It should be available to everyone using opiates if any kind. I don't use the 0hen patch anymore and I'm so glad. Even putting one on carefully can be deadly. Regarding safe drug injection: As an ID-physician from Switzerland (offering this for almost 30 years now), I see many patients whose life has probably been saved by this, having a job and a normal life. Fun fact: The abuse of opioids has not significantly increased. Overall, our experiences are very good.
I’m for these sites however do you think there might be an issue regarding people who will genuinely abuse it in the manner many opponents of it suggests? I remember seeing one story where one guy went to a site to get an injection and then a couple of days later brought his friends as if they were going out on the town to party. I would imagine strong regulations would be desired here and that the only people who should be helped are people who genuinely want to eventually get off drugs. Then some people have to be rejected if it becomes blatantly obvious that they’re just exploiting the services. What if the person driving in their car with their mask on has COVID and a baby in the back seat that you can't see? Regarding safe drug injection: As an ID-physician from Switzerland (offering this for almost 30 years now), I see many patients whose life has probably been saved by this, having a job and a normal life. Fun fact: The abuse of opioids has not significantly increased. Overall, our experiences are very good.
I’m for these sites however do you think there might be an issue regarding people who will genuinely abuse it in the manner many opponents of it suggests? I remember seeing one story where one guy went to a site to get an injection and then a couple of days later brought his friends as if they were going out on the town to party.
I would imagine strong regulations would be desired here and that the only people who should be helped are people who genuinely want to eventually get off drugs. Then some people have to be rejected if it becomes blatantly obvious that they’re just exploiting the services. Then at the very least you can bat away the opponents completely who complain about these sites just being enablers for drug users who have no desire to get off the drug.

Yeah I’ve become more defensive of boomers recently. What if the person driving in their car with their mask on has COVID and a baby in the back seat that you can't see? This is one of plenty of reasonable reasons to wear a mask in a car, seemingly by yourself. People love to feel so smug about others based on assumptions made in seconds with limited or no information. Mask + car + maybe alone = Insanity? Really? You can't think of ANY other reasonable explanations other than the person is insane? I know it was a joke, but it still demonstrates really simplistic thinking.
I think the people I see wearing masks use it for a comfort mechanism, and the pandemic made them feel alright about it 😂

I used to watch Maher on Fridays years ago. But I haven't been able to stomach even a minute of that show for years. I think I was just less informed when I could watch before and once I realized how ridiculous, hypocritical, and dishonest he was, it became so insufferable that I couldn't do it anymore. And unfortunately there is a decent size audience of people that think he is the intelligent anti mainstream comedian who "tells it like it is.." What a joke😅 He isn't even funny either. Maher sucks, but there are tons of ridiculous stances leftist have, and tons of people who aren't MAGA Republicans who realize this.
