In your article it says you paid $46 to fill it up and that would be more than gas. I disagree. If you had to fill up an suv that size it would cost closer to $60. Telluride has an 18.8 gallon tank which is about the size of this. Good review but just wanted to clarify that
I just responded to a reader about this, so here's my response: "As for the charging price, the $46 charge gave back 180 miles of range to the EV9 (assuming I get that in real-world driving). Let's take the Telluride AWD's gas tank (18.8 gallons) and its abysmal combined 20 mpg fuel economy, it would take filling up 9 gallons of gas to reach the same 180 miles. With regular unleaded gas at the rate of $3.31/gallon, it would cost under $30 for the Telluride to presumably get 180 miles as well."
And they left something else out. 180 miles in a ev is not just 180 it's like 220 to 150 miles it all depends on the way u drive if u coast drive then you can get 220 (numbers are not exact) if u are a lead foot then you can get 150
@@JohnVelascoOK-now tell me how much it would cost you to fuel up your Telluride in your driveway at home at night, and compare those numbers please? Oh wait, uh, you can't....and that would destroy your whole clickbait narrative. Oops
The thing is you compare it with a Toyota corolla, I have a camry 2012 4 cylinders 2.5L depending on the price per gallon I spend between $50 to $65 on 15 gallons per tank
I saw you bitching about how much it cost to charge your EV9 on Google. You said that it cost more than filling up your gas car, have you ever filled up your gas car in the middle of nowhere and found out that it cost twice as much as it did filling it up in town? Same situation here, if you charge the EV at your house is going to be considerably less than charging it at a supercharger or EV station. Don’t read more into this than there is… I have owned an EV going on for years and you can count on one hand how many times I’ve used a supercharger. It gets charged at home on economy rate and runs 4 to 6 dollars for 180 miles of range. maybe an EV is not for you, have you thought of that? Stick with gas….

Comparing a Corolla vs a 7 person SUV in not honest. I pay $15 charging at home a month in CA. I have 9.6kw solar and have three Teslas plus use the AC.
Do you agree with John? Would you spend $70k on the Kia EV9?

@@JohnVelasco thanks for that clarification. Never hear of ev charging being that expensive before. What state?

Looks pretty interesting actually.

Did you read the article? I explicitly said what you mention, charging at home will save the most money.

Read your article. I'd used DCFC solely for long distance trips.

Read your article. You could have had this charging banter on here
