As a Cinematographer this light would be an awesome addition to my equipment, it would be a huge money saver as i wouldnt have to worry about renting HMI for small indie project. Also the ability to have that amount of power with less power draw and heat will ensure that the sets are More comfortable and it will ensure my gaffers are safer. The fact that this light is IP rated is a huge factor, i live in missouri where the weather can go from sunny to rainy in a blink of an eye, having a light that can be used in rainy weather is something that id definitely appreciate because it will help me be more at ease in those situations when the weather drastically changes during shoots. Finally as someone who predominantly shoots darker images having this light with such power will allow me to better control my contrast rations and to create that dark moody images that i love to create in my short films. Having this light on my next upcoming short film Motherhood will be a huge blessing :)

The 1200bi would be perfect to replicate/compete with sunlight as it outputs enough light to be shaped and modified or to be pushed through a window. It would also easily replace a 1.8k hmi AND a 5k tungsten with its cct range at a fraction of the size. I could see myself using it on every shoot

I would love to use this light for creative music video and fashion shoots to achieve stylisticly lit frames in a preferably unique way.
I already own the Godox M600D and a few other Godox lights and they're fantastic! Would be a perfect addition ❤

I’ve been drooling over this light since I saw it was available, and now Godox is giving one away!? I might not be the lucky winner, but if I were, this light would become my right-hand man. My camera and lights often live on the road with me, where I shoot fine-art documentary work. I can’t always choose my lighting conditions, and battling the sun is a constant challenge.

As a product photographer, I would use the GODOX MG1200Bi to achieve consistent lighting for my shoots. With the ability to adjust the color temperature and power output, I can ensure that all my images have the same level of lighting and color accuracy, even if the ambient lighting conditions change. The power output of 1200W would also allow me to light larger products and ensure that all the details are visible in my images. Additionally, the fact that this light is portable and easy to set up means that I can take it with me on location shoots and still achieve the same level of quality as in-studio shoots. Overall, the GODOX MG1200Bi would be a valuable addition to my lighting setup and help me create high-quality images for my clients.

I would use one of these as a warm HMI replacement to emulate a golden hour light in interior scenes. Being 1200W throughout all its color temperature range makes it very versatile.

Being in prep to shoot my first short film, two of these would be the best tools for the night scenes and also Godox is a brand that photographers in my country Zambia know but an entry into the high end video lighting scene would be an amazing opportunity.💯

I would use the GODOX MG1200Bi to shoot a day for night mountain biking cinematic short. I think this light would be the perfect tool for outdoor use where the weather can be unpredictable. Also the bi colour option would be great to mimic a transition from a warm sunset to a cool moonlight! 😀

you need a pretty powerful source of light for a booklight - bounce and then diffuse, so that is one way I`ll use it 🙂

Being a hybrid creator, I will use it for stills and video to recreate moody daylight scenes for the hospitality industry. A light like this would be a great addition to my loyal Godox arsenal, giving me the power output in continuous lighting for creative shots. Great products Godox!!!!

As a student filmmaker, I would use the GODOX MG1200Bi for a variety of purposes. One of the primary uses would be to light outdoor scenes that require a lot of power. With its 1200W output, this light would be ideal for shooting in bright sunlight or other challenging lighting conditions. Additionally, the bi-color option would allow me to adjust the color temperature to match the natural light, making it easier to create a cohesive look for my film.

Love the details in this set-up video, regarding gear placement and so on... thank you for that! If you needed to support a startup DP working in the spirits industry, I'd love your help putting a shine onto the great golden liquid we call the water of life. My first feature (with that name) is out now, and features Scotland. But I'm headed to Germany in a couple of weeks to shoot the next one. Fingers crossed! :) Thanks

i already use the VL150,VL200 and VL300. But even the VL300 is not strong enough for sunny Outdoorshoots. So i would love to upgrade my gear with a MG1200BI to be able to shoot outside and mimic the sun whenever i need.

In Uganda we have plenty of sun but the golden hour rushes out in like 10 minutes so definitely an additional 20 minutes would help in shooting the kitchen scene for my upcoming feature shoot

Would be an amazing light to have for making a constant daylight in the sports shoots I film. The VL 300 I own is good for indoor or lighting interview outdoors in lower light or sunsets

As documentary filmmaker the MG1200Bi will add significant value to my next coming documentry project "Dreaming Passion" which will on the following scenes:
    1) Interview scene: mimicking indoor sunlight on a hazy interview environment angled in away to create a rembrandt lighting effect of the subject face using worm mode color temperature during the interview scene.
    2) Desert storm scene: creating the feeling of storm lighting with artificial rain effect on vehicle where the talent is trying hard to survive through the raining and stormy weather since the MG1200Bi has weather resistance.
    3) Winning Celebration scene: MG1200 will be used to light large night gathering event recelebrating the talent success in front of outdoor building at night where the MG1200Bi will be placed on crane arm and left high to light the entire scene using 60-degree reflector. The other MG1200bi will be used with GP90 lens with projection gobos with custom title “Dreaming Passion“ shooting at the large building formulating large and strong neon like title during celebration. Thanks.

Well. I love the vibe, the coloring, the lighting and the Location. Unfortunately, the Actress is way off. Her, let's say "Dance Moves" are not close to what the songs emotion are. Did she listen to a different song while shooting? I don't know. Also the dude playing the guitar plays in a different speed than the song is. This really ruins the nice production. But I love the light. It really provides power!

That's a pretty powerful light. The interior scene was too good. But the magic hour look was not satisfying. There were two directions of light. I'd probably place the character on a different direction with both the lights open faced falling more softly trough a larger diffusion.
