The Final Storm: Sea Fury T.20 WG655 'Invincible'

- 14th March 2019, one year ago... Shaun Patrick flies Sea Fury T.20 WG655 'Invincible', registration G-INVN. Together with 'The Shark', they are owned by Shaun Patrick, maintained by Aircraft Restoration Company at Duxford and operated by Norwegian Spitfire Foundation at air shows. The public may fly in these vintage warbirds through Aerial Collective. The Sea Fury was the final storm of Hawker's piston fighters, designed by Sir Sydney Camm.
On 14th March 2019, Shaun Patrick together with NSF display pilots Lars Ness and Eskil Amdal, took to the skies with photographer Eirik Østensjø and filmmaker Knut Åshammer. They captured Invincible and The Shark above the clouds and here is the video of Shaun flying this mighty Sea Fury.

Not quite an Original Sea Fury, it's fitted with an American engine. Some would even class this as a replica. I don't but the original Bristol Centaurus sounds better and the five bladed prop looks right.
Better than listening to a Top Fuel or a Funny. Next time invite "Nellie" . That would be AWESOME! Masters of the sky. Wing fold PERFECT!
The music and extra noise is really not needed here. Those machines speak for themselves without help. A very fine aircraft that you have.
As its got a 4 bladed prop,I'm assuming its been re-engined with a Pratt and Whitney. I hate it when they do that to the Sea Fury.
Lots of trouble with the Centaurus apparently. Very expensive to maintain... but I’m in agreement, I hate them using different engines 🤭
OK Benters, get off your easy chair, go buy 6 of the remaining Centaurus motors, have them overhauled, and offer them for sale to those Sea Fury owners. Otherwise, clam up.

Until 4:04, the pilot has a yellow helmet on. But from that moment on, the video shows a pilot with a grey helmet. So either it's another pilot or it's another flight. I can't imagine he changed helmets while flying.
I would have preferred just engine sounds without the music spoiled the video

philipbrailey thats what happens when these ego charged jockeys take these old patched up planes out and fly them like they stole them, waaaay too many are crashed each year !!!
