styles. Hope the weathers cleared for you today!
Gary Robinson Hey, Gary. I've tried the 12YO. I've no idea what year or Batch the bottling was, but I didn't get along with it very well. Something about it was just a bit off, but! That'd could've been just an issue with that bottle or that Batch. Having not tired enough to fully experience the range, I'd say, if you like that classic softer style from the likes of Auchentoshan and Glenkinchie then it should be right up your street.
+Whisky Wednesday i ended up getting the Glen scotia double cask instead. I saw a 9 year old hazelburn but went with the Glen scotia it was £14 cheaper. Thanks for your help.

Awesome review Phil....I really like the Double Cask for what it is priced at. I got it for only $46 dollars!
The Malted Man Cave Such a good price! It’s about £35 in the UK and I can’t get enough of it.
I've now tried both these whiskies I love them both probably the best whiskies I've tasted so far and plan on always having them in my collection.
Gary Robinson Excellent! Both are such good value and great tasting. Cheers Gary.
Great video! I appreciate all the background and then your tasting notes. Cheers!
Whisky Neighbour Anytime, neighbour!
I hammered the Longrow really impressed with it.
Gary Robinson That's what I like to hear! As I'm sure Longrow would. Cracking bottle.
I was actually planning on buying a few CT's. Springbank 10, Kilkerran 12 and now Longrow Peated as well. Thanks for the video, as always!
DutchLiam84 Longrow and Killkerran! Tried both of those bottling's, both great.
Every one of those expressions is great. Well, when I say great I mean delicious whisky and very good value.
Great reviews, Phil. I love Springbank, I might have to look into the Longrow Peated. Keep up the good work!
Tmy Romt Cheers, man. Longrow is exceptional, if you love Springbank the it'll only concrete your feelings for them even more.
Have been to all Campbeltown distillerys , great
STANLEY MOORE Still yet to venture West in Scotland, it'll happen next year though!
Love Springbank and Glengyle.
My Favorites are Springbank 15, Longrow Red(Pinot Noir) and Kilkerran 12
Next years Longrow Malbec is going to be special! Make sure you can get hold of one.
Great series! Made me curious about the Glen Scotia, I might have to go get one of those :)
SOWLEG Thanks man! Yeah, check them out, not expensive and very interesting.

Couldn't agree with you anymore, sir!
My apologies for all the waffle. Love the the show.
Welsh Toro No need to apologise. What's whisky without enthusiasm! Thank you.

Totally agree. Springbank 10 is excellent and I prefer it to some of their more expensive expressions. WT
You are a wise man.....but don't tell too many people. There won't be any Springbank left for us:)
From your review, I looked into the Longrow 18 online and that sounds very interesting. Great review.
Keith Petersen it's awesome, Keith! If you can get one, I would recommend it. Too beautiful.
Both TWE & MOM have it in stock in the $80 range.
Keith Petersen Really? Well there goes my expendable income.
I'm reading a few comments on MOM that there are some weaker years. Are you aware of this?
Keith Petersen I am not, Keith. I've tried the 2015 and 2014 release, both were exceptional in my eyes.

Have you tried the hazelburn? I'm curious about trying a bottle.

i used to work in springbank
Shane Woodford You sir, had a job that a lot of us would have killed for. Well done!
I paid £34 for the Glen scotia unfortunately I'm not keen on heavily peated whisky.
Gary Robinson Good price! I paid about £40 for my bottle.
