Diane! Love from Chicago!! Great to see you conquering UA-cam. This salad looks wonderful but just last night we had your salad with the big, creamy beans. The dressing was so tasty!! Stay safe and be well!!

I made this last night and we really enjoyed it. It’s definitely a summertime recipe because it wouldn’t be as good without the garden fresh vegetables. It’s also not a fussy recipe. Thank you!
I love your show on PBS, your Instagram and YES it's awesome to get your emails with recipe tips and links to these awesome videos. It will be a dream come true to come to your cooking classes in Greece. I dream of this often. Love you Diane, and I am sograteful to have Greek cooking available. Thank you Thank you Thank you!!!
I love this salad. Have you ever thought of putting your cooking school on DAD'S for those of us who cannot afford to go to Greece. I know I would buy them.😊
I have had this village salad many time in Greece. But, I do like it with fresh lemon juice over the top. The Greeks do not use lettuce in their salad. And, I like anchovies
We usually don't add acid because the olives, feta and sometime use of capers and pepperoncini provide enough acidity. But if you like lemon juice, go for it!
@@DianeKochilas I toured Greece a few years ago, five islands and the mainland from Athens to the Bulgarian border. I had the village salad more then once and many times they did squeeze fresh lemon juice onto the salad and in a few instances did not use olive oil.
I love you and your Greek mama energy🎉
Great, plain, nutritious mixed vegetable salad. Nutritious, fast, and plain. Thanks!

Sorry it's DVD.
It wouldn't be the same.
Limited experience with Greek wines, don't care much for them but I hugely enjoy a Retsina with a Greek salad!
Divine!

@@DianeKochilasHii Diane, Thanks for all these great wonderful recipes , you reminds me of my mom , and what about red wine vinegar in salad
That looks good diane and good for me right?
No vinegar?
I had the same thoughts. Or at least some fresh lemon juice
Never! Olives and feta provide enough acidity, so do capers and pepperoncini, which are also sometimes added.
Never! Olives and feta are quite acidic.
Where are the stuffed grape leaves 😔. I love Greek cuisine and the culture; in fact, many folks ask me if I am Greek.
That's exactly what I was thinking I add lemon or red wine vinegar
Greek salad is village food now know thanks
Why peel the cucumber??
