While I want to support the companies in the crafting community, I don’t want to go broke doing it. I love that you and Justine are refocusing on what brought us to card making initially - being creative. Thank you so much!
Yes! I think we’d all love the idea of unlimited resources to support craft companies with and build our stash at the same time, win-win 😂 But it makes sense to support and spend in ways that respect your budget and needs. I think there’s additional ways to offer support even that are free like introducing a friend to the hobby, recommending companies to buy from, sharing your makes on social media and tagging companies.
Got here via Justine, just watched her for the first time also. I’m not going to turn round and look at my 12 x12 hoard, the guilt I feel is horrid. I stopped buying about 4 years ago, I now need to use it! Thank you 🙋🏽♀️👍🏽
You are now officially my crafty therapist! How much do I owe you? Love your content. Keep it up. I’ve been telling my scrapbook friends about your channel. I’m not a card maker but still get so much from your videos. 😄
Where have you been all my patterned paper pad collecting life! So glad I found you...you hit all the points in my mind set...Thank you, I’m now off to get stared on my new ‘use that pad’ life..😎
I had to give myself a "rule" this past year that I'm not allowed to buy any new patterned paper until I use up a good portion of what I have. One thing I've been doing with it is making envelopes. They are so pretty!!!!
Yassss!!!! I have just discovered that 12x12 is the BEST for making envelopes!!!! I hadn’t thought about using the patterned paper for it too though!!! Ingenious! I love you!!!!❤️😆
I am a paper junkie. My collection got of control. A year and a half ago, I saw short story on a YT ad about a little girl who got cancer and was taken to St Judes by her parents. Her mom said that one of her favorite times of day was getting her mail. She was getting cards and letters from people all over the country. Light bulb moment. There are so many kids in hospitals. Get busy and start making cards for those kiddos. It will bring a smile to little faces.
I admit, I have a few sheets that I will never use, and I'm okay with that: they are art to me, bring me joy to look at, and maybe someday I'll frame them for others to enjoy. The most freeing realization for me was that "it's just paper - anything you can do to plain paper, you can do to printed paper." You can cut it, emboss it, stamp or even draw on it - it can be a shortcut to a mixed-media look with less effort. Just watched a video where a lady took 12x12 sheets that were obviously designed for scrapbook layouts, flipped them face down and cut into 4 card fronts. Looking at the whole page, you couldn't imagine that there was any way to get a good look for a smaller card, but once cut, they looked great.
I wish there was a 💕 love option, in addition to the like button! I have learned so much from your channel. Your collaboration with Justine has been a big eye opener today. Thanks!
I love how you took on the psychology of this. I recently went through all my craft stuff and was looking at all the patterned paper I’ve bought... I know i originally thought nearly all of the things you’ve mentioned here. I realized what was the point of owning patterned paper if i wasn’t going to use it? So i started. I took on some fun cards and ended up with lots of scraps that i used to make some of the most beautiful cards, most of which i wasn’t even sure would turn out... but they did! This is such a great way of looking at it. Thank you for sharing these alternate thoughts. I hope everyone gets a chance to choose their own adventure and makes something beautiful as a result.
Hi Erin! Thank you so much! Totally, I hope the same for everyone!!!! It’s amazing what we can hold ourselves back from or encourage ourselves on to do. I love that you went for it when you wanted to with a change in perspective!
Justine sent me here. What a great pair! Sevetal years ago I actually purchased some bags of patterned paper scraps from a garage sale! I set a goal: How many different ways can I use these? Since that success, I applied the same goal for paper pads, as well as other crating supplies. The real goal is letting go and releasing your creativity!
Yes!!! Nail on the head right there. If someone wants to use the paper, let loose. If they want to make with other supplies, the. neglect the paper for that. Whatever frees you to make how you want!
So, you're obviously a trained mental health professional! Thank you for helping me/us see the options we didn't realize we had! Another thing we can do with patterned paper? Paper Craft! I just recently discovered a love of creating notebooks & altering composition books, etc. Now I feel a lot less guilty about using my paper because it's not "just" a card!
Hi Penny, love that idea. What a great thing to make and gift, too! I’m actually just very into learning and sharing about life coaching and thought work!
Great video! Love how you gave ideas to overcome silly thoughts that keep us from using some of our stash. So happy to have found you via Justine’s channel. 😊
Thank you, so glad you came over to watch! Our brain is just always trying to keep us safe and in this case our paper 😂, so it makes sense we think these things. But it is kinda comical when we really take a good look at what’s it’s doing!
I used to have this problem until I just had too much - in my case it was stickers. I had stickers I no longer liked or that wouldn’t come off of the release paper any longer. I realized right then I needed to use the things I loved - so I got joy in using them. It also helped me be more selective with what/how much I bought because I didn’t want to be stuck with a bunch of supplies I no longer liked.
Justine sent me! Thank you, I'm guilty of every one of the points you made, and haven't made the leap to solutions, but my boxes and drawers of papers are now creating their own problems - I may have found you just at the right time. 🌻
Hi Christina! I’ve found that tipping point in my home, too. I’ve started some big time purging of kids items and just all the things I don’t really need. I’m loving the freedom and easier cleaning that’s coming from it! Purging has been a total process though, little at a time as I gain more confidence in letting go.
@@inkhillrevival289 It can be difficult, can't it! I've made a start today, after seeing your video, and have made a bagful of paper for my neighbour's small children, to take to school. It was easier than part with it for a good reason, than if it had gone into the recycling bin. 😇 A slightly smug angel...
Came here from Justine's video. Can definitely relate to the scarcity mindset. I have no problem using pretty paper when I have multiples but when I have just one left it becomes really hard to use.
I get it! Even just noticing that and paying attention when it happens is a way more powerful practice than you’d think! Thanks for popping over to watch!
I'm soooo happy I found your channel. I'm a craft stash hoarder, though I'm in recovery 😅 The "this isn't going to be good enough" and "the card is just gonna end up in the trash" are my two main problems. I am TRYING though to focus more on actually enjoying the process of making my cards. Didn't turn out perfect? Great, that gives me a reason to redo it! Afraid it won't be appreciated and just thrown away? Most often, not true but also 100% out of my control!
That’s such amazing work to be doing! A hobby can totally just be about you, your enjoyment and growth. And the fact that we sometimes get to give a card too, is just a plus. You might want to check out this video about process over results ua-cam.com/video/niRIMyhB4QA/v-deo.html Thanks so much for watching and sharing your experience 😘
Just a great mindset to have. I love your sofa with the patterned paper that you shaded! So cute! I'm kind of new at this so I don't have too too much stash but I'm not going to hesitate to use it from now on! TFS!
Well I feel ✨attacked✨ LOL. But seriously this is SOOOO good. Love the mindset/thought model approach! Also, your filmography skills and style 🙌🏻 always love your videos
I like the "choose your own adventure"! That sounds like fun, and you offered some great suggestions in this video! ( I liked the hexagons made out of scraps!). I have a feeling I am going to get a lot out of your collaboration with Justine! ❤️👍💪😎
Thank you, Jane! It’s wonderful to really enjoy what you invest in. Still doesn’t happen for me every time, but that’s ok, too. Learning more about style and preferences every purchase.
Found your channel via Justine Hovey. Love this video. I have literally hundreds of single sheets of patterned paper and dozens of paper pads in both 12" and 6" sizes. I can really relate to this video and I will look at papers differently in future. Thank you. Subscribing.
I have so much paper that I am thankful for all these tips to use them. What I intended when I bought them hasn't happened . I appreciate your minset and have added your subscription to my list. TFS !
This is so me! I'm not a card maker, but I enjoy paper crafting, and everything you said here is my entire mindset. Definitely need to re-evaluate and reset. Thank you.
Super great, thank you. We all need this pep talk. Me so much I watched it again and commented, again, lol! Include A Thank You is the queen of pattern paper, very creative with it and her stuff looks handmade and unique and interesting, it's like finding little treasurer.
There needs to be a support group for paper hoarders. "HI, my name is Nannette. And I'm a paper hoarder ". I worked in a scrapbook store for a couple years. Like an alcoholic working in a bar. I used to by pads just for a couple sheets. It's been 2 years since I bought a pad. I try to only buy a sheet or 2 when I need. Not want. I still have bought a little more because of want not need. I did a purge a year ago. I have a local nonprofit craft thrift store. I still have more than I will ever use. Thanks for the tips. I like the ones how to use in projects.
@@inkhillrevival289 I try not to walk in the store when I donate. Too tempting. But, it is a great place to get close to my heart(Dots) and stamping up stuff.
I started "collecting" (much nicer word then hoarding) pattern paper. When I realized I was doing the same thing with pp that I've done with clothing (buying but not using) I knew something had to change before my craft closet got too big. So I put myself on a spending freeze until my "collection" is gone. My motivation - when the last pad is used up, I get to buy one new shiny, spot on trend, pack ! 😏😉 Thanks for keeping me/us motivated 🤗
@@inkhillrevival289 indeed ! That & the absolutely free feeling of happiness I experience each time I use up a pad of paper. Which, far & away, feels WAY better than that cruddy feeling I get when I look at an unused pad. Who knew ? 😀
Hi! I got your video through Justine's channel. You both are incredibly talented & inspirational! I really enjoy what I learn from you..thank you for all the tips 🙂. Maureen
I love working with gorgeous patterned paper...and I have loads 😱! I have really cut back on my crafting spending and am using what I have, and I so love to hear of bloggers using what they have already, instead of SO many new products showcasing! Thank you, love your videos 💖
Mine is “I’m not skilled enough to use my fav collections bc it would be a total waste/I haven’t earned the right to use that product yet”.. except there will always be a whole slew of new favs to use as you get more skilled !
Hey Rebecca, oh I get that! Yes absolutely, that’s a great alternate thought! I’d also want to question what is good enough, do I want my paper in a way “judging” my skill level or do I want to use that paper to grow my skills 🙌
Thank you for such a practical look on why I may not be using my patterned paper! I started Cardmaking only using this paper and when I discovered techniques to make my own I quit using it. I am going to rethink this and put my pretty papers to use!
Just popped over from Justines channel. Thanks so much for the insight. I really have alot too. Guess I will be crafting this weekend. Thanks Justine and thanks to you too kerry. Now subscribed to seeing more of your posts. 🦘🐨
I remember when I first started making cards and I did not even want to touch regular solid CS till I had my prototype done on copy paper....my "Yoda" must have said to me a million times..."It is JUST paper! Use it!" Esp if I was trying a new technique. So imagine how I felt about DP....I do have a lot now...but one thing I love a lot has been learning how to use the scraps so I feel like I am maximizing using the whole sheet. Really helps me be ok with cutting into it. But I definitely ID with the idea of feeling like once it is gone that's it...I still wrestle with that one. I just keep telling myself there will be more pretty paper tomorrow in the store. This is a great vid. I am happy Justine told me about you! :D PS I did learn to take out the sheets in a pad I don't like. I don't force myself to use them. I make packs and give them away to friends. It isn't that they are ugly-just not my thing. I have seen them use them in great ways I never would have thought of :)
So much yes, Margot!! I totally relate to the practicing and prototypes. I’m learning more and more to loosen that up with thoughts like I’m in this for the experience and I bought this to enjoy. And it’s not about the end result. And the reason it’s starting to work is I believe those thoughts. Finding thoughts that work for you is absolutely key. If you don’t really believe you’re gonna find paper as beautiful as this particular sheet, then thinking there’s more beautiful paper won’t help and lead you to cut it. I love your tips about parting with some of the sheets and making awesome scrap cards!
Just 2 days ago I was trying (and mostly failing) to purge my patterned paper stash. Thanks for this video! Needed this. Found you through Justine’s link. Now off to look at my ever growing stash with a more critical eye.
FYI my pair down action so far has been to remove a page or two from the pad if it’s a pattern I’m not sure I would use. If I’m not inspired to use it then I likely won’t but if I reduce what I have to start it’s easier to use. If not it’s just a paper you declutter down the road when you only have 1 page your saying no to. Good to do over and over again.
OMG THIS IS WONDERFUL AND TRUE! Found you from Justine referral - needed to hear this! Must use it, give away BUT I must change my mind on why I am buying and adjust that thought process. THANK YOU FOR THIS POST
I started cutting into a foiled black, and white Christmas 12x12 pad. It has gold and silver as well. I designed a slimline card for some of the patterns, but was trying to only use 1 of each pattern. I paused on that, but when I finish my mother's day cards, I am going to cut ALL of that pad. Thank you!
Jesse, yes!! That’s super exciting! It’s so freeing to live in a way where things aren’t always on the verge of running out. Like we know companies are gonna keep putting out gorgeous papers we’d love to have. How awesome to have drawer space for it 😂
@@inkhillrevival289 I gave up my craftroom to have family move in. Space is precious, but its still hard to cut into ALL of the beautiful paper! I don't have a huge hoard of patterned paper, but I want to use ALL of it before we move next year. I needed this, and I thank you!
Thank you!! I totally had to question my own thoughts about patterned paper for these cards. That one was was good evidence for me to see 😅 thanks so much for watching and your kind comment!
Wow. You are in my head. I love patterned paper and don’t really want to part with it. I have lots but I do use it and keep one style of sheet for me. I should let others live it too so I will make a goal for myself to get creative and use it. Glad Justine Hovey sent me.look forward to seeing more of your videos
One of the things I do with patterned paper is frame it and hang it up. Once I embraced that aspect of my personality I got so much more joy out of dsp and wrapping paper. I LOVE that kind of material and seeing it all the time makes my heart happy. I think for many years I was bogged down by the idea that “other people” don’t do this. But I like it. And it offers inspiration for surface designs on paper and fabric which is probably my favorite creative activity. I keep the same number of frames and rotate the paper. That keeps my walls from overwhelming me while allowing me to keep many patterns. It also frees me to use the rest of the paper since I have saved a piece. The other problem I had with dsp was buying a pad of paper because I liked a few designs. I still have this problem with stamps and dies. There are always designs in any pad of paper that I don’t really care for. Gel plates took care of this issue for me. You can print on patterned paper too. In fact you can completely obliterate the design on the paper though I like to leave at least a little of the original pattern. Then I can do what I do with dsp normally: cards, scrapbooking, wall decor ;), journaling. Another wonderful use for dsp is envelopes and envelope liners. I love envelope liners. It’s so nifty when you open up an envelope and the inside is different than the outside. Sweet bonus. Plus for some reason I don’t mind putting a pattern I don’t like that much on the inside of an envelope. I never thought of skill disparaging as being part of a scarcity mindset. I see your point though. I tend to think like this: I’m not good enough to use this. “Good enough” can mean not creative enough or not skilled enough or even just not the right sort of person. That last one especially happens with elegant or dainty designs. I don’t think of myself that way at all so I tend to save or maybe hide all the designs that make me think of elegant, dainty women (think Victorian ladies on their fainting couches). But you are so right that practice is the only way to get the skills I want. Good video.
What a wealth of ideas here!! Thank you so much for sharing this, incredibly helpful for all us makers! I love the envelope liner idea, very fun. And to the point of us not always liking every piece of a paper pad or stamp/die set, I also think giving ourselves permission to not use all of it and that be totally fine could be a great mindset.
Hi Mary! You know, that goes right along with the thought that we have all this stuff to enjoy. So if having all sorts of old papers you don’t even want to use anymore is a drag, totally purge and share with those that will love using it. And then do get what you’ll enjoy. Of course you’re balancing budget and if there’s more useful things to spend your craft money on, your choice!! 😉
Just came from Justine's video and looking forward to use my pattern paper. I am ready to go off to a new adventure! I am excited to explore with your help.
So Justine sent me your way and I’m in the boat with if I use it it won’t seem homemade. But I do like buying it but not storing it. I will play this again along with Justine’s video and hope I can free myself up! 🙏
Hi Barbara, so glad you came over to watch! That is exactly my personal thought as well. I found playing with the papers thinking what can I do that makes this extra creative was actually really helpful. By having the texture or pattern or coloring already done from the paper, it really did free up by brain to get more creative on other elements of the card. I hope you have fun playing with it, but just remember guilt is never required about having bought something you don’t end up using. I love the idea Justine shared of passing it along to someone who can give it some love.
OMG..You are sooooo right. Thanks for the tips on changing your mindset makes so much sense. I found you from Justine's channel. See you soon. Thanks again.
Wonderful, Christa! So glad you’re here 🥰 It can be really fun to dig into those products we’re not getting a lot of use from. Makes them a little like new again!
I really enjoyed your video. You took a problem that I struggle with, laid it out in understandable terms, and provided both examples of familiar, defeatist thinking, and of new, positive thinking. You just made everything very clear, in a fun way, and looked natural doing it. That’s a rare skill. If you have the time, please consider branching out into other crafts and subjects, so as to reach a wider audience. I think I’ll subscribe, even though I don’t make cards (I make books), so I can see more, some time. 💕
Hi Phoebe! Totally, the thought processes are applicable to different hobbies and just life situations in general! I love sharing it, but it is through my lens of experience for sure. I would love to share more widely, so it’s a good thing to play around with because my brain wants to go straight to I know nothing about other hobbies 😂
Great video! Yep, I thought of all that. Justine's collaboration with you , sent me to your page. I am now a subscriber and looking forward to watching more videos in the future.....now I need to go work on that pattern paper and immediately use it or lose it .....and I one of those that has paper for years , just waiting for that one project.
Thanks so much for this re-thinking class. I’ve come a long way on my own already, diving into my patterned paper hoard and putting myself on a temporary spending freeze for the moment, trying to create some space on my shelves and create with lovely papers I’ve collected. I’ve subscribed to hour channel, I came over from Justine.
I think the weirdest thing is I somehow thought I was pretty much the only person who does this. I do not have a ton of patterned paper, but I definitely buy it and then a) don't really know what I want to do with it, and b) don't want to use it because it seems somehow more "precious" to me and I don't want to use it up. And maybe there will suddenly be a shortage of patterned paper and I wont be able to get more??? Also, I do foiling and I am the same with the foil. I buy much more than I need, then don't want to use it or if I do I cut it too small trying to conserve it and then, becaue I cut it too small, my project may fail. Then I save the tiny scaps that I will never use. The scraps start stressing me out after a while. This is supposed to be fun, right? :) The foil in particular seems so "precious" because it is pretty and shiny and very thin and fine. But it actually does not really cost that much money and I certainly can replace it when I run out so I really need to chill out about it and enjoy my foiling projects. I do the same thing with heat transfer vinyl and many other things. This is probably not limited to crafting, but it is definitely a crafting issue. I will take your suggestions to heart! And I WILL do SOMETHING with that patterned paper this week.
Hi Olivia, so much yes!!!! You are not alone, you can probably tell that from the comments. And totally it’s a life issue that shows up in crafting. Now it’s time to get curious about it and start questioning it when it pops up!
OMG you read my mind... these are totally the thoughts I have about patterned paper!! And I too have a ton! Thanks to Justine for sending me over to you! The video was great and can't wait to check out your other ones! Thanks for sharing!
I LOVE it!!!! I thought I was the only dork who read “choose your own adventure” books!!! They were my fave! I am amongst friends!!!! So incredible! Great vid that I need to put to practice!!! Thank you!!! 👍😜🥰
One of the ways I got over the scarcity mentality is that I buy digital paper. That way I can always print out exactly what I want. And, the digital pattern paper is stored on my computer so it doesn't take up room like physical paper does. I just print out what I need when I am ready to use it.
@@inkhillrevival289 It does take a bit of finagling with the color and I use quality paper. But, it saves me so much money. I have an inkjet and a laser jet so I have lots of options at my disposal.
Wow! I think this is the first time I’ve seen a video of yours, so nice to meet you. And I’m feeling like I’m a nail and you’re the hammer that just hit me on my head. In other words you’re totally on point. Can’t wait to get to know you better. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Hi Cindy, aw thank you so much! We have a lot of the same crafty values we like sharing about. Yes, using that paper can be a fun change to the status quo for a lot of us.
I loved the content of this video; we need more like it! My problem with patterned paper is that I fall in love with the colors, patterns, etc; then I have no idea what to do with it. That's why it sits at the bottom of my drawer.
Hi Diane, I’m so glad you enjoyed it! Totally easy to fall in love with! I just love paper and color and pattern, too 🥰 Is that thought you could find at least one way to use your paper believable to you? If not you could try for something different like, I pair my clothes well, maybe I could do the same with paper. Or I can find ways to use this paper without even needing to pair it. Always gotta believe the thought for it to lead to the action you’re looking for.
Hi Sherri! Yes!! It’s always what I wanted to see more of. I’m very happy to contribute to content that helps people feel a little more satisfied and creative. That’s the hope! Love Justine’s new direction, too!

Yes!! That’s totally how I started, too. Actually patterned paper was so helpful at the beginning when supplies were low. I still use patterned paper occasionally for quick cards, paper piecing, stamping and shading onto. But if it’s served its time for you, I’d totally pass it on.
Your collaboration with Justine came at a perfect time gor me as I pack up my stash to move to another province. Thank you so much. ❤
Yes!!! That’s such a perfect example. Love the idea of joy in using our fav supplies! Thanks for watching ❤️
@@floradiamonds totally, I love the idea of passing it on to someone who would enjoy it 🙌
@@inkhillrevival289 Thank you.
Came here from Justine's video. Can definitely relate to the scarcity mindset. I have no problem using pretty paper when I have multiples but when I have just one left it becomes really hard to use.
I get it! Even just noticing that and paying attention when it happens is a way more powerful practice than you’d think! Thanks for popping over to watch!
this is such a great video!! I know I've already said this many times but you have a gift for talking and motivation!!
Thanks so much, Keren! You are way kind!
I'm soooo happy I found your channel.
I'm a craft stash hoarder, though I'm in recovery 😅
The "this isn't going to be good enough" and "the card is just gonna end up in the trash" are my two main problems.
😂😂 Thank you so much!!! You know it’s a personal choice 😉 Haha I’ve decided to do some following up next week based off comments!
I like the "choose your own adventure"! That sounds like fun, and you offered some great suggestions in this video! ( I liked the hexagons made out of scraps!). I have a feeling I am going to get a lot out of your collaboration with Justine! ❤️👍💪😎
Yes, just like the choose your own adventure books 😂 Thank you!! Wonderful!
I love you are helping people be more mindful about their
Craft supply purchases.
Yessss! So glad to hear about your experience. Enjoy that paper ❤️
I have so much paper that I am thankful for all these tips to use them. What I intended when I bought them hasn't happened . I appreciate your minset and have added your subscription to my list. TFS !
Wonderful, so glad you’re here! Excited for what you’ll make! You have lots of options to play with 💕
This is so me! I'm not a card maker, but I enjoy paper crafting, and everything you said here is my entire mindset. Definitely need to re-evaluate and reset. Thank you.
You are so not alone! I’ve had some of these exact thoughts 😆 thanks for watching, Coral!
Super great, thank you. We all need this pep talk. Me so much I watched it again and commented, again, lol! Include A Thank You is the queen of pattern paper, very creative with it and her stuff looks handmade and unique and interesting, it's like finding little treasurer.
Oh how fun, thanks for sharing! And thank you so much for watching and commenting again 😆😘
This is true 🙌 oh a craft thrift store sounds absolutely amazing!
@@inkhillrevival289 I try not to walk in the store when I donate. Too tempting. But, it is a great place to get close to my heart(Dots) and stamping up stuff.
@@nans969 😂 I can see that! It’s so much easier to buy things that are a great deal that you probably wouldn’t have bought new.
Visiting from Justine's UA-cam channel and have SUBSCRIBED 😊
Hi Brenda, wonderful! So glad to hang out with you here, welcome 💕
Thanks for keeping me/us motivated 🤗
Hi Carolyn, that is an amazingly motivational tactic. Love it. Also I’d imagine it gives you pause before buying, too!
Yes!! I feel the same, it’s so nice to have others along with you!
Justine made me look! You are so right...gonna send some of that paper right to a pre-school!! (just the ones I don't love, of course)
😆 So glad you did! Sounds like a great plan!
Justine sent us to watch you. It is like you were reading my mind. Great tips - heading to the craft room to do some cutting. Cheers and thank you.
Oh good, Val! Have fun and thank you so much!
Thank you! Your analysis and solutions are perfect. If I can act on them, I may be able to get into my spare room some time soon 😁🙄😉 Clare x
Have fun, Judy! Thanks so much for watching❤️
Just popped over from Justines channel. Thanks so much for the insight. I really have alot too. Guess I will be crafting this weekend. Thanks Justine and thanks to you too kerry. Now subscribed to seeing more of your posts. 🦘🐨
🙌 have fun making with it!! Thank you, so glad you’re here!
Wonderful! Yes, a different perspective is the key to doing what you want!
Hi Barabara! Thank you 😊 So glad you found the thought process piece helpful!
Love This Video Girl!
Although I don’t see myself as a Paper Hoarder, I do see myself as a Paper Collector.
😍😍😍
Lol we do love our paper!
I love the card with the chair and patterned paper background. Such a gorgeous card! Thank you for the choose your own adventure!
Hi Arlene, awesome! Have fun using it and sharing your creations!
Minimalism for the crafty. Thanks for helping! Found you through Justine.
You bet, thank YOU! ❤️
Justine is sending us over :D Yes, I have so much paper it's sickening. I'm encouraged to cut it up and move on though...then I can by more, right? ;)
@@inkhillrevival289 definitely 👍

Hi there, Janine!! So happy you’re here! Take it in and then listen to yourself for what’s right for you 😉😘
Just came from Justine's video and looking forward to use my pattern paper. I am ready to go off to a new adventure! I am excited to explore with your help.
So wonderful, Lynne! It feels amazing to let loose creatively with all our supplies. Thanks for coming over to watch!
Great video chickie!! Loving your thoughts around this here. 😁😘😘
Thanks so much, Ingrid! I went all out thought work this week. My hubby needs a break from me directing all of it at him 😂

Hi there!! So glad you did! Yay, very happy to have you hang out here!

Hi Karen, so glad you came over! Have fun with it, you’ve got lots of options to play with then 😉
Thanks so much for this re-thinking class. I’ve come a long way on my own already, diving into my patterned paper hoard and putting myself on a temporary spending freeze for the moment, trying to create some space on my shelves and create with lovely papers I’ve collected. I’ve subscribed to hour channel, I came over from Justine.
Awesome, sounds like you’ve got a plan and are putting your paper to use! So glad you came over!

One of the ways I got over the scarcity mentality is that I buy digital paper. That way I can always print out exactly what I want. And, the digital pattern paper is stored on my computer so it doesn't take up room like physical paper does. I just print out what I need when I am ready to use it.
Love it!!! You just circumvented the issue altogether 😆😆 How do you like the quality of printing? Ive never tried digital paper before.
@@inkhillrevival289 It does take a bit of finagling with the color and I use quality paper. But, it saves me so much money. I have an inkjet and a laser jet so I have lots of options at my disposal.

Hi Diane, I’m so glad you enjoyed it! Totally easy to fall in love with! I just love paper and color and pattern, too 🥰 Is that thought you could find at least one way to use your paper believable to you? So much patterned paper I purchased years ago when I thought that's what I needed to create a handmade card. Now that I have discovered distress inks I have no clue what to do with the patterned paper. It's just not my style anymore but I hate to ditch it.
Yes!! That’s totally how I started, too. Actually patterned paper was so helpful at the beginning when supplies were low. I still use patterned paper occasionally for quick cards, paper piecing, stamping and shading onto. But if it’s served its time for you, I’d totally pass it on. Here’s a purging video that may help ua-cam.com/video/NXjM7NnVt9Q/v-deo.html
Once I use it, it's gone! I often think along these lines without even realizing it!
Yes!!! It’s such a common mindset. It’s really awesome to spot it and then be able to start questioning it.
Oh yeah ... the scarcity mindset is weirdly a big factor. Enjoyed your video and subscribed. Glad you and Justine collaborated!.
