Pancham Da's creative pursuits are just matchess, one after one beautiful composition including outstanding orchestration are the hallmarks of Pancham Da, he is composer of millennium and deserved "Bharat Ratna" Award...
It was such a mistake by the people at the helm of office which could not be set right. It is our biggest misfortune that we could not give him the honor and recognition he deserved, leave alone the Bharat Ratna, he was not even considered for a Padmashree, God forgive us !!!

I still remember the 4th Jan 1994 morning radio news in Hindi. The first news was सुप्रसिद्ध फिल्म संगीत निर्देशक राहुल देव बर्मन का निधन। I was almost frozen as just two days ago I gave two cassette (to a music shop) to record RDB's songs but instrumental version. I still have paper cutting of TOI dated 1986 which carries RD's interview and also many news papers, magazine cuttings having RD article, interview, write up etc.
Boss will remain in our hearts for ever. My son is 19 now. When he was 2.5 the first song he sang in life was Mone porey Rubi Ray(Mere bhigi bhigi si....). I am happy that my next gen is ready.
What is perfect ? This universe , Everything is in exact location , exact size and exact timing. And after universe It's Pancham creation . Every tune, Every Melody, Background score are in exact location. Salute Boss.

Because every year this day i remember the sad demise of my music God Pancham and today morning I have asked my friend about the speciality of the day and with the hope that some video abut Pancham may be uploaded in any Utube channel I have opened my mobile and for my surprise I found this channel the moment I opened! So what this shows is that there are millions of people who still remember this great person and this bad day even after 29 years!!

Hi this is rajish from south africa. Our greatest pancham da died in January 1994 and in april 1994 nelson mandela was elected the first democratic president of south africa ending the apartheid era in south africa. So 1994 was a very memorable year.
Who says R D Burman is no more? He is very much here in all our hearts. Look and listen to to the treasure of melodies he left behind!
