This is a strong teaching. Yet it’s simple I interpret it as, unless you are willing to humble yourself before god, unless you are able to admit your faults I cannot help you.
“I am the Law of Moses” was an understatement . He is the Law of everything. He is in continuous contact with his Father. He looks up, and thanks Him as the scene ended.
😢 God wants a relationship with us believers, not a religion like how theyre thinking that sin is nothing when its in all of us. Jesus is mine and your salvation and he is still waiting for his unbelievers to accept it. Now i dont know Gods plan that was set up, he makes it all happen. I was so giddy and excited during the part when the priest was like "are you claiming to be the Messiah, or are you merely claiming to be the Lord's prophet?" And Jesus's response: "Yes." Oooooohhh! I was like YEEEEESSSSSS!!! Oh my heart was so full of joy and righteous pride and I felt kinda victorious because I was like "OOOH THAT PROBABLY FELT REALLY GOOD TO SAY THAT!" Claiming His birthright after so long probably felt empowering and humbling at the same time! What courage that took, but also I think He may have been aware that some people could choose to not believe, and that's a sad thought for somebody who loves mankind...So that's why I think it took so much courage at that time. Think about it ... The 2nd coming may feel like a wonderful thing for many people who want Jesus to come again, but when He does come again, if there were people who didn't want Him to, I can understand why that would require so much love and devotion and trust and courage and faith and humility and ... whatever else may be needed to do what may need to be done to obtain peace and happiness and joy and... I mean like, think about it... Didn't the scriptures say something about Christ coming to dwell among us in the latter days and those who know him will see Him or something like that? ...so um... The truth is it's not only the Jews or the people of Nazareth who failed to recognise Jesus as the Saviour. I see most of the people around the world are blind to see Jesus. Just as the scripture said: Man cannot find God, God finds the man. The disciples did not chose Jesus, rather Jesus chose them. It brought tears into my eyes and shook me when I saw how sceptical the people were in the synagogue and their failure to recognise Jesus as the Saviour. Every single word Yeshua said and did is just and true. Why would He do something to pacify their own ill motive that lack faith, rather than following God's will.
"I am the law of Moses"... - I know this line was written in for dramatic purposes and isn't from scripture, but what fantastic dialogue to hammer home the spirit of this exchange. The local Rabbi was absolutely outraged, and with six words Jesus proclaimed divine authority incarnate. Looking at this from a story-telling point of view, that moment was a jaw dropper, and invoked thoughts of Breaking Bad and "I am the one who knocks". Regardless of the viewers religious beliefs, this show is absolutely brilliant. I hope more non-Christians will give it a chance, because the most popular shows (and almost all stories in general) either consciously or subconsciously follow these narrative tent poles... and the way they're telling this story is executed brilliantly. For me this is the best episodic show I've seen since the aforementioned Breaking Bad.
How interesting that Isaiah 61 is also the passage that Jesus shared with the children in Season 1 to explain why he was here. How different a reaction, underscoring the truthfulness of what Jesus said that we must turn around and become like young children to enter the kingdom. How different from the hard headed and hard hearted people of Nazareth.

Fine performance. I as an athiest, agnostic I do not believe in God, but I do believe in the man we call The Christ. Why we went from his true teachings of peace and love to all men, women and children in the world. To a world of greed and suffering, I will lay that at the feet of the corruption in the churches who profit through their greed in his name. Most importantly how can they justify killing in his name. Believe in the Christ, but not in the religions that justify war and persecute those who do not believe in there heresy.
I love Mary at 9:27. When Jesus says, "I am" [which is, by the way, the biblical name of God per the book of Genesis] ... they cut to her and she's got this smile on her face. She looks like she's about to burst out of her skin. She wants Him to acknowledge that He's the Messiah and the Son of God.
I have stood at the cliff outside the city of Nazareth where this took place. I was so overwhelmed with the fact of where I was, that I stood in silence. One of my favorite places.

Can we just appreciate how brilliantly depiction of Jesus is in this series! There is no loftier than now, in human superiority, there was a man who knows and is aligned with the truth. 😢 God wants a relationship with us believers, not a religion like how theyre thinking that sin is nothing when its in all of us. Jesus is mine and your salvation and he is still waiting for his unbelievers to accept it. Now i dont know Gods plan that was set up, he makes it all happen. Gods hands are ready for us who choose to become a follower in Christ Jesus. Like a city without rules is not a city at all. It becomes chaos and destruction. Jesus is the light, truth and the way. The only way up is through him and him alone. There are no short-cuts.

Oooooohhh! I was like YEEEEESSSSSS!!! Oh my heart was so full of joy and righteous pride and I felt kinda victorious because I was like "OOOH THAT PROBABLY FELT REALLY GOOD TO SAY THAT!" Claiming His birthright after so long probably felt empowering and humbling at the same time! What courage that took, but also I think He may have been aware that some people could choose to not believe, and that's a sad thought for somebody who loves mankind...So that's why I think it took so much courage at that time. Think about it ...
The 2nd coming may feel like a wonderful thing for many people who want Jesus to come again, but when He does come again, if there were people who didn't want Him to, I can understand why that would require so much love and devotion and trust and courage and faith and humility and ... whatever else may be needed to do what may need to be done to obtain peace and happiness and joy and...
I mean like, think about it...

Imagine Jesus comes To His Home town mom brother and sisters, people He grew up with, Jesus knows how I feel, He became a Man to go through, all we do, so He could be that High Priest, and Savior, He was tempted just like us but without sin, then He died for are Sin's so He could bring us back to the Father, percuted in Sacramento California 💔 God shows me He know how you feel, no one can Comfort you like Jesus
The truth is it's not only the Jews or the people of Nazareth who failed to recognise Jesus as the Saviour. I see most of the people around the world are blind to see Jesus. Just as the scripture said: Man cannot find God, God finds the man. The disciples did not chose Jesus, rather Jesus chose them. It brought tears into my eyes and shook me when I saw how sceptical the people were in the synagogue and their failure to recognise Jesus as the Saviour. Every single word Yeshua said and did is just and true. Why would He do something to pacify their own ill motive that lack faith, rather than following God's will.
"I am the law of Moses"... - I know this line was written in for dramatic purposes and isn't from scripture, but what fantastic dialogue to hammer home the spirit of this exchange. The local Rabbi was absolutely outraged, and with six words Jesus proclaimed divine authority incarnate. Looking at this from a story-telling point of view, that moment was a jaw dropper, and invoked thoughts of Breaking Bad and "I am the one who knocks". Regardless of the viewers religious beliefs, this show is absolutely brilliant. I hope more non-Christians will give it a chance, because the most popular shows (and almost all stories in general) either consciously or subconsciously follow these narrative tent poles... and the way they're telling this story is executed brilliantly. For me this is the best episodic show I've seen since the aforementioned Breaking Bad.
How interesting that Isaiah 61 is also the passage that Jesus shared with the children in Season 1 to explain why he was here. How different a reaction, underscoring the truthfulness of what Jesus said that we must turn around and become like young children to enter the kingdom. How different from the hard headed and hard hearted people of Nazareth.

Fine performance. I as an athiest, agnostic I do not believe in God, but I do believe in the man we call The Christ. Why we went from his true teachings of peace and love to all men, women and children in the world. To a world of greed and suffering, I will lay that at the feet of the corruption in the churches who profit through their greed in his name. Most importantly how can they justify killing in his name. Believe in the Christ, but not in the religions that justify war and persecute those who do not believe in there heresy.
