- Just a live drive through of Rietvlei Dam on a busy Saturday afternoon. We were hoping to go bass fishing but it was hopeless since there were only about 3 spots open. Super busy after Sa moved to lockdown level 1.

Hi Stephen, eerlik vang ons bass oral langs die riete. Maar as ek moes kies sal ek se die laaste paar spots aan die einde van die pad, en die klipbank area en sy omliggende spots. En dan is die chalet kant natuurlik fantasties vir bass maar dan moet jy in 'n chalet bly...
Dankie wardeer dit baie , gaan dit n "go" gee as ek weer daar n draai maak . As ek daarheen gaan , gaan ons maar vir karp . Ek voel ek jaag die bass weg met die in en uit loopery .
Ons gooi die karp stokke in en dan terwyl ons wag probeer ons bass vang in die spots om ons. Probeer dit gerus, hulle is soms moeilik maar daar is monsters in Rietvlei...

People catching 15 + carps 1.5kg a day for last two weeks
So the challenge isn't to catch fish anymore, the challenge is to find a spot :-)

Agreed, but it's not always like that, Rietvlei has just been exceptionally busy after lockdown. The fishing has also been great so people flocked there. It should be a totally different vibe over the next few months :-)
