I have been watching European Rally Car crash and fail videos for a few years now and it seems to me that the drivers are relying far too much on their brakes, especially the rear brake. I don't know if it has to do with the fear of an upcoming curve or the fact that they have a navagator sitting in the right seat that is constantly giving them directions. I assume the rules of Rally racing requires the teams to have a navagator on board to tell the driver what to expect. Personally, I would not want someone sitting next to me giving directions. Some of these teams need to learn to stay off the brakes and let the engine braking systems do most of the work. I am sure there would be fewer accidents that way. Also there are far too many people who run out to push or pull a car out of a ditch. It would seem that there would only be specific people allowed to assist a car that is in a ditch.
1. They are mostly Front Wheel Drive. Without rear handbrake, they would never get around the corners. 2. There is no "proper assistants", it's a RALLY. If the spectators don't clear a crash, the whole rally comes to a complete stop.
Why does it take so long for drivers to get it into reverse after a crash or stall? In my six speed stick shift car it doesn't take long at all. Is it something about the transmissions they use?
Molto bene! Buon lavoro tutto l'anno, speriamo di vederti nel 2022 con altri fantastici video 😉👍

They might have a lockout on reverse to prevent accidental selection. SO, pull some lever or something, then wrench it into reverse.
if they do a mistake in 3 gear , they have shift down 3-2-1-R also , sequenziel gear boxes
