Maybe we can finally get rid of Tomlin after Ulbrich coaches circles around him in Pittsburgh.
A couple of things; first, I was shocked as anyone else who found out that Saleh got fired, but he had over 56+ games to show us something. 2) as much as I preferred to have Hackett gone too, having Ulbricht as the coach does keep a certain level of continuity. And finally, Evan is right changing coaches mid season has yet to work in the NFL, it doesn't mean it can't happen.
It's a shame that Saleh didn't work out. We all wanted him to succeed. I'm glad Woody took some action and did something, but what does this do for the failing miserable offense?

I realize the Jets remain hamstrung with Hackett as OC, but I truly have an odd feeling that Ulbrich's going to mature into an elite coach.
What kills me is they contradict themselves. Saleh had no role in play calling yet this was a stupid move. How? Someone please explain to me how getting rid of a HC who not only ran his mouth with the BS all gas no breaks, the I'm keeping receipts to him talking shit about his defense, B.Hall and Rodgers publicly is not a good move. He talked shit about players who we need to resign when that day comes.

I just don't see how this changes anything. The offense is the problem, so you fire the guy in charge of the defense, and replace with basically the same guy in the DC just doesn't make any sense to me. Aaron will absolutely not have some random first time head coach tell him what to do. This just fucks with the locker room and makes them all nervous thinking that they are gonna be fired next. Like I get it if they were 0-5 and needed a desperation play but they are 1 game under .500. Aaron is the problem and firing saleh won't change that.

Interim head coaches almost never work out, so you are essentially just throwing away the season. You commit to bringing him back this year only for 5 games before firing him? You knew exactly the kind of head coach he was for years. The only difference this year is Aaron Rodgers is playing at QB this season, so it's safe to assume he hated his coaching, and wanted him gone.

I'm sick of hearing the 20-36 narrative for Saleh's firing. If that's the case, then Woody should've fired Saleh after last season! Coaches are supposed to put players in positions to win. In the last 2 games, Aaron Rodgers had the game in his hands in the final minutes and choked! The defense has been doing their job. The offense is the problem.....yet Nathaniel Hackett still has his job and Saleh is gone. This is proof that Aaron Rodgers is second in command after the owner. The organization is a total mess!!
