It's people like you that leave out important info and just focus on one breed that brings fear to the ignorant masses. Even a Chihuahua can be aggressive and can still do damage.
One the list are:
Rottweiler, Wolf hybrid, Siberian husky, German shepherd, Dobermann, Bullmastiff, Alaskan malamute, Boxer and Great Dane.
All very energetic dogs that need special attention. Both dogs and owners need to be well socialaized and well trained. The problem is owners are incompatible with the breed they get.

My cousin has a blue pit bull and he is a big ass baby. Boss like to give you a hug, when you enter my cousin home. And Boss is quite heavy as well.

Majority of people don't own the real American pit bull terrier. The media and people who lacks information about the breed. Are the ones that label everything a pit bull. Pit bulls are dogs that came from the pit. In other words that fought in the pit. That's how the name pit bull came about. The name came from a dog man and Chauncey Bennett. Because of what those did in the pit. Most of dogs u see on this channel, in the news are not pit bulls. Just mixed dogs

I have to admit that I was 1 of those people, until I started watching the DODO channel. People train pitbulls to be aggressive. They are pure sweethearts. 💖💖💖💖💖

I love dogs and I love having them... but when my 12yr old dog passed away recently, I suddenly don't want to have dogs. The sad reality is dogs have a short lifespan and we do outlive them. It's been more than a month since I lost my dog and I'm still crying buckets of tears.... I break down and cry when some things reminds me of my dog. It's so sad and heartbreaking. RIP Meaty.... your video made me smile... its so heartwarming... but when someone mentioned that ur gone already... I cried.

Oh I have experienced the "walk across the street early" and "walk 5 foot circles around " when out with my boys. They don't do anything wrong or look crazy or anything and most of the people in my area make it an exaggerated point to keep as much distance between themselves and my boys as possible.
I try to see it as a problem with them, not us, but it still hurts. I don't really like children (it took me years to be able to admit that), so I get it, some people just really don't like dogs. However, I would never try to make a parent feel like their children are terrible by blatantly walking out of their way, in an exaggerated way.
You have a point. But some people are just really scared of dogs (Of course it is different if they have a bia against a certain breed of dog). They can't help it. I skate so I make sure I get as far away from the dogs I can as to not spook/scare them. Apparently a lot of dogs gets aggressive towards my skateboard.
@@nikkibrown1703 smart move- yes, some dogs are scared of skateboard, scooter, or bicycle sounds, but others see you as a chance to chase something. People get scared when a dog chases them, but their objective isn't really to attack or maul. It's an instinct that's been bred into them for hunting and retrieving for over 3000 years, but they also have been selectively bred to coexist with humans which means (most likely since there's always exceptions) at the end of the chase, there's a lot of barking and a happy greeting. Dogs are suckers for a good chase.
I never understood fear of animals of almost any species. I'm like a female Dr. Doolittle who talks to them. Animals usually either approach me or warm up to me quickly.
If i would see a lady walking with group of pitbulls then i would to maintain a distance too. First , because you may not be able to control them . Second , they can be dangerous . Mine friend was chased by pittie , he barely escaped.
@@gautam6405 I'm not going to try to convert you, but I'll give you tips of safety. Your friend performed the cardinal no-no I mentioned above- DO NOT RUN. That dog (of any breed) WILL chase. Stay calm even if the dog approaches. If the dog snarls or barks, don't get alarmed. Stay put, but check your posture- don't face the dog head-on. Stand at a diagonal as a sign of compromise. Dogs are very HIGHLY SOCIAL creatures using body language and perception of energy to communicate. I was only joking about talking to animals. I don't. I use calm yet firm energy and slow, deliberate movement.
To be more precise with you- I don't just interact with dogs a lot. I actually catch the strays and looses in my area (no pay, I do it out of the goodness of my heart for the dogs) to turn in to local no-kill shelter. I started this back in 2013 with NO EXPERIENCE WHATSOEVER. Since 2013, I've received no formal training but have successfully caught 35 dogs I've spotted running around my neighborhood- mostly pit bulls. How is it that a woman with no experience catch all these strange dogs with no training?

Disclaimer: I did get bit 3 times, but they were not attacks (attacks are hold & maul or repetitive bites). A chihuahua, a German Shepherd, and a Pitbull. All of them had reasons- chihuahua and pitbull were fear of being picked up to soon after capture, German Shepherd was food aggression since I fed her on the spot since she was a walking skeleton.
I hope this helped you understand the mindset a little better. But the only true path to understanding is interacting with them. Pitbulls are a very social species with strong ties to humans. It's a shame humans let this great breed down so often.

By instinct I’m a very nervous anxious person and the thought of allowing an animal like a cat or a dog get their mouth that close to your face and not even think of if they wanted to, they could literally kill you or at least harm you very badly. I’ve never broken a bone or been stung by a bee. I’m absolutely terrified of going to the dentist and have a pill phobia. I’m just all over the place. We never really had dogs growing up, but we’d always get barked at by dogs when simply going on a walk. I’ve never really socialized much with dogs and with a stranger, you walk by them and it’s no big deal they won’t run up to you, bark at you, try to tear your clothes off with their mouths. I grew up in a lower income neighborhood and pretty much nobody trained their dogs and for the most part they were mostly back yard yapping dogs that weren’t particularly friendly towards children. My mom’s next door neighbor has a dog in her back yard, pretty sure they’re an outside dog and I’ve never not once seen that dog being taken out on a walk. I don’t understand how if we’re on the other side of the fence on OUR side of the lawn, why the dog barks at us. My parents live there, we’re not strangers, we’re not intruders, we’re not even on the dog’s side of the fence. And growing up, our neighbor’s only child was killed by one of their own family dogs. She got her tubes tied after delivering their baby girl and in four months there wasn’t a baby anymore. I absolutely HATED walking past her house. It was like 6 big dogs in her front gate that would jump up and bark the MOMENT we even remotely got near their house. I couldn’t help but thinking how horrible it would be if they somehow were able to get out or their owners didn’t secure the door properly. And there were always stray dogs that would walk around the neighborhood. Dogs just really scare me. And seeing so many reports here in Houston about how people’s own dogs kill them or innocent people even children getting mauled doesn’t help. Last year a husky and another dog killed their owner in her backyard, got her by the neck and that was it. She was like in her 50s I believe. I just can’t.
