You will not believe how long I have searched for this song! At least 20 years. I Googled it to no avail. Of course, I did not know the artist. Only a few words from the lyrics. Thanks for posting.
Ahh you just gotta love Rick Clarke!! Glad to see Nigera was rocking to this tune in the 80's it certainly had made an impact in Zimbabwe in the late 80's too. Shoutout if you need more Rick Clarke....
Oh my!i haven't heard this song in a very long time.Used to be #1 during my college days in Ife,Nigeria in the late 80's.Thanks for this evergreen song!
Great Britain's Rick Clarke is hella' talented, and this is definitely one of the most overlooked R&B songs from out of the 80's. This "chune" should've been a smash hit, it's as smooth a freshly churned butter...
They don’t make music like this anymore. I agree with all...this was a hit in 1988 in Nigeria. That chorus I feel it, I feel it too....I remember JAJ and the Genie on radio slamming these tunes
Mc Grandmaster Lee, DJ DEE aka Dennis the menace ,late Steve the Sleek Kadiri, JAJ Jacob Akinyemi Johnson,Stagger Lee,DJ Prince 2000, DJ Abbas,Kola Baiye, DJ silver shadow Ofogu, DJ the Slam master J, DJ Eddie Fyn Jnr . massive tune these DJ jam the sweetness out of this song DJ DEE actually used it as his signature tune for his Friday night music night on Radio Nigeria 2 FRCN 2 @@rosalinefadipe6718
This music to me is pure class and will match any music of all times and todays music, simple and very rich in creative soul artistry. in fact it tends to touch one's soul in a very groovy romantic way. Perfection in its own way, for me top ten of all time greats. I only discovered it in 2011 and since then it does it for me.
Rick n Emma beautiful piece of art ❤ I seen them pA live at Legends/Rotters Manchester 88 absolute masterpiece for eternity, never will we see hear music like this again how grim the music today an era gone forever 😩😩 nuf love ❤. Thank you Mr Clark & Emma xx
I remember going into a record shop with my mate looking for this tune. The shop was on Praed Street Paddington London, I think where Rymans is right now... Next door was a camera shop. #memories
We moved togeathr back in the day. The clubbing days, with Everton of light of the world fame... What fun we had... Good on you Rick.. Brownie.. Peace...
Really smoove late 80s British Soul. I was surprised to hear this in the background of a scene in EastEnders (they are repeating old episodes on the Drama channel) in 1987 when Magda is waiting for Den Watts upstairs in the Queen Vic!
Oh serious wooing stuff. What days these were, all the chat ups, smooching, crazy cocktails, rip off prices. But, this era will never be beaten. One of my favourite bands, Loose Ends, 52nd Street and Kleeer.
Great track, was a DJs favourite for Mixtapes in 🇳🇬 we still danced to it on DJ Abassido's Inner Caucus 20mins ago, this evening! Happy New Year for 2021 everyone!! Love from 🇬🇧🇳🇬🇬🇧🇳🇬🇬🇧
I thank my parents for exposing me to music like this I remember my mom and and dancing to song on a Saturday evening in our living room sweet memories ❤❤
Could agree with you more, music from our day was clean and purposefull! Your wish is my command....i'll do something for you this weekend with the classic slowskool jams; watch this space....
I used know Rick thru the nightclubs I used to frequent in the early eighties. He was really nice guy but I never knew he was a singer, he never gave it the big un.
Thanks to my new pal DJ Ptoghanro for finding this song for me after a 20 year+ search! I was not aware the duo were Brits! Shows we can be as good if not better than the Americans in making good rnb songs, Soul II Soul also did it. It's a shame that songs with this kind of melody are not made or appreciate anymore today. Real shame.
2024 ❤ anyone still listening
