Wait so what is the difference between 50g and 50e ? The datasheet looks almost identical ? Edit. 50G has more number of charge cycles before losing capacity. Anyway 50G is either unavailable or twice the price of 50E in my country, so it seems to be worth it to just go for 50E.
Battery geeks seem to agree that most of the time the pecking order for cells is Panasonic > Samsung > LG. LG has had some bad batches cells in the last few years and it has sullied their reputation. You usually see it in the pricing too, cheapest brand cell using battery builders opt for LG and the most expensive use Panasonic almost exclusively. Samsung is probably the best for budget minded who still want longevity from their cells. Charge/Diacharge rates and avoiding charge state extremes still matters greatly no matter what brand.
Hello man, great video! I am using 0,115C charge current, what do you think, it is better for lifespan of the 50G? Can I expect more than 1000 cycles? :)
Should I use these batteries for a 6s2p pack for 7" drone ? I calculated the weight = 840g. Where the 18650 @6s2p = 528g. That's 312g more if I use the 21700. Which one you think I should use ?
you have to do more math to solve this. if you want flight time and can afford the weight, find how many mAh per gram for each cell you compare. you could also do amps per gram and go backwards from what you have now. cell type plays a large role in this. say a molicel p42a vs a samsung 50e
as I'm sure you are aware please make sure you do your soldering right. Its not the recommended way. But if you must, go very hot and make it fast on the negative end. Like under 4 seconds. I would spray/pour 99percent IPA on immediately after to cool it. Heat is the killer of the chemistry and lower for longer is not the better way. I use a jewelry tig welder and a robot for welding. I used a spot welder for 40k welds by hand and you can get one for fairly cheap if you plan on more than one or two builds. @@PerchEagle
Thank you for your job, you saved time for many people !

How does the lishen 2170la stack up to the 50g ? I can't find any comparison. Which would you go with ?
Good morning, do you know the difference between 21700-50G and 21700-50 GB. Thanks in advance.
If you scan the code you will get the batch/lot # which is also the mfg date.
hi, samsung 50G standard 1.6A charger battery takes a long time to charge, can I quickly charge it by quickcharge or power delivery?
Hello, are the LG M50 batteries higher quality than Samsung 50E?
50E looks to have better continuous load

@zachniedfeldt I bought 36 molicel p28a from USA. But didn't start soldering them. I'm waiting for my uv80 flux.
