  • This fly i started to tie and use back in start of 2000's. It has proven itself to be a very valuable pattern in both rivers and lakes when fish feed on adult midges and other dipteras. I tie it on TMC 102Y size 15-21 and also in two colors.
    Materials used:
    Hook: TMC 102y size 15-21.
    Thread: Thin like Veevus 14/0.
    Body: Dubbed superfine or silk/biot.
    Wing: TMC Aero Dry Wing in Tan or White.
    Hackle: Nat Brown (khaki) or Wild Mallard (Dk. grey) spun in loop.
    Its of great importance to select proper cdc for this fly. For smaller size you need thinner fibers and always use center fibers from a feather with good stiffness. The more "downy" it looks worse the quality is.
