Still learning the saw But what I learned, even if everything seems to be going well, be prepared for the worst on the saw During a fuel management job, work buddy did the call out for a tree coming down I glance over to see if I’m far back enough, I go back to work, tree falls, it all sounds normal till i hear a “holy fuck!” I glance back over and the tree is down, looked normal… until i noticed that the tree did a compete flip, if buddy was any close he would’ve looked like a mouse in a snap trap 😬 When the tree started to fall, it pivoted and hit a nearby tree mid fall, the terrain/slope caused the bottom to push out and it did a lil flip, top end was at dudes feet a few meters ahead of him
That's crazy. I've never done any kind of timber falling or anything like that. All of my experience is in urban tree care. Learning to expect the unexpected always seems to take linger than it should.
