When you showed the Nintendo controllers in that drawer, I thought to myself "wow a Switch and Joy-Cons would look so nice sitting on top next to that record player." I absolutely love the way you added color. Top notch, subscribed!
I've learned two things from this video; one, you are some kind of wood working super hero and two, I will be buying a cabinet for my rig! The video was super cool to watch though. Love the sounds when the video was sped up. Thanks for showing us the details of how this was done.
Gahhh I’m mad at myself for not finding your channel sooner. Your gorgeous design, use of scrap materials, and high attention to details made the video so satisfying to watch. My furniture professor always said to finish the bottom of a chair well not for anyone’s eyes but the maker himself. Your build embodies the idea beautifully.
@@MichaelAlm I've been playing with simple filming and editing to see if I like the idea of running a channel. It's a bit daunting at the moment haha...How do you like it?
Yeah, there’s a lot to learn for sure. What helped me was to simplify the process as much as possible. I shot my first video with my cellphone and edited on iMovie. I gradually added other elements in. I definitely enjoy doing it. There’s no doubt it’s a good bit of work, but the process is fun. I’d encourage you to shoot something shot just to test it out...
Your simply amazing my friend! Have you ever made a video on how you got started working with wood? The passion of the craft shows in every sense of your videos!
Wow, this is really gorgeous!! Those colours are amazing. Seeing projects like this has me really stoked to start making furniture after we move next month.
Thanks Johnny! I really appreciate it!! The cover-ply is incredible to work with. It spoils you. I'll be at WBC this year, so hopefully we'll get a chance to hang out.
Great looking cabinet!! I like the contrast of the colors and the way you did drawers. This novice learns a bit more each time I watch one of your videos. Thanks..
Paperstone is made about 2 1/2 miles down the road from where I live. It's interesting stuff but yes it is very heavy. It can be hard on saw blades, especially the solid stuff.
Hey, you really need some edge protectors for your straps and to protect the glued corners (easy to make from wood). Your straps stay clean and "life" longer. But very good work! VERY NICE💪🏽👍🏽🤩
Michael, This is an impressive piece of work. The pseudo-70's vibe fits perfectly for the purpose. It is both new and nostalgic. Very entertaining! Keep it up.
Thank you! I would encourage you to keep trying. Design is challenging for sure, and I've made plenty of ugly things over the years. What's helped me a lot has been visiting museums, restoring old furniture, and just experimenting with forms. I designed this piece about 20 times in my sketch book before starting, and then redesigned it as I went. Thanks for watching!
Came for the "make wool look like metal video", stayed for this one. Brilliant design and masterful execution. Thanks alot for lots of new ideas...I'm happy that I have not yet started remodeling my room.
I love the multi colors on the door slides, so retro!!!
Wow, what a great piece !!!!
Best designs have ever seen
Midcentury design with a modern interpretation - I think that's the best design for furnitures :) ♡♡♡ your work! So perfectly done.
My goodness!! Too much skills!!!!!!
Dude, I’m so glad you get to keep this. It is killer.
Thanks man!

It's funny, I did end up putting all my switch gear in there. Thanks for the sub!
Very nicely executed on the paint accents. Well done. 👏👏👏
This man needs to do a house tour
the drawer handles are awesome
As always, nicely done and making it look easy. Nice.
Super sharp👌 Very nice work, dude.
Beautiful work Michael
Beautiful work
Great design. Looks 50's, and modern, at the same time!
I love this cabinet build. it truly looks like something from he '60s. I could just see this in some ones living room olding their tv and whatnot.
That is so cool it’s ridiculous!
very nice work, the design is great
That is a thing of beauty, my friend.
Great job, looks fantastic. I was thinking - most of our kids won't have the joy of using a record player brush......😁
I think there's hope... I didn't grow up with records, but I love listening to them now, and most of my favorite artists are putting out vinyl.
I love your design on this one, Michael. It really captures the eye.
Great job, and thanks for sharing. Felix
You did a great job congratulations. it was a good example for us

Thanks so much Kerchuan! When are you going to start a channel, so we can watch your amazing creations? 😉

Hi Michael, what to say. Nice forniture, nice music, nice atmosphere! And the SNES in the drawer is like a surprise in the Easter Egg. Wonderfull!!!
Thanks Silvestro!
Beautiful job, I love it! And I love the old benz in the background, perfect choice for an everlasting car.
Keep up the good work!

Very entertaining! Keep it up.
Thanks JD! That was definitely the vibe I was hoping for. Glad it came across!
So jealous. The one thing I can't really learn is design. That seems to be an innate thing you either have or you don't. You got it.

@@MichaelAlm Great advise. I'm actually building your outfeed table for my SawStop as we speak! I found some black chalk board at home Depot.
@@MrConnert Fantastic! I hope it works well for you. If you're on instagram, tag me when you finish the table. I'd love to see it!

I really like how you attached the horizontal colored pieces. Those angles made it pretty seamless. Great looking piece, Michael!
Thanks Bruce!

work of art. aesthetics and function fit so well the context.
Super slick cabinet, and those slider shots are money!
