Gamechanger Plasma Pedal - Sound Demo (no talking)

Here´s a sound demo of the Gamechanger Plasma Pedal.
Instead of using LED circuits, transistors or vacuum tubes to produce overdrive, the PLASMA PEDAL transforms the instrument’s live signal into a series of continuous high-voltage discharges within a xenon-filled tube.

Truly a unique pedal this, I've rarely seen a pedal that had so much mixed opinions. Some love it, some hate it.
I think it's a really interesting piece of kit, I read on Anderton's comment section that "there is a fine line between high gain wet farts and and scary, horror movie sound effects". That happens to describe it quite well, I reckon. I'd love to mess around with one.

For me, what make this pedal unique, in sound terms, is the blend knob. There you can have unique sounds.

Mike Kerr is using this pedal on the 3rd upcoming studio album of royal blood. Checkout the songs boilermaker and king live and then tell me if this pedal is a gimmick or crappy sounding with no possible use because I think in the right hands this pedal is amazing. I’m saying this because on several vids of the plasma pedal people say this pedal isn’t useable or it can’t be used live etc.

Well if you know what your doing & really able to play the guitar then I don't see how nobody can make any music with this pedal. Look at Rob Scallon, you give that guy literally anything such as a hub cap, bungee cords & an old busted tube radio then he'll put it all together & make some banjo bass with some sweet melodies worthy of a UA-cam video!

money would be better spent on the boss od200 which also has a good tight gate and is much more versatile. that said, this has a couple of good sounds at best that you could probably get by stabbing some holes in your speaker and turning up the gain and saving money. it's an 80 quid pedal with a gimmick on the front to make you pay up. good review all the same coz it has confirmed that i just don't want one at that money

I think the difference is you don't have to worry about it giving out on you at any moment and you can control the aspects of the brokeness
