Texas Storms & How You Can Help: bit.ly/3dtkApQ
My heart goes out to those who have been affected by the devastating storms in Texas this week. I found this post helpful when looking for ways to help from afar. It also has resources for Texans if you need them. Stay safe, everyone!
This metal drawer system is Elfa from the Container Store. It's on the pricey side, but I've had a smaller set for several years and have really liked the quality. It's plastic-free which I also appreciate. I don't buy new pieces often, but when I do I make sure they'll last for years to come. Metal drawer sets similar to this one can be found second-hand on Facebook Marketplace or Offerup!

    New here?
Hi, I'm Alli! I’m a content creator based in Southern California with a passion for natural living, attainable sustainability, and personal style. You can find me at home testing vegan recipes, weaving the aisles of my hometown flea market, or beach camping with my husband, Nick! We’ve been married since 2013 and enjoy living simply and surrounding ourselves with family and friends.
The through-line of all my creative endeavors during this time has been the simple concept of living gently with myself, with the planet, and with others. Whether it’s reducing my waste on a road trip, practicing minimalism at home, plant-based eating, or essential oil DIYs -- everything comes back to what’s sustainable for myself and our planet. The community I’ve found on UA-cam and Instagram is so inspiring, they’ve become places of empowerment and encouragement where I can share my journey and learn from other like-minded people all over the world.

I'm so happy about this video! I've been following you for years and your channel is by far one of my favorites here on UA-cam. But, I also wanted to say that I don't care how long it takes for a video to come live. I think it's such a powerful thing that you set your boundaries and just put out content whenever you feel like it. Your mental health and your physical health are, as you've said before, way more important then any numbers of followers or pleasing people that are expecting someone to produce content no matter what... Basically, I'm saying that I love you and your channel and appreciate the work you're putting into all this so so much. 🧡🧡🧡

THIS is 100% true! How many UA-camrs have had breakdowns and create fake content now because they just feel pressured to constantly churn out videos??

I miss having my minimal wardrobe. I can't totally blame my weight gain on the pandemic, but I'm larger than I wish to be, so I'm hanging on to different sizes. Here's hoping we all feel more motivated and happy in 2021! Thanks for sharing, Alli. I always enjoy your content.

This might be a long shot but if you got that Tradlands striped t-shirt from tattered in Long Beach then it's probably the one I donated! Which would be crazy cool!!

The white t-shirt with the stain on the sleeve.. if you love the shirt you could look into dying it. I’ve heard of onion skin dying and it would be an ideal piece to try it out on.. just a thought in case you wanted to give it one more go 😌

Folex for stains on upholstery, carpeting and clothing. It does come in a plastic and I think it does have chemicals - but it works!!

I got a bead organiser from the craft store to hold my jewellery, they have like 12 small compartments and they are see through and you can label the outside for important pieces. I have one for necklaces and one for earrings and other things, and they are super small and organized and easily sit in a drawer and then everything is all together.

I would love to see a video about the tailoring process, maybe a before/ after of the clothes when you get them altered? I know it can really give clothes a new lease of life, but I wouldn’t know wha to ask for! X

Unsolicited stain advice - try blue Dawn dish soap. My kids are disasters and it gets out even old stains.

This is just the inspiration I needed to tackle my closet! I appreciated what you said about holding onto clothing because of guilt. Ain’t no room for that in 2021! Completely separate question, are you wearing a headband in this video or is it a tied scarf? If the latter, would love a tutorial on that!

Recently konmari’d my closet as well. Feels so so nice afterwards. And looooove the burned orange knit your wearing in the combination with your eyecolour. So so beautiful!

I always think I have a small minimalistic capsule wardrobe.. but last month I went through and decluttered and had two garbage bags full of donations, and honestly there was probably more I could’ve gotten out..
But I did just purchase three new pairs of pants, I am trying to turn over the 2020 leaf and wear actual clothes and not just leggings and sweat pants anymore.

I totally resonate with how you identified as an “ex-shopaholic.” I feel like I’ve been consciously on a sustainable and eco-minimalism since late 2018 but I’ve had moments of triumph and failure. Could you make a video talking about shopping habits you’ve had to overcome? Luckily I don’t shop a lot in stores (made easier by covid I guess haha) but I usually buy secondhand from Poshmark, Mercari, and Depop. So most of my clothing is second hand and a few things I’ve purchased in the past year are from sustainable brands. How do I deal with these feelings of shopping out of boredom or retail therapy?

I love the color of your sweater! Inspired to do some konmari; just started a new job where it’s more casual so I may not need certain things anymore... so they might have to go! Edit to add- lol at the sloth mode comment!
