I'm curious if Azir (and probably Xerath) learned Chronomancy. Nasus probably learned some of it, capable of using "Wither" spell, aging things temporarly. But Azir sandcrafting are more like "shaping" (not restoring) things back what was once before. I don't know how powerful Zilean is with his chronomancy, but I have a feeling that misusing it or being careless comes with a terrible price related to the Void. and Icathia paid for it.
If I remember correctly, skarners race was in shurima; and the crystals can (have been) used for time stuff. If the sand eroded those crystals, them wouldnt it give sandshapers some extra juice?
Imagine Azir like a child that awoke from a dream where he was the emperor and now he is playing with the sand of a beach remembering the mighty castles and armies he rose with a single thought in this dream before the shores of an indifferent world and the tide of betrayal devastated the lands and wiped away his empire, his people and his very soul, leaving dirt and a flat, dead wasteland where tall palaces that touched the sky and cities filled with life once stood. His visions of the city, the legacy, the jewel the world coveted all of it crumbled in seconds before his fading self and powerless gaze. Now awake in grief with the visions gone like dust in the wind his despair took the place of his tattered ambition as he tries desperately to mimic the movements and magic that once guided the prosperity of a nation, his motions slowly become more and more unnatural and mechanical until he resembles a sorrowful puppet of a lost time and the threads that makes his delusion dance lead to the pathetically to bring back the glory of the past
i like how azir is capable of having warfare with minimal casualties, as his sand soldiers can do alot of the work normal ppl would die for so in a real confrontation noxus vs shurima for example he can literally keep a war without losing any significant numbers this is what most nations would kill for, especially with non massiv area of effect kinds of weapons ( nukes and so on) there also arent corpses, just sand, which is instantly a new weapon the next moment the only real issue for shuriman empire is to get all of shurima under wraps speak deal with renekton deal with xerath deal with as much of the void as possible perhaps a peace treaty with demacia and ixtal suddenly they would be the strongest faction around i feel even targon would not fuck azir up as he is 100% beneficial if shurima was in the stock market id say invest now be rich later
This is just my theory but i think every ascended is an aspect one with physical body.. Like from Aatrox lore (old lore i think) it is mentioned that he is once an avatar for a now forgotten celestial ideal.. So this is my theory, the difference between Targons' ascended is that the "aspect" takes over the body, or like control the body from afar.. While a Shuriman ascended is a mortal combining with the celestial ideal.. Basically the difference is most of the host of aspects for Targon lost their sense of self while Shuriman ascended becomes the celestial ideal itself.. This explains why there is a great reaction between Pantheon (the aspect) and Aatrox because both of their celestial ideals is close to each other (panth=war/ this is just a guest but i think Aatrox ideal is about nobility or something close to how one conduct his self in war etc. Or it can be justice)... Varus = retribution (maybe related to the fact on how he got the right to be ascended), Rhaast = death (which gives to the idea that Rhaast works with Aatrox as in bad cop and good cop, one brings the justice and the other punishes the wicked), the twin raptor ascended(which go crazy due to their possible aspect) = divination/clairvoyance, Azir with the falcon look = freedom/vision/victory, which also connotes salvation.. Each and every shuriman ascendeds' appearance may have a relation to the celestial ideals they represent..
I realized something interesting, in Azir level 1 card in the circle of sand you can see that the Sun Disc goes with the lunar cycles, which led me to the conclusion that thanks to the fact that the moon is hidden, the Sun Disc can take the power of the sun in new moon, and in turn also means, that the Chalicar (Sivir's weapon) acts as a Moon Disc that can be used in full moon to rob the Ascended of their power, as the moon steals the light of the sun, as it happened in the history the twilight of the gods... I read this comment before watching the video XD
idk if you get this a lot, but i really like when you make long videos with a lot of info compacted in one video... i realized you tend to say constantly that videos end up being too long but (idk the rest) i enjoy them :)
Zilean prediction: Everytime Zilean attacks he creates a timebomb on the enemy field that counts down and deals damage to every enemy target. He could also have some prediction mechanics, like being able to buff predicted allies. They could use his w as his signature spell wich will either cast the last spell again, similar to karma or taric, or change the spellspeed of a spell. His level-up condition could be that you've seen countdowns go to zero or predict a specific amount of times. After he levels up he could resurrect the strongest allie that died last turn.
It may be worth looking into the cards' lore relative to their function, for the viewers' pleasure: the Chimera is made of sand for instance, standing among sand soldiers and its effect is a reduced cost based on the number of allied units that attacked throughout the match. The text and art are important to function and effect. Just a constructive suggestion to consider.
He got corrupted by the Void, he lost his ascended form after this. Some people theorize that he was another birdman-god because of his helmet form and his wings.

Pretty sure that Azir and the army of Shurima could have a really high chance of fighting against Morekaiser (granted that they are in the desert), or at least hold him off for something or someone that could take him down permanently.
Theory: Enemy Nasus interaction will be canon since it can happen later.
I mean, for now Nasus seems to be okay with Azir, but later he will see danger that comes with Emperor's ambition of conquering the world.
Then Nasus will be an enemy of a tyrant.
This way both interactions might be canon.
Shurima legit sounds like a cult with the quotes from Azir's people
I mean, they worship Azir as a god-emperor. Shurima is a theocratic monarchy/empire
The joke about "converting someone to Shurima" and "Shuriman missionaries" is becoming more real lol
Necrit is always worried about how long a video is but honestly I just want an hour long video going into detail about literally everything.
That would be so great actually. I need hour long lore videos from Necrit.
me, who onetricks azir: O.o
Damn, you must be sad...
@@galio7741 why tf would they be sad? I onetrick Azir as well its a fucking awesome champion and a tough one to master but an incredible playmaker!
@@andrijabarovic6694 because of the nerf...
@@andrijabarovic6694 right!? Just yesterday someone on ARAM said I shouldn't have played Azir, cuz' " e sucks on aram".
I only died once that game and THAT was on purpose; came back full build!
@@Saphentite i mean, yeah, they are nerfing him to the ground for no reason other than "people like to play him" but that can only make us mad at riot, not rly sad...
how many times do we have to tell you that we don't care how long the video gets we will always watch it fully XD, we love to listen to your stories man.
Azir's level up animation shows him raising the sun disc out of the sands, so I think you got that right.
I've always wondered where Lions came from since we got Rengar, a lion vastayan. Though I'm not sure if he was stated to be directly descended from lions. All I know is that the Riot designers heavily emphasized that he was based after lions.
Azir really took Pocket-sand to a whole new level.
Thanks for this video, Necrit! I was about to sit down and start working on a DnD subclass based on this when I saw this in my recommended.
10:38 In the level up of renekton, you can see him slashing different jackals that are not nasus. I think they're just a vastaya...
Necrit: We've never seen a centaur in Runeterra.
Lillia: *cries in a corner*
Shes technically a spirit
Anakin's having a panic attack right now
"I dont like sand"
It's rough, course, irritating...and it gets fking everywhere!!
I assumed that the Sandstone Chimera was just a creature that azir made, similar to how he can make soldiers, he made this legendary beast to prove his power to the people and show he had returned. Nothing as grandiose as bringing a myth back to life.
Pls make a noxus (black rose card) too
Horus was shaped after a falcon not an ibis, which are those birds on that card, so we can assume azir is shaped after a falcon
Ibis was Toth was it not
@@SamaAtlas ye
I didn't know I'd love the Shuriman lore this much, I'm not keen on Egyptian themed stuff besides JoJo's Bizarre Adventure stuff. But this. I love this.
I'm pretty sure it's confirmed that the Dunekeeper is the guy from the cinematic that takes the royal seal to Azir.
he does look like him but where is his mask?
@@grandmashark6443 Maybe he gained his mask and position as Azir's elite as a reward for getting the mask?
@@arthaerus7320 but I think if they wanted to make clear it's the guy from the cinematic they would at least have put the mask in his hand or at his belt. But idk
last time was this early azir wasnt nerfed 10000000 times
I got chills from the beginning to the end of the video
Shurima : exists*
Anakin skywalker : *I HATE YOU*
I was wondering around and it pop up nice
About the sandstone chargers, we do actually see centaur like beings in one other region. The shadow Isles, Hecarim and is legion of spectral riders. Perhaps they were formed after the same image.
necrit : lions Extincted a while ago
rengar : am i a cat to you ?
You forgot to metion the most important part of Emperor's prosperity.
- With this card, I can draw two more cards from my deck!
15:20 it may be targon but im getting some hella strong Archimonde vibes there
True, same cinematic in w3 when archimonde crushes a city
nice! you released another one!
Now awake in grief with the visions gone like dust in the wind his despair took the place of his tattered ambition as he tries desperately to mimic the movements and magic that once guided the prosperity of a nation, his motions slowly become more and more unnatural and mechanical until he resembles a sorrowful puppet of a lost time and the threads that makes his delusion dance lead to the pathetically to bring back the glory of the past
i like how azir is capable of having warfare with minimal casualties, as his sand soldiers can do alot of the work normal ppl would die for
so in a real confrontation noxus vs shurima for example he can literally keep a war without losing any significant numbers
this is what most nations would kill for, especially with non massiv area of effect kinds of weapons ( nukes and so on)
there also arent corpses, just sand, which is instantly a new weapon the next moment
the only real issue for shuriman empire is to get all of shurima under wraps
speak deal with renekton
deal with xerath
deal with as much of the void as possible
perhaps a peace treaty with demacia and ixtal
suddenly they would be the strongest faction around
i feel even targon would not fuck azir up as he is 100% beneficial
if shurima was in the stock market
id say invest now
be rich later
We don't know if sand soldiers are expendable, especially if they're images of fallen soldiers.
Just imagine how many Diamond Shovels that took..
They have unbreaking and mending at max lvl
to be honest, if you make a 1 hour long lore video, i would still watch it
I really love the Zilean cards personally, all of them are so cool.
This may be just a speculation but maybye the sand wraith skin line are these sand soldiers that azir can make.
Well Rhasst Aatrox and Varus boss is back
and possibly in the future they too, not counting clearly the possibility of azir being able to break the seal that was placed on them
what if his appearence resembles a Phoenix , to die only to be reborn stronger than ever -"Shurima has Risen , and it will never fall again"
Azir handling Nasus and Renekton could easily be a sitcom
I hope they make icathia as a region. we need more darkin and LORE about them
hm, the void will be a region, icathia itself will be linked to shurima as a region
There are chronomancers from icathia there. Even Zilean is on some of cards. It will be probably added in mini expansions
Icathia isn't releted to darkins
Azir is the Jin Woo of League of Legends.

Azir: Empire, Shurima's glory, etc
Sivir aka Mr Crabbs: MONEY
16:34 bin chickens.....
His warriors of the past are now mummies in the future.
Wait wait wait. 16:39 it can't be, well at least not necessary, Aatrox was ascended (right?) and didn't take the form of an animal.
He got corrupted by the Void, he lost his ascended form after this. Some people theorize that he was another birdman-god because of his helmet form and his wings.
@@pudimachocolatado3391 oke, thanks
