    Awesome video.
    Nice seeing the differtent types of rounds. Kids got skills as well :D
    This style of passing seems great. Big fan of bulking to go up in weight rather than cutting down, you feel happier

    6:08 what kind of grip is that looks like a reverse kimura or something xD and why do you use it?

    • @WilliamTackettBJJ
      @WilliamTackettBJJ  11 місяців тому +1

      Reverse kimura! I’m trying to secure his arm. I may need to build a base back to north south position, so I don’t like the traditional kimura as much from here. Since with the reverse kimura I can let go of the wrist and post the mat to help me build my base back up. If I had regular kimura, I would need to switch my grip to free up my posting arm, or else I would lose control.
      So the reverse kimura allows me to maintain control while posting.
      In this scenario, I didn’t need to post cause I broke his grip for the wrist lock easily. Bit if I have difficulty breaking the grip, I need to build my base, and then switch to attack the arm

    What’s your training routine like? How often are you training and how long are the sessions?

    • @WilliamTackettBJJ
      @WilliamTackettBJJ  11 місяців тому +1

      2-3 (jiujitsu+ weights/conditioning) sessions per day - 5 days per week
      1 rest day with active recovery (Saturday)
      1 light day (1-2 light sessions) on Sunday

      I try to maximize downtime between sessions.
      Get 8+ hours of sleep every night.
      Hydrate plenty.
      Hit my caloric intake each day.
      And listen to my body on how hard to go each session!
