I was going to suggest a good break in. Remember 9mm through the suppressor is very dirty so clean shoot, clean shoot, repeat a bunch. I appreciate your content so keep it coming. BravoJulietAlpha out!
Loved your appearance on Brass Facts and all the details you provided about the temporary and permanent cavity. I learned a lot from that video. Thank you for all the hard work you put in these videos.
Agreed. I bought a PSA 9mm glock mag lower in 2016 because i had a G19.. These days im really into the retro ARs and after buying a 653 i now want one of these H&R 635s.
Thanks for the explanation about carrying by the carry handle. The gun community throws alot of platitudes around but never explain "why" I'm guessing there's nothing wrong carrying a carry handle upper by the handle. However perhaps not a removable carry handle?
Excellent video. I carried both M16A1 & A2 and never had to use the forward assist. Also I have AR15 Sporter with no forward assist and has no problems feeding. Jessie, keep up the great content.
I'm inclined to say it would but I guess that comes down to bolt design? There's definitely different lower options out there and I feel like there's gotta be one that would feed fine
Love your channel but "must" correct on one important point. iT WAS the USMC DRILL INSTRUCTOR not a ARMY DOG DRILL SERGEANT who made it a moral sin to carry the AR style rifle by the "carry handle for two very IMPORTANT reasons. One was safety the other is for faster accessibility in actual combat. I can explain the two but do not wish to make this a rant. Needless to say the important reasons not to use the carry handle has great merit and I can very well support my perspective mam. Good job though and keep on doing wonderful videos, I love your content mam.
Pffttt can't expect the army to be that well thought out. It definitely makes sense from a real world use perspective. For me plinking around and having some fun, the carry handle works great to walk from a to b lol
Maybe your FTF and other issues is why no one is talking about it yet lol It's a vibe though. I've wanted a DOE AR9 for a hot minute. Hopefully PSA works the kinks out.
Yeah it was a mag issue. They got broken in after some more range time with her and i haven't had it happen again. Always gotta expect some growing pains I guess
This is one of my favorite pcc alongside my draco 9s. I went to sbr my 635 but... One missing bit info got my app declined 😢 but my 102 was approved so half upset. But damn the H&R is a great carbine! Side note the gas deflector does its job well as i see even better with a suppressor. People mistake the gas deflector as a brass deflector. Great piece of history and nice fun clone project!
I know I can't help myself! But side note my poor SMG 635 sits separate from it's lower as I need to resubmit or put back on the brace. @@Boondockballistician
Just so you know, I picked your video to watch over Garand Thumb, and I'm not dissapointed. Carry handle ARs are definetely a vibe, but I've never even considered a 9mm one, so it was really interesting to discover that those do in fact exist
These are definitely a vibe. Putting the last few rounds in the mags is a beast though. The FSB mounted rails is a nice touch and keep the weight down. I dig it.
Didn't Stoner say something like, "If you're having a failure to feed the last thing you should do is ram the bolt home"? I can't remember ever using the bolt closure on either the M16A2 or the M4.
I’ve got a retro Bushmaster Hbar with the C7 carry handle upper and it’s one of my favorite rifles.I’ve been wanting to get one of these for years now and PSA just made it a lot easier! These have got to be the best looking pcc’s out there imo!
@@Boondockballistician if you are looking for an optic check out Primary Arms prism optics as most of them mount directly to the carry handle! I have the 2.5x Acss prism on my Bushmaster and it’s been great! The 2x prism they sell looks just like a mini acog and is very nice! The micro prisms would be a good choice as well and they all mount directly to the carry handle!
Just a tip about the carry handle mounts, you’ll want to place shims on each side of the scope mount to keep it squared inline with the handle as you tighten the mount nut, otherwise the mount will cock to the left and throw off your optic alignment. I used card stock thick paper on mine and it squared the mount right up. Now I’m able to shave the hair off of a gnats ass at 600 yards.
@@Boondockballistician My unsolicited advice would be to go with the Primary Arms mount for their prism stuff, definitely the coolest carry handle setup out there imo.
I bought an H&R 653 about a year ago and i LOVE these retro carbines.. Super lightweight (5 .5 lbs) and more practical then many would think. These 635s have been on my radar since i bought my 653 and when i can get the funds together im likely replacing my Glock lower 9mm PCC with one of these.
I love my 9mm PCC.. I built it as pretty much a more modern version of this. SO far I haven't had any issues with it but I've only sent maybe 250-300 rounds through it (fingers crossed).
1:06 I've heard of a _door kicker_ but never a _table kicker._ Great review. Love the esthetic of that little beauty. Keep it retro, keep it classic. I wonder if putting a butt pad on that brace would "transform" it into a stock in the eyes of the law? Hmm...
That looks like so much fun to shoot and so cheap now a days! I bought something I am super excited with too, but it is not so cheap to shoot. About $4.50 a round for my Barrett M99 =) I am about to put up some videos with it after my camping trip! Great video, have fun, be safe, kick ass!
The feed issues are confirmed mag problems!! After wearing them in some, the issue stopped!!
Thats fairly typical during a break in period. An average break in period is about 300 to 500 rounds. Usually.

5:42 smooth transitionning to cover behind level 3 ballistic table 😏
Spared no expenses on this costco ballistic table😅
Colt SMG mags are such a vibe.
A good part of the reason I was so excited to buy this lmfao

Very much here for this trend👌🏻

Someone is talking about it: you!
Love your channel, you should do memberships!
Trying to work on some fun badges for you guys!
Crossing my fingers they release a version with a glock mag lower.
I'd rather have a lower that takes scorpion mags. The feed angle of the glock lowers always feels awkward to me.
H&R Car brace looks cool but its not that comfy. I am thinking about swapping back to the sba4.
Yeah I'm slowly upgrading this one and while that's on the end of my upgrade list, I'm probably going to be swapping it out too
I just invested in a couple new PCC's, if it weren't for that, I'd be really interested. as it is, I still kind of am, but finances and all that.
The eternal struggle of the modern firearm owner... we all know that feel
I've been eyeing one and wanted to see if it was compatible with a AR lower that used mp5 mags
I'm inclined to say it would but I guess that comes down to bolt design? There's definitely different lower options out there and I feel like there's gotta be one that would feed fine

What's the chest rig?
Haley micro chest rig! It's a nice one for sure, hard to get a hold of and good rigs are pricey of course. But for my size, solid option

They probably should’ve gone with Glock mags.
Be careful don't break your fingernails that's really important❤

nothing wrong with the quality control
