It is an urban legend that that guy, Delbert McClinton, taught John Lennon how to play the harmonica. They did meet though and John may have picked up a few things from him. But Lennon knew how to play long before he met Delbert. I too didn't know who Paul Thorn is, but for him to be on the stage with legends like Elvin Bishop and Delbert McClinton he is pretty danged good. I believe this jam proves it too.
