Back in the days when I was a Mountain/Adventure Guide I created packages that had map reveals in them. It took a lot of tricks! And yet it never looked and performed as I wanted. Fast forward to the present and I am able to use a Video Editor to create map reveals. Although they are far better than yesteryear, they are not quite what I desire. YAY for Doodly! Effects creation, used in conjunction with a Video Editor, was why I purchased Doodly. Doing a map reveal is a perfect example! Thanks for sharing your project. p.s. I've found the same. Doodly is designed for something, and it does what it does really well. But when you incorporate it into some editing, it can add a lot to videos.
@@KimAllenAnima-Saurus how does the editing process work. Is it mainly to sync sound in post production. Or are you editing your Doodly due to its inability to perform and execute in Doodly.?
@@djhemirukahemisphere8893 I mainly use it to sync audio to an action I want to happen at a certain point. Doodly does do it, but I can see my audio curves clearer in Resolve. I can also stack audio easier (voice over and BG music, or multiple VO), in something like Resolve.
Thanks. But It immediately shows some serious shortcomings of the software. (1) project based working --> missing tagging and folders to categorize your work. (2) Simply be ably to draw lines - straight and freehand.
@@jaineelgosalia7096 It really depends on what you are wanting to achieve. Doodly has some Arrow assets that you can use overtop a map image to highlight a spot on a map. For my example, I wanted to follow a specific path, so in a different software (Gimp) I made all the arrows as individual .png files and imported them into Doodly, then placed them and made custom paths for them. Hope that helps
I just bought Doodly - $67 and had it upgraded to Enterprise for another $97... - for now, my wife will kill me... but if I use this to generate profit, well, I'm all good then.... Thanks for your tutorial... hehe

Once they are drawn in Gimp, in a seperate layer, export them as a .png file. Then import it into Doodly.

How did you make the orange tracks?
The Orange tracks were made with a freeware program called Gimp. www.gimp.org

The hardest part of making money with the software is getting clients. I found using the software easy, but getting the work was harder
Does doodly/toonly has maps in it? 67$ lifetime package?
I am planing to buy it but can't make out what all is there stored in it
It doesn't have any specific maps. If there is something specific that you need is best to either request it or make it yourself.
