Interesting video. I just bought an old used John Deere 435 round baler. I just have a few acres I'm going to bale for the neighbor across the road. I need to go over the baler and make sure it is ready first though.
@@AndyFromm I'll have to look for that. I have some work to do on my baler. I've never been around one and never worked on one before. I know I have a part i need to take off and reweld because their welding skills were not very good. I also need to replace some belts on the side and possibly some chains.
hey andy , good vid,,,,i really am amased by the countryside in the midwest,,,,,how the fields just keep going,,,,i live in nova scotia canada,,,,,a thirty acre field ,is big here ! ya we have the prarries ,in our west, they amase my too,,, Does your brother keep any livestock,,or sticks to grains ?
Thanks! There is land here & there that is quite hilly that is just pasture ground but there is a good amount of ground just like seen on here. Right now my brother grows field corn, soy beens, canning pees & sweet corn. About 35 years ago he raised hogs, I have just a few livestock myself. There has been some news lately that makes the peas & sweet corn future unsure around here due to a few del monte plants closing.
I have a few goats & cattle. My brother had hoggms when i was little but now he has field corn & soybeens. Not sure the future of it but he did raise sweet corn & canning pees but the local del monte foods closed this summer
