Oh my good giddy aunt, you have just made my day!!! From the hidden gem of Talacre to Rhyl (and beyond) is now on my bucket list and has just heightened my desire of a pipe dream to retire to the area which is growing ever nearer and my passion for my mountain e-bike. Thank you so much for sharing this, with great love from the East Midlands!
@@mcycle24 I've been on holiday to Talacre ever since i was a little boy and enjoyed every time and I've been to Rhyl as well. To the sun centre. on the sky tower. To the fair (the sky tower isnt working anymore and the fair isnt there now) and we went to a few of the shops
I'll be coming on the 1st November...any good routes you recommend for 1 novice 1 experienced around the North Wales area...we will be based in Rhyl but have freedom to stay elsewhere
Cycled this path today as i have done a few times from Rhyl to Talacre & back it's a great little route. One day though ill ride to talacre to start and then go all the way to Llandudno which would be an interesting long ride along the coast.
Of course at the moment just between the new footbridge and Asda in Rhyl that stretch of coast always has problems with Sand so i end up walking part of it as bikes and sand ain't a good combination trying to ride through. I could just skip and keep to the road till Asda but you miss out a good coast. The closest i got to LLandudno was Rhos-On-Sea and had to cut short my journey and come back but i am hoping soon i will do it again but this time all the way to Llandudno and possibly end up in Conwy if i don't tackle the Great Orm for the first time on a bike. Only part i dislike about that route is sand and that hill you have to climb just after the caravan site past Abergele (the one that takes you over a tight green bridge) which is rather too steep for my liking. Other than that it's a great route.
Brill Vid! Loved it, You picked the nice n easy ride, with the end on that nice expensive bridge with a mast in the middle (council are so proud of the bridge as its on the North Wales Coastal Path, ( they tell you it, on a sign as you walk onto the bridge!). Ah you did not do the hard one! when you turned left by the ice cream shop in Talacre, and off you go to Rhyl, you should have gone up onto the embankment and turned right to Flint, actually a nice ride, BUT as you comer off the Point of Ayre colliery, and attempt to follow the NWCP, through the underpass (under the railway) you get fully clogged with 30 years of waste water? there's no way across? (the council should sort it but are too damned lazy & stupid) and this is on the North Wales Coastal Path? Please go, and make vid to shame the council? (not sure which council) love your vids. I am sure you capturing Talacre to Flint or beyond would be excellent, and show the underpass on the much vaunted NWCP, they need their arse kicked.
I did plenty of climbing on this day as I rode from my home on the Wirral and back ! The bridge had only just been put in when I did this ride so I just filmed the most scenic route that people might be interested to watch. Also limited by the GoPro battery life at the time so couldn’t show all the routes I did, Thanks for watching.👍
Hi I have rode this path many times as I will again when I holiday in the point of ayr holiday park in two weeks time and a beautiful ride it is thanks for posting very best wishes Brian

I've ridden to Llandudno and Conwy as well , Nice route but can get covered in sand at certain times of the year !
