Not gonna lie, I actually teared up when I heard “Rise Now Our Hero”. It and “Majestica” are so powerfully awesome! So perfect for the moment when just as all hope seems lost and the innocent people of a fantasy world accept their fate of being crushed under the forces of a tyrant, the protagonists return and in no time decimate the forces of evil!

We had been together since the age of six, born in the same year the same month, 11 days apart. We got married and in nine years had three great children. She died in my arms at the age of 31. I'm now 68 and miss her as hard now, as the day she died. Never remarried didnt see the point, anyway I had three kids you bring up. But just for a moment I would love to breath in her smell or hear one whisper of her voice ,but that only happens in movie's.

I think of her as some character, who only existed in some story. I was never suppose to meet her, but only God knows, why I crossed paths with her, she literally changed my whole life. Well, we never even dated. Probably, she was a living mystery to me. Once in a while, I think does she even remember me...
I'm just random author who decided to write to live a story, where she would be with me.

"Do you miss him?" she asks herself.
She pauses and dips her foot in the hot spring, her eyes distant before her voice changes to a softer tone.
"Sometimes"
Biting into the apple, she chews gently.
"This used to be our spot, we would tell each other everything."
She sighs after a while and gives her imaginary friend the apple, handing it to her other palm.
"I would do anything to see him one more time"
Her mannerisms shift as she bites down roughly on the apple, her voice changing again.
"He doesn't deserve you. You have me now."
"You'll never leave me right?"
"No I won't. I'm yours forever."
"I love you."
She hugs herself.
The more we pursue something the farther we get, once you get far enough away you cannot get anywhere except closer. Pushing through that barrier is the only thing stopping you from achieving your potential.

When I was searching for an answer to the choices I am about to make, I felt like this video with its title was send to me by god. I just want to see you one more time, love. Just once to say what I have not yet said. However this chapter of our life may end, just one more time. I will do everything.
She can see it.
The chaos happening around her. The "ants" that struggle desprately to survive, to see a new day. The cries resonate around her and bring carols of a myriad of emotions for the many in the heat of battle. All knowing they are outnumbered. Their fate looms over the horizon.
Unless. Unless... there is a change in the tide.
She slowly struggles to her feet, noticeably a speck in the background, until she slams her shield into the ground. The reverberations somehow grounded her and created a unanimous pause in the action as all eyes locked on to her.
In the momentary silence, all can hear her ragged breathing and pitiful attempt at laughter while looking down at her shield, "Heh."
Taking that as their cue, the enemy swarms to their target, unable to escape the delectable temptations she is wafting from her position; just a hair-breadth away from utter demise, salivating at the anticipated touch of the delectable prey in front of them.
She had finished and they realized it too late.
The energy from her, from her shield, became the anchor and attachment to these monstrosities. The enemy pathetically attempted to escape their energy chains as more and more of their comrades got dragged into the quagmire.
She finally looked up from her shield and all could see her worn-out appearance that could still not hide her steel iron will. All could see her smirk, yet resigned acceptance. Confusion bloomed in the eyes of her fellow "ants," not registering what she doing until they heard it.
".. 2, 1. Eradicate."
It was too late before any of them could make a move forward toward her. None could see what was happening in front of them as they were all blinded by the radiating heat and blinding light. They could only hear the piercing cries of disbelief and extreme soul-crashing fear and sorrow coming from their enemies, all in denial about accepting their sealed fate.
Then all they could hear and see in front of them was silence. Nothingness and silence.
The enemies that had numbered in the hundreds of thousands were gone, vanquished from existence.
She had done it. She had upturned this war on its head, ensuring they could all see another day. They would all see the sunrise while listening to sobering wales of rememberance for her. The one that had risen up as their new hero with all her majesty.

Whenever I hear one of these, I imagine myself heading into battle, sword and shield in hand, letting out a battle roar. I can't be the only one.
If you witness the horror of war..you would never again imagine it.(from experience)

I used to compete against Derek Zhao on a midi competition site called pixelart. There were many great composers to look up to.
When we were scoring each other's work, it was always under complete anonymity. Derek Zhao was leagues above everyone, for several years. Month after month, we all knew which song was his before the results came in. We also knew he would be in the top three, every month. I can say, honestly, it was a privilege to be a part of that. To actually be able to talk to him and encourage him, as well as pick his brain. I will always have a special place in my heart for him, because I always saw him as Houston's future Nobuo Uematsu. I just wish we got to meet and shake hands. He had a profound effect on how I approach music, how I hear music, and how much I love it.
