My debut playback solo in Tamil, I remember being all of 16 years old when I recorded Adi Thozhi for Vidyasagar sir. As I did my schooling in Secunderabad, I had come down to Chennai for the recording. I remember being quite nervous as it was my first experience singing in a new language & bring recorded.
But, with the presence of almost the entire core crew of Thendral movie, including the director Thangar Bachchan to encourage me, the recording went without a hitch. It turned out to be one of my most memorable recording sessions & I'll always be grateful to Vidyasagar sir for guiding me through. ✨
